Kanu has every right to ask for his own country.

What is all this?

Is USSR still existing?

Is Yugoslavia still existing?
If you spoke of a divided Soviet Union or Yugoslavia while Stalin and Tito were alive, guess what would've happened to you and your family? The law is the law. Obey it or bear the consequences.

Allegation and conviction are two different things!
Haven trashed out 6 of the 11 count charge, the remaining 5 are bailable and does not pose ANY security threats to this experiment of a country!

You folks made a grave mistake by showing your hand too early, buhari even appears more acceptable than you demented folks from the caveland of SW!
Actually, you're wrong. The charges that were tossed out are the less serious bailable allegations, the ones retained by the Judge are the more serious ones that no Judge on earth will ever grant bail for.

Chapter 4, Section 35 of the Constitution spells out in unequivocal terms how Nigerian citizens must be treated when they are suspected of having committed an offence. Section 35 (4) specifies that “any person who is arrested or detained in accordance with subsection (1) (c) of this section shall be brought before a court of law within a reasonable time and if he is not tried within a period of (a) two months from the date of his arrest or detention in the case of a person who is in custody or is not entitled to bail; or (b) three months from the date of his arrest or detention in the case of a person who has been released on bail, he shall be released (without prejudice to any further proceedings that may be brought against him) either unconditionally or upon such conditions as are reasonably necessary to ensure he appears for trial at a later date.”

Who is the illiterate that wrote this crap? The moment Nnamdi Kanu was arraigned before a Judge to enter a plea, his trial commenced.

Its always a good idea to know what you're talking about before displaying your ignorance to the world.

So that means he's still ready to kill and maim? And what does your constitution and law say again about inciting and promoting violence ?

Broda, it was all talk. That's all he did. Many tribes in Nigeria speak violence against one another, some even act on it without consequences.
Well, no point waiting to see if he really would've carried out his actions if it can be prevented before hand, right? Thats whats called Treason all over the world. Besides, he still seems defiant in court and his words and actions differ from yours by far. I'd choose to believe Mr.Kanu over you.

Reminds me of the day students rioted back in UNN, the security men brought their dogs, omo, students stoned those dogs until they all ran for safety back to their cages.

Dogs are good for sniffing and tracing.
Well, then, Nigeria should promulgate a law whereby if you kill a Police dog in the line of duty its like you've killed a Police Officer. Thats automatic life in Prison. Thats how its done out here.

Next, the dogs should be trained to go for the jugular and aim for maximum damage when in pursuit of a fleeing, uncooperative suspect. Maybe then you'll learn.

I think Nnamdi Kanu should be released; not because am Igbo but because I saw that pastor agitate some type of defense against what he deemed as oppression and all they did was give him a hand shake. Many other groups have threatened and did similiar things and are not in jail. There are no clear rules for this case of Nnamdi Kanu. It makes Igbo people feel targeted. I can support the government if Nnamdi Kanu was leading an armed revolution, but all he did was talk and if the government felt intimidated they could also set up a platform to talk and bring people to their side. This action of detaining him for years is becoming foolish, it is making him bigger than what he is. He has a right to freedom of speech; or does he?
It makes Ibos feel targeted?! How do you think it makes the people he was planning to massacre feel?

No he's trying to instigate a situation where America will be attacked so him and his cronies can make money off of selling weapons and security equipment. We fell for that trick once under George W Bush, we are not Africans, we will not fall for that trick again. We learn from our mistakes.

We do not need your advice. We've survived 100s of years without a mad man at the helm of our affairs. Men like Trump are alien to us, and we only hear of them running far off third world countries in Africa and the such. Perhaps, after we impeach him (if we don't lock him up) you should make Trump President of your country?

See below when hailer becomes wailer!

-Plenty money in TSA.
-Billions has been returned by GEJ's men.
-NLNG remitted funds held since GEJ era.
-Oil is selling above budget benchmark.
-Banks nationwide is remitting so much in stamp duty.
-Govt is generating so much through importation of cars through port only.
-war on boko haram has been won so expense on that has drastically reduced.
-govt officials except presido have been barred from foreign medical expenses (less expense)
-more than $25b in FX reserve

Considering all this I think this government shouldn't be lacking funds.

Stop being a blind goat.
Continue enjoying drinking putrid water from dirty wells, after all thats all you're used to. Isn't that what your parents and their parents before them are used to? So, of course suffering is normal to you, Nigerian.

Your children are most likely going to be Grandparents too and their own Grand children won't know what it means to enjoy basic social infrastructures.

Had Nigeria been an exportation nation surviving off of what it produces and selling to the US, Europe, Asia etc, the lower valued Naira wouldn't be such a bad thing.
To export you have to build infrastructures and industries. To build infrastructures and industries you need money. If the money has been stolen how do you proceed?

Dear Nigerians,

2019 is fast approaching and we keep hearing old names being recycled. So I thought it would be my civic duty to post some names that don't cross Nigerian minds often when it comes to the selection of the No 1 citizen of state. Perhaps this could start to jog some peoples minds and hopefully it would bring about useful contribution from well meaning citizens towards ensuring we get it right.

So I ask you all, who among these is most suitable for the office at Aso Villa come 2019? Please be honest with your responses. I am not going to place any introductions to who they are or what they do, so as not to appear partial or be mistaken as a campaigner. People tell me from time to time that there are no good choices but from the much I have seen, it cant be that bad, only if someone convinced the few good to run with the possibility of winning.

Here we go:

The real question is what is fayose's business and source of income to be able to afford such millions (note part payment) for the service.
I guess the job is political stealing. and for Lawyer that charges such amount for a case, he knew he is in for the robbery and cashes out his share of stealing by the Governor else the governor should not be able to pay the charges legitimately.
Also, who are the "numerous aides" of Fayose's whom this obviously complicit criminal masquerading as an Attorney is representing?

They had to have signed retainers, he should provide copies of the agreements and they should be forensically authenticated. If found to be forged or backdated to deceive the court and Mar investigation, this crook should be thrown in Jail immediately.
