I understand exactly how it will be done, you and I have been living in this dysfunctional country for ages so we know how they will make it happen. I have a delta friend who lives in Alaska, the government pays him oil dividend regularly, yet he only became a USA citizen just 3 years ago.

The same guy has not collected a dime from Nigerian government for the oil that is all over his motherland. Yet 70% of the oil wells are controlled by the north. Only a coward won't see something wrong in this scenario and the only tribe that is fighting this injustice is being labeled by all of you as trouble makers? Only cowards accept peace devoid of justice.

Most people, especially the minorities, are not fooled by your "Freedom Fighting". You want to steal and control the oil just like the North(ern politician and his cohorts) has/have done for decades so don't come here pretending to be Nelson Mandela. Everyone can see through you. You are not fighting any injustice, you are fighting for your pockets and economic well being.

But the country was created by the British. Why cant you allow the igbos go? What exactly are you benefiting from them? Since stopping them 50 years ago, how has nigeria been since then? .

I doubt anyone is stopping you. What Nigeria seems to be saying is "Take the 5 core ibo states and nothing more". But you stubbornly want to encroach on their territories and sit right on their border. Have you ever looked at the proximity of Edo/Delta that you want so badly (even though you have little to no relationship to them) to Ondo and Lagos State?

You need to stop being foolishly greedy and trying to play everyone else for fools.

A typical Hausa man cannot differentiate between an Igbo and other minority tribes in the south. Same with the Yoruba, every person in eastern Nigeria is an Igbo person to a typical Yoruba person. GEJs presidency can attest to that, Yoruba and hausas were regarded him as an Igbo even when he wasn't. GEJs name is Good luck Ebele Jonathan, it sounds Igbo but it isn't. So when Biafra secedes, you will deport such a person because you think or assume he's igbo?

You're just highly delusional and childish.

Can you please answer the question and stop stewpidly assuming you know what goes on in the minds of a "Typical Hausa" or Yourba man?

It wasn't solely because of Biafra. He returned it because of British military involvement in places like Vietnam, also. Basically, because he hated wars. Don't try to make John Lennon out to be some pseudo-Biafran hero.

I am sorry, and pls don't take it personal, but there is an alarming dearth of critical thinking skills amongst Nigerians.

I do know that. Ive always said that. If you look in the mirror or recorded your thoughts out loud and played it back, you will recognize that. grin

You guys do lack critical thinking skills. Maybe a lack of folic acid in your diets as kids, you think? Or maybe lack of cold milk? Too much lead based paints in your homes? Or just the overall stress of living worrisome from birth to death? I don't know, you should be in a better position to tell me.

No sir, I use facts, not assumptions:

Akwa Ibom is the highest Oil Producing State and Phillip Effiong, the Deputy of Ojukwu is from Akwa Ibom State ( May His Soul RIP, a great man)
Rivers State is the highest producer of LNG, and Rivers State is a pivotal state in Biafra, read about Igweocha. I am sure you know the meaning of Igwe then add Ocha...(Lol). Komoko, Chokocho, Opiro etc and the Etche environs speak Igbo and these are the territories oil oil oil even untapped.

Yes, if Biafra is declared today, we will have 24hrs electricity. The reason is factual and simple. Rivers State and Akwa Ibom have Independent Power plants that are currently transmitting power to the national grid. I do not want to mention other locations since our arguments are based on these two states. Enugu is called Coal City, I am sure you know what that means. We can power Biafra 24hrs, Yes. I can assure you of this.

If you want us to discuss about the Economic Module that I am presently designing for African Countries. Although I am personally pushing for Regionalism and have already convinced a few Biafrans, for the love of our smart SW brothers, I will not hesitate to change my mind and go all out for Biafra if the SW brothers are not ready to move away from the barbaric Islamists that domesticate women and enslave children.

We all have to wake up and stop hating those who want a better life than the status quo. I am a very comfortable Nigerian, but I am not selfish, I want all others to live in a country that government provides social safety net, medicare, pension system that works etc. And since Nigeria has failed to do this, I consider those who support the status as being MAD. And I know you are not one of them.

All this optimism based on a false premise...

You sound just like Boxer in Animal Farm.

Very shallow thinking.

First of all, how will you identify an igbo person to deport? How can you differentiate between a Nigerian Igbo and a Biafran Igbo? What of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians married to Igbos, will the government break up their marriages in order to deport the igbo spouse? What of their kids, will they Igbos or Nigerians?

Answer these questions if you think you're smart.

How are ibos identified in the North whenever tension breaks out? How are they identified all over Nigeria? Or even when theyre arrested in Indonesia or achieve academic success in the United States?

When immigrants have kids in the U.S and we decide to kick them out we give them the options of taking their kids along, leaving them with authorized relatives, or making them wards of the state.

Its up to you to decide what you want to do at that point. But you can't force your wishes on the State.

Again, very weak, very illogical argument.
So because people have a tendency to disobey laws, therefore no one should rely on laws.
This is the point your argument, and you can see how inane it is.

No, my point--young man--is that you can't rely on the law in Africa to protect you when your adventure goes awry. Laws are enforced in Africa through Jungle Justice Bonfires, clubs, machetes, vicious killer mobs, Guns, grenades, bombs, land mines and knives; a law book, courtroom and gavel come last after all of the above.

But you can keep on deceiving yourself if you wish. Thats your prerogative.

Once again the exposure of lots of Igbos here in the U.S. army has more than made me realize we are not to be fu.ckked with, lots of comrades I have spoken with during my tours are very passionate about Biafra, when you talk about war, better know there are people out here who are paying attention, its not easy to smuggle weapons and lobby for international channels to bring home men who are ready and willing to die for their tribe.

grin grin grin Good Lord, I honestly would relish ignoring you, but I just can't let you get away with this rubbish.

You come from Africa, spend 3yrs in our Army, and you think you know it all?

Listen here, clown, and listen good: My Father and 3 of my uncles fought in Berlin and on the Russian front in WWII. My Father also fought in Korea. I did two tours in Vietnam. My younger brother also laid his life in Vietnam just before the end of the war. I have family that participated in the first Gulf war and in the attacks of Iraq and Afghanistan. YOU ARE NOT IMPRESSING ME FOR SH^T. You're a newbie to all of this and most likely only joined the Army to take advantage of our citizenship laws. You sound like a potential traitor since you are willing to swear allegiance to--and fight on behalf of-- another country. OP, Let me correct one impression. Biafra is not an Igbo thing, Biafra is beyond the Igbo construct which has been polluting the cyber-space. I am not Igbo, yet my father lost everything to that war. To me, Biafra is cry against marginalization, a cry against the inhumanity of man against fellow humans. Biafran represents something more than a country. It is a courage to say, 'No' to slavery.

The Answer to your question is NO. Nigeria can not deport Biafrans after secession, this is not 1970s. Biafrans resident in Nigeria and Nigerians residents in Biafra will be offered provisional citizenships with first right of refusal. Sane countries know the value of human resources. If Biafrans are to withdraw 100% from Nigeria. There will be chaos.

* Based on International Law on Migration of the ECOWAS 16-member countries, they will be required to get a Biafran Passport and Resident Permit in Nigeria. And the Nigerians living in Biafra will be required to do the same. Both Nigerians and Biafrans will be given at least 5 years to work out the terms of migration. Travels within the ECOWAS 16-member countries has been VISA-free and will remain so. What is required is resident permit.

* Based on International Migration laws, which I believe same will apply to Nigeria-Biafra relationship, if you own a Landed Property within the country, you are automatically qualified and have fight right of refusal on Nigerian Citizenship. I know many Biafrans will like to move away from Nigeria, and I am one of them, but will lease/rent out my houses in Nigeria and be paying tax to the Nigeria government while I go back to build Biafra. I will not hesitate to go back and help build Biafra to one of the best countries in the world.

* I will keep the last point to myself.

The same Nigeria/Africa where nobody presently obeys the Laws laid down in their constitution and where disorganization is the order of the day is where/whom you're relying on to help you enforce all what you quoted above?

You should look into comedy. I think thats where your destiny lies.

Thoughtless post.

First of all, no one needs to move from wherever they live.
Any breakaway republic would automatically be recognized by the United Nations, African Union, and most importantly, ECOWAS.

As a member ECOWAS, every Biafran would enjoy the legitimate protection of the ECOWAS charter and treaties that guarantees the right to move freely, live freely and own property in any ECOWAS country, including Nigeria.

There will be no issue of abandoned property, movement restrictions or deportations.

Jesus Christ, are you guys this deluded?!

Nobody needs to recognize jack sh&t when you decide to break away or your Independence is disputed by a bigger more powerful country. It is not "automatic". Have you ever heard of Taiwan? What of Palestine? How about Israel?

In fact, if Nigeria decides to play the ultimate bully, they will put pressure on other West African countries (or even other countries, period) not to recognize your legitimacy and anyone who flouts that order/request gets cut off diplomatically. Nigeria is that influential if you must know. Just incase you guys don't realize it, you're attempting to go head to head with the most powerful and most influential Black Nation on the planet today.

So, go ahead and try to grab lands across the Niger and see how well that works out for you.
