Dear friends,
My airtel SIM just stopped working. When in d fone, all I see is 'NO SIM'. I can't even access my numbers because it is just as if there were no sim card inside the fone in d first place. Nothing displays. I have removed it several times and put it back but to no avail. I have put the SIM in anoda fone, same situation. I went to airtel office and they told me d f sim is damaged and dat even if I do a sim swap I'd still not be able to get my fone contacts since I didn't do number backup with them.
The numbers in dat sim are so important to me. I really need help on how I can retrieve numbers stored on the sim and I'd really be grateful if someone helps me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Seriously, just find other ways to solve the problems other than these immature ones. smiley

I doubt if u even hv a serious boyfriend yet but u have turned urself into NL's resident marriage counsellor already. U think marriage is all about theories, Mills and Boons, or BCs? What could u possibly know about it? Y don't u allow married people discuss so u can learn? #probably won't be able to bend her head and stay in a man's house even if she manages to secure a husband tomorrow#

Must everyone earn like a senator? Does d lecturer contest elections? Does he spend money on campaigns? Does he have a constituency to cater to? Does he maintain staff? Is his tenure just 4 yrs? If he so desires a senator's pay, y doesn't he join a party and contest elections as a senator?

Politics / Does Nigeria Miss Prof. Barth Nnaji? by israelbenzion: 12:57pm On Aug 11, 2013
Since d ouster of Prof. Barth Nnaji as the Mminister of power, power generation has worsened in a country where at least 10,000MW of electricity is needed but only about 2500MW of electricity is available for more than 170 million people. It is almost as if the government deliberately set out to deepen the misery of Nigerians by removing a performing Minister for Power-many would say the only ever performing Minister for Power-and replacing him with someone under whose watch electricity generation has touched abysmally low records.
Under Prof. Barth Nnaji, Nigeria recorded the highest electricity generation ever; people were witnesses to the sustaineimproved d power situation all over the country. In that period, Nigerians did not need any SA on this or that to tell us power has improved. They did not need seminars, position papers, White Papers, or any kind of figures cooked up and spiced with esoteric officialese to let us know that there was a better deal in the power sector. Surprisingly, when the performer-Minister who turned the nation's electricity fortunes around was muscled out of govt by dark forces who benefit from the nation's darkness (literally) with the approval of GEJ, instead of the FG to applaud the man's uncommon tactics in ensuring better power supply across the nation, they attributed his 'magic' to increased water levels in our dams! As if the rains have held their peace since then.
And what do we hav now? There is more darkness in theland; and yes, more talk to cover up the deficit in pwer generation.
I personally miss the days of Prof. Nnaji: who else does?

take dat: Silly, Fashola is immune from civil and criminal prosecution.
Dear Sir, while I acknowledge ur right to ur opinion, may I respectfully point out that no governor or president is immune frm civil prosecution. Immunity covers only criminal matters and does not cover the legal liabilities flowing frm their acts as governors or as private persons. If fashola wants to take our family land in d village as either fashola or as gov of lagos state, I hv d right to sue him either as a person or as d holder of an office so far as my reliefs ar all civil. So if he has published anytin infringing on d rights of apga, and if d courts see merit in d application, he can be made to pay. It isn't a criminal suit so immunity can't be invoked. There are so many cases against GEJ in FHC Bayelsa. Thats a verifiable fact
Foreign Affairs / Israeli-palestinian Peace Talks: US May Experience Natural Disaster Soon by israelbenzion: 11:29pm On Jul 29, 2013
History and experience has shown that anytime the US or other world powers attempt to pressure Israel into giving up its God-given land in the name of peace and Palestinian appeasement, a natural disaster is usually nature's way of showing disapproval at the dividing of the Holy Land against the express wishes of God.
Now the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, has succeeded in cajoling both the Israelis and the Palestinians to the negotiating table in a peace process that expects Israel to make all the concessions.
My personal prediction is that again, nature will respond forcefully and show its displeasure towards the unwholesome pressure by America. I fear that this will translate into an impending natural disaster.

Lemme disagree on one point: it has been their defence that Chidi was first attacked and he was acting in self-defence. How cud he come back just to drive away d G5 (as u so aptly call them)? Is he part of the security detail? Anyway, d point is dat d same facts u use in defending him could also be used to convict him if d matter is pursued vigorously.if it were not revenge how come he went to hospital immediately if not to buttress d fact of the attack on his person? If it were not premeditated, which particular act by Chinda cud Lloyd rely on as having provoked d immediate attack? By what stretch of imagination cud a mace attack be justified as a reasonable means of chasing someone away frm d Floor? What happened to shoving and dragging?what happened to pushing and pulling? Was there any exchange d moment Looyd reentered d chambers between him and Chinda? So wat prompted d 'macing' upon his immediate entrance to d chambers if it was not premeditated? In fact, let us(u and me) go academic. Let's file a hypothetical written address on this based on d facts as they are, relying purely on d video evidence let's explore wat d law says on all diz issues. Care to send ur email address?

wirinet:

My friend you allow prejudice to becloud your judgement. Do you have an idea of what it takes to sustain a murder or attempted murder charge? The police would first have to provide a motive for murder, then they have to show evidence of pre-meditation, meaning the killing was planned and not accidental. If chinda had died, the most likely charge police would have evidence for is manslaughter.
Now u r d one with a totally flawed reasoning. If u were abreast of d facts, u wud hv heard dat one of Chidi's defenses was dat he was attacked first EARLIER in d day. He came back to the House after the initial attack and d video picked it up frm there. The Amaechi camp doesn't deny this fact: infact, I heard it directly frm d man representing Etche in d House in d first radio interview granted by Nigeria Info. That is dia own side of the story and Chidi confirms it. Now, if a man (or his friends) has done sumtin to u and u walk away and come back to revenge, how else do u prove premeditation? And mind u, premeditation does not involve a specific length of time. It can take me 3 mins to decide to kill u. The short span of time between wen I made up my mind and d time I actually took steps is enough to ground d mens rea of dat offence. More so, d best way to interpret a man's intentions is tru his actions because jurists all over agree that "even the devil knows not what is in d heart of man". Frm d continued bashing of the man's skull, not once or twice, with an object as lethal as a metal mace, wat wud a judge deduce dat Lloyd's intention was?
I wish I were d prosecuting counsel and u were d defence counsel. U for see weda e be as u think.

One wud hv tot that d first question to agitate the mind of readers wud: how popular is Al-Mustafa to be in a position to wrest not just one, but two States for d PDP? What structure does he have? Since when did he become as powerful as painted? And what tactics does d 'source' offer as a plausible gameplan to be employed by al-Mustafa to suddenly emerge a political heavyweight overnight?
I personally think journalists are using this Mustafa's release to fabricate and magnify issues just to sell or get online viewers. Na so e easy to dey powerful?

ujchief: I don't know if this SAN of a lawyer was just hired because of this case; if he has always been chdid's lawyer, he did a lousy job.
As a SAN, he should have filed for a restraint from the police which would have prevented the police from inviting his client in the first place. A SAN will definitely have a pal among the magistrates of the high court at ph that will easily give a restraining order according to the Legislative House Act. But he waited until his client was kept in custody before reacting.

Chidi did nothing wrong; he tried to protect the constitution according to the oath he took. His actions are protected by immunity and he CANNOT be protected.

Moreover, isn't there a police station at Rivers state? Why did he allow his client travel down to Abuja? Those at Abuja have no jurisdiction over this case at all!

What sort of SAN is this?

My brother, try and be informed of events b4 u come out in public. It helps keep u frm embarrassing urself.

1. Nwofor went to Court to stop d arrest. The suit was before Hon. Justice Teetito of the Rivers State High Court. He went with an ex parte application and d Court declined to grant his prayers and asked him to put the Police on notice so that they could also defend d motion. It was after that that Chidi Lloyd volunteered to go to Abuja to answer the summons. The motion is still alive even as I type even though it has now been overtaken by events.

2. Police is not Court where u battle over jurisdiction. The highest point is Force HQ abuja and they can take over or even start any investigation whatsoever. Police is a centralized command.
So next time before u come online to display ignorance, inform urself first. It really helps.

wirinet: I don't need to be a SAN to know that the worst ofense Chidi Lloyd can be charged for is assault, and the worst he can get is a light fine and/or 6 months jail term ( guess), that is if the courts assumes jurisdiction over happenings in the legislative chamber.

I hope chidi is not being tortured to change alliegiance by the powers that be. Because the way the police are taking the case is like a political assassination or terrorism has taken place. Even Boko Haram suspects are not treated like this.

My friend, d facts can successfully sustain a charge of attempted murder.check ur Criminal Code Act or Criminal Code Laws Rivers State before u assume.

How would people just come online, fabricate stories of torture without any source, without verifiable links, and we all start jumping into the fray? Especially when the allegations are coming frm d person's own lawyers! Let the OP show proof here. Or he shd go and ask Nwofor for proof first b4 misinforming people.
Lloyd is undergoing decent interrogation and is actually cooperating. Why shd he be tortured? Where? By whom? Abeg let's see front jare!

I personally know Nwofor. His full name is B.I. Nwofor (SAN). We shd all knw dat lawyers will say anytin to get sympathy for their clients, especially in a matter such as this which is being mainly fought in d public domain. Dis misinforming article is just to sway public sympathy. Questions:
1. Where did he see Lloyd in PH? Where was he transported to?
2. Why wud Lloyd be brought here for interrogation when the matter is being handled by Force HQ, Abuja, especially when we all know dat CP Mbu has issues with Amaechi and his camp?
3. Which office is now particulalry investigating Lloyd here?
4. Was he informed that Lloyd was been transported here for him to have seen Lloyd? Why didn't the Police simply whisk him away instead of making a public display of a high-profile suspect like dat?

I know Emenike Ebete too, d son of a retired Judge of the Rivers State High Court. He has been d Assembly's lawyer but Nwofor was brought in cos dis was beyond Ebete (or so they felt). He is Lloyd's friend and lawyer. Why wudnt he misinform the public just to win public sympathy?
Bottomline: the OP's post is a propaganda article. Take it with a pinch of salt. Very untrue as to actual facts. Designed to incite.

If only people knew how uninterested d average PH- or Riversman is in all diz happenings; how we term it as politicians' wahala, they wud not credit the problem wit the high hype it has received. Mention where in PH that dia is any slightest problem, violence, or even threat of violence simply because of d disgraceful actions of the politicians. Stop misinforming people.

Family / Re: Rise Of The Feminist Wedding by israelbenzion: 10:12am On Jul 27, 2013
I agree that women are so confused, especially the sub-breed of that gender that refer to themselves as feminists. In Nigerian Courts till this moment, u refer to a female Judge as ‘My Lord’. During Bar meetings, even female lawyers persist in addressing everyone present as ‘Gentlemen’, ladies inclusive, reason being the old English tradition of holding that ‘there are no ladies in the Bar’. At best, they adopt the modified version of ‘Gentlemen in skirt’ when referring to their fellow female lawyers. Why cant they demand a change in titular nomenclature to reflect feminism? Y shd a woman judge allow herself to be called ‘My Lord’ if not because she wants to be like a man?

And I think that’s what causes d confusion: feminists set out to create an identity for females, but instead end up demanding that they be seen as men. Y cant a woman who heads a chair be a chairwoman? They prefer to be chairmen too. Have u ever seen a man hunger to be addressed as a chairwoman? I think they shd feminize things that pertain to themselves instead of seeking to apply the masculine status quo to themselves. Makes no jot of difference if the standard u seek is still d male standard: u also want to be chairman, my lord, etc. and u say it isn’t a man’s world when ur quest to be different is in reality an aspiration to be like a man…

And that’s why feminism doesn’t even have support amongst the majority of women, at least here in Nigeria: the would-be disciples are confused too!

I went to see a client of mine in Novotel Hotels, PH. On getting to d place, he came down to meet and we got in tru d reception. There was a scanner there which he refused to pass tru. Wen d hotel staff at d reception desk was about to make an issue out of d fact dat my client (a very, very steady guest in d hotel) refused to be body-scanned, he started yelling at them never to ask him to undergo dat procedure again. He reminded them of wen a white woman, right b4 his eyes, walked majestically past d scanner and they enevr batted an eyelid. Why shd they bother him to pass tru d scanner wen they slavishly allowed d white womn to enter d premises witout insisting she pass tru same? I was dumbfounded: in Nigeria too? They treat us as slaves in their countries. When they come here, we treat them as kings and queens and treat ourselves and our fellow blacks as slaves just to impress d white man!

A friend of mine yesterday was arguing that Nigeria shd align with China more since our romance with the USA and UK and d West had yielded nothing. That China would be more amenable to helping us develop. And I asked him: wen will u understand dat our development is our own task? Must we continue to be slaves to others forever? Who did China enslave herself to before developing?
Now, China has built and donated the AU house in Addis Ababa to AU,and by extension, Africa. Do u think that wouldn't entitle her to some say in our affairs, or even trade concessions? Must we jump from one master to the other?
