Why is everyone bent on using IQAS and WES. I used ICES (BCIT) and got it less than 4 weeks after they received my documents. That was abt 1.5months ago.

The only con is that that they dont send a soft copy, rather u are sent 2 hard copies.

Plz I have read ur post on ICes but I need further clarification.
1-how did u make payment? Cos I read on their site that it's only credit card.
2-can we send transcripts to them without quoting any reference number while waiting for their response on how to pay.
Plz ur swift response is highly appreciated as I want to port from Iqas.
NB. Any other person with experience of ICes can also respond.

Good morning people, this issue is giving me concern. Earlier I had sent iqas my certificate via hellofax which they acknowledged in about 2 days. They were waiting for my transcript which did not leave Nigeria after about 7 weeks. Eventually, it was sent and delivered to them but they are yet to send me an acknowledgement mail and it's been well over 4 weeks from the date if delivery to them

Plz call them. U may also check my posts about IQAs.

Please I sent you a pm, it is in regard to IELTs. My payment window period elapsed but I need to retain the test date. Have emailed british council but no reply, please help with the contact that sorted yours out. Thanks

Just register again if d date is still available in ur preferred location. No need to send mail. I registered like 3e before maKing payment.

Okay.

So I sent them a mail today to ask about getting a full refund after canceling, and I got this feedback from them.

Based on the bolded, I think one can still cancel and get a full refund despite having a file number.

Abi, wetin you think?

It is better then and I will still go with ur option to get my refund. Thanks for sharing.

It's the same process as someone with ACCA. Only that you won't get as much exemption as someone with ACCA. You will however, get more exemptions than someone with only BSc Accounting. I know ICAN is in talks with CPA to increase the exemptions for ICAN holders.

Each province has their own CPA website too. But I think the first step is to register and send all transcripts to CPA.

I hope this helps.

Your response is highly appreciated.

Thanks for this update. I dey port go ICES straight up. BTW, do you think I will get a full refund of the $200 as I have only received their first acknowledgement of receipt of my statement of result?

I doubt it cos d lady said u can only get refund if ur application is yet to be entered into their system that is yet to be assigned file number . So I guessed them acknowledging ur statement of result means ur application has been keyed into their system and assigned file nos.
I was assigned FN approx 3hrs after calling them meaning I can't claim my refund anymore. U see smartness.

Hello All,
Greetings to all the Elders in the house. I am Nicole and currently work as an IT Business Analyst in an Investment House. I am Female and 31. I have a master degree from one of the top 10 schools in the UK, and first degree in Computer Science and Law. I've worked as a BA for 5 years with ITIL , CBAP and other certifications under my belt. While my fiancée works in a Bank in Treasury. His first degree is in an Political Science but he's worked in the Treasury arm of the bank for about 3 years. Now my dilemma is , how feasible would it be for him to get a job? Since we are both considering relocating. He's an amazing man but sometimes when I remember that his line of work does not sell as fast as IT , I get discouraged about settling down permanently with him. I feel because I have worked with IT professionals for most of my working life, I believe such skills are more in demand. Asides the job thingy, my fiancée is one of the most amazing and selfless individuals ive ever met.

We are considering getting married in October 2018

How I wish your man can see this so he can make a good decision about settling down with you but ...

Thanks for sharing this.

In view of this development, intending applicants may consider ICES as an alternative to IQAS. Those who attended universities that are known for responding swiftly to verification may consider WES.

baba @40manlappy, IQAS has double cross me as they quickly send me a mail this evening (approx 3hrs after my call) acknowledging d receipt of my application form and assigned me a file number so that I won't be able claim my refund. See oyinbos dey play fast one on me naija man.

This is for all waiting for ECA report from IQAS.
I called their customer service some mins ago and the information the lady gave me shocked and decide to inform others too in order to make a good decision.
The rep.told me that they are still working on transcripts received up to July 18th while 19th and above still on queue. More over, the 9 to 10 weeks processing period starts when they send u acknowledgement mail.
Also, for fresh applications that are yet to receive the first mail, they are still on July 28th. So if your application is yet to be keyed into their system, we are free to apply for refund of the of application fee excluding the courier fees.
Thought it's worth sharing as I am applying for the refund asap.

Immigration is a slow and calculated process. First thing to worry about is your score. If you have 440 and above, your worry level should be at 5%. The payment for your own iqas has already been done, so you might as well wait it out.

Well, like u said, using Wifey's as PA, if both of us get maximum points in IElTs, our points will be 445 but if we score d base of 8777 it will be 433.

I need advise on this Iqas issue. Wifey's transcript was delivered to them on Aug 3rd and they are yet to confirm delivery of same and 2day makes it 3wks. They have updated processing time to be 9-10wks on their website. So, will do 3 was waiting period be part of the 9weeks or not. IQAs is yet to acknowledge my application as they acknowledge Wifey's own 10days after faxing. Also, my school is yet to send mine to iqas which they promised doing by next week, I am now concerned of how long this will take with the way IQAs is going. It might be up to Nov ending for us to get our ECA. Is it advisable for me to make another payment to either WES or ICES for my own asessment as my transcript is yet to be sent? Please what do u all think I should do. NB, wrote IElTs on Aug 19th, also there is paucity of funds.

This interesting. From WES>IQAS>ICES. We move with the flow! cheesy

I just goggled ICES, they have 2 services, standard and rush which are $200 and $400 respectively. Processing times are 5wks and 2.5wks from date of receipt of docs from school. Www.bcit.ca/ices

You can transfer you ICAN credit to CPA and complete the remaining courses to become a certified accountant. Do you have accounting experience?.

Plz I am interested in this route. I ve checked CPA website but couldn't find any info on this. I don't mind if u can share d process with me. I have 5yrs of accounting and almost 5yrs internal audit experiences.

Check out jumiatravel or wakanow website for good flight deals to Canada
Yeah you can get a letter from FRSC before travelling. Someone posted the link a few pages back. My uncle also said its possible to get the letter from the Nigerian high commission in Canada for about 20dollars

you can also check travelstart.com or ethiopia and Egypt airline for good fares.

The reference number on the application form is the exact number that is required to apply for your transcript, you are on the right path. No need to worry.

Just be patient. They should respond in a couple of days. If not, you can call them or even resend the docs.
They have been experiencing a huge flow of ECA requests this year.

IQAS finally acknowledged d faxed documents yesterday and issued a file number. my concern now is that I ve sent the reference number on the application form to the school while applying for transcript, hope dis won't create any issue as I ve sent same to my school.

I put my age there. I haven't studied any other language. I stated that it's for immigration purposes. I don't think it impacted negatively on my scores. But I know there is a split on this as people feel they mark you down when they know it is for immigration. Who knows, they may be right.

thanks for ur response my dear.

If you have Access Bank Naira Mastercard Debit, you can try it. I paid IQAS fee two days back using same naira debit card and was successful. I was charged NGN59,233.44 for CAD 215. This mean the rate used was 275.50

However, you can only do equivelent to 200USD monthly on Access bank while GTBank have 1000 USD monthly.

I used UBA naira mastercard for the payment and it went through on the first attempt but too expensive. I was charged N62k for 215 CAD.
Please, which form are we to send to the school for transcript processing? I received two emails from them: Purchase receipt mail and the second one containing my application form and checklist.
