This lady and her child has been in detention since 2015 facing treasonable felony for protesting the illegal detention of Nnamdi Kanu. I got information of her plight this evening and couldn't hold myself . We must bring her plight to the attention of the world . For me Emeka Gift, I will not sleep tonight until every human right organisation in the world gets this information. Nigeria is a lawless country ,so sad .

Emeka Gift is a known liar and propagandist so I'll take his words with a pinch of salt. I bet if you do a thorough search you'll find out that not only is the woman's name not Florence Ugozi, but that she was also arrested on her way to China with a stomach-full of 100% Brazilian purest (and not Treasonable Felony as we're being led to believe).

Nigerian courts have decided that he is too Dangerous of a flight risk to be released to civil population. I agree because of his incendiary remarks which proposed violence; bombings and war against unharmed civilians.

2)Do we have state police in Nigeria? Is EFCC a state agency? What about ICPC, CCT etc? ...who controls them? Who gives them orders? who controls police and military? So how is prosecution of Amechi supposed to be Wike affair? Was it Uduaghan that prosecuted IBOri? Or Osunbor abi Oshiomole prosecuted Igbinedion? Or Bayelsa state is prosecuting Sylva?

Listen Kenechukwu, it is IMPOSSIBLE, in a Democratic setting for the President to have "absolute power". Either you understand this and are just pretending not to, or, you truly don't understand what kind of Government your country runs and are just pretending to be knowledgable.

If the President had absolute power why isn't Saraki in Prison today? Why didn't he just instruct the cops to wrap him up and dump him in prison? If Saraki is thrown in prison today by Buhari (assuming he had the powers to) what will happen? Who will protest? Is Saraki anywhere near as connected or as powerful as Sambo Dasuki?

The bottomline is, Buhari does not have any more power than dictated by your Constitution. The truth though is, he has EMPOWERED all the state security apparatuses by making them free to carry out their duties (as enshrined in the constitution) without undue interference by the Presidency; something that has never happened before in Nigeria's democracy. You are not used to being in a system thats being put in motion to "WORK" in the future. That is why you complain when looters are arrested. Thats why you wail when obviously corrupt Judges' homes are raided early in the morning. Thats why you scream when people that threaten civilian carnage, death, and violence (while simultaneously being treasonous and propagating secession) are arrested and kept away from the rest of normal society. Its not your fault, the old system is all you know and all you're used to. But, whether you like it or not, the new system being introduced will withstand the pressure of time for the sake of the future.
