TRANSMISSION EQUIPMENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

- Generic overview of transmission
- Operation and Maintenance of Access level Radios ( This could be specific to the type used in the area). However most of the guys have learnt how to operate these radios on the job without any formal basic transmission training.

I would be glad if anyone could come up with something for me on the above

it is a good step in the right direction, i have long foreseen a time in dis country where the church will lead the way for development in our polity.
but in as much as i dont subscribe to the way the church's wateva meetings cause chaos on the federal high way, it is rather defacing to hear you jakumo talk of the pastor like that(i aint an RCCG member) but of all the people to talk about anyow(not a man of GOD).Please refrain(for your own good), speak no evil of GOd's anointed brah

a step in the right direction(though its over due-but like they say, no time like the present)

but twas jsut a tot dat came to mind after readin sooo many stuff on politics section of NL

some non-controversial symbols;

white Lotus Sect- dis symbol will be elite and fearless elders we have in the country from all tribes fighting to keep the world(Nigeria) sane and free
ex:NADECO of old, soyinkas.gani's and oda ones too

Avatar Roku: he exists in those past leaders dat have put us wia we are today

The new AVATAR- dis is a symbol we are presently looking for in Nigeria. An embodiment of all tribes and nations dat understands every nature
of all tribes and nations of dis Nigeria Nation. He sthe true Leader we seek in Nigeria.

ok lemme giv you one wot we dont have now dat we need so much is the "airbender" and yu know why, hes n embodiment of all four nations; fire, water, wind and earth and he eventually united the nations wen he defeted the fire(tribal lord) wu was pursuin (to him a worthy vision).
in d avatar symbolism, every nation ws fighting for his turf nd nation but a select few of the white lotus were dedicated to cause of freeing the nations and so much themes to symbolise with

@McCloud wa ri tie je jare!
wo you re too spot on my bro

we have a mindset problem in dis country and Africa as a whole
and it nids cleaning,serios one

corruption exist evrywia, even in dem westernized coustries but yet dia is a certain dedication to building the nation
ow hard is it to make sure yu oversee and do a good job of development of your part of jurisdiction(while you still loot wateva it is you want to loot)

like some1 asked: why would you not rather steal 5million dan steal 200 million of your fellow country man's mony
it lways beats my imagination
we re simply just babaric in dis country----everyone i min not just the leaders

i especially gbadun dis posts-biurifull!:

IBB,Abacha,OBJ : All these people got some or most of their education abroad.Research on it.Did they use their management skills to develop the country?NO.Why?They know and understand that blacks don't really want progress. We can deny it all we want but it's true.Take Lagos for example. If LASTMA impounds your vehicle, the least you expect to spend is between N80,000 to N150,000 to get your vehicle back (depends on the gravity of the offense). The charges are ridiculously high but if the costs were like in the UK or US where you pay between $5 to $10 (i think) for parking tickets, i trust 9ja people. They will drive anyhow and abuse the whole thing coz after all, the offense is just "N500 -N1000".They will even spray the LASTMA official with a bunch of naira notes up to N5000,laugh at his face and tell him to get a better job. . .yes. . . This is the typical "educated" black African for you but even if you a billionaire and you are made to cough up over N100,000 for traffic offense, you will "behave" better next time. The only reason Lagos drives are a little more civil now is because of the huge amount they tend to lose if they are caught. So the only language a black man understands is force. He can't be reasoned with (even with education). Our leaders understand this and we can see how they "elect" themselves.THROUGH FORCE! ! !

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A much simpler solutino would have been to adopt the European Commitee system, since the gas is in Niger Delta build the plants there, that removes the costly business of constructing pipelines, and transporting the turbines,
Simple solutions come only from minds that can reason, our current crop of leaders do not!

Nigeria's problem is NOT :

(1)Power supply
(2)Bad leaders
(3)Poor Management
(4)Evil people in Aso Rock (in need of "divine intervention"wink ;Dlol. . .9ja and their "crusades"

It's the mind set of the people.Nigerians or Black Africans have a "reverse/backwards mentality" mind set. That is why nothing we do works.Go to any government parastatal in the country. The people there run them as they like.I was at General Hospital (broad street) some days ago to donate blood to my sick father in-law (to be. . lol).I was shocked by what i saw.Sick and dying patients where left unattended to while the nurses spent time on the corridors GOSSIPING.The blood i donated took almost 9 hours to be administered to the sick old man.BLACK PEOPLE NEVER LIKE TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT.What you see in our leaders is what you see in our police, soldiers, lecturers, doctors, lawyers (everyone in general). We do things "upside down".

@ kobo

i am not out here imposing my mindset on any1 we re both here relating arguements and sharing opinions

all i knw and feel is dis and i av reitrated it many times,

all iam saying is, i choose to do sometin by providing a solution to my problems wia my govt has refused to do dis basic tins by extention helping the lil fraction of pple i can help

yur stance is simple, it says my solution is to seek to do my civic responsibilty as a Nigerian, mke sure my voice is heard and felt by that i am doin sometin

now dis two standpoints is diffrent from some one or bunch of pple wu come around and basterdise and criticise dia govt for everytin without tryn to or show dat while dey basterdise dey re tryn to do summin

wot iam sayin is, dias noting diffrent in both our standpoint all i see is we all have diffrent roles to play in "building the nation" and we will all have diffrent roles to play
now the poster talked bout those wu just complain and collectively they becom a voice of discouragement to soo many pple
atleast from yur opinions so far i see yu wnt a change and yu say it , dat pple shld perfrm dia civic rights
but most pple hia dont and dats d pple d poster is talkin about

we complain and complain and complain

ose!, Sauron

you nw wot i came to discover @ sauron,Akinlabi and , on d otherside-Kobo, lol!

most of us dont understnad the true concept of leadership, i heard it from my pastor dis morning

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, "Leadership aint about the title neither is it tied to the fact dat you have people under
you but discovering your purpose/place and CREATING SOLUTIONS AT ANY LEVEL you find yourself den you know you are born to lead"

like sauron sed, the people shld complain but at the same time understand our place by providing solution at any level
we find ourselves , its called building the nation, i wish i cld get dat POEm we did in secondary school, Building the nation and Mending the wall
you shld read it kobo, i ll look for the authors.

i read somewia above wia yu concurred dat naija pple shld die in abject poverty but continue to complain and not betta dia lot by extention bettering d nations lot

the U.S you guys rever so well, if during dia time of depression, pple like Henry Ford decided to wiat for Govt enabled

environment, America wont be wot it is today, he wont be inspiration to mega superstars dat followed, if pple like Micheal Jackson
waited for enabling environment, he wont be the kind of inspiration he wields today,

and by the way

you guys that talk about TAX, OW much TAX do you guys pay hia in naija dat una dey complain?
no be TAX fashola say make una com pay wey most of una dey carry nose sey waiting dey happen?
and dats even at a point wia TAX recoupment framework has not being tightened and peculiarised to meet the changing(dynamic is d word)
corrupt and thieving mentality of the average Nigerian

yet yu guys complain as if no, the tax you pay is equivalent to kind they pay in UK or the US

find some new excuse to hoist on jo!

Kobojunkie:
You worked with Indians who has such a mantra and you EXPECT NIGERIANS to start doing as the Indians do? I think that is disturbing considering there is
NO SOLID RESEARCH Out there that states that is the best way to COMPLAIN but then again . . . . moving on!
Well wot wld you suggest…dat you have employees dat just complain and whine widout proposing a solution framework?
Do you REALIZE that filling out papers IS YOUR DUTY AS A CITIZEN OF NIGERIA? Do you? I think that is where this problem resides. Nigerian PEOPLE do not
KNOW what their REAL RESPONSIBILITIES ARE.

I agree totally with you here and after dat is done….do I just use all my efforts to make sure the helms of affairs hia me? And wen dey do and don’t do anytin nko? Shld I den continue wasting my efforts I cld channel at finding OPENSOURCE-cheaper ways of finding alternativs to d essential services dey re supposed to give?
You can have your alternatives BUT THAT DOES NOT remove you from your RESPONSIBILITY as a CITIZEN or supposed PATRIOT. It is your PATRIOTIC Duty as a citizen to FILE A COMPLAINT as often as you need to, to get those YOU HIRED in government to start working ON YOUR BEHALF.
agreed 100%
There are almost 100 million Nigerians who cannot afford many of the alternatives you can. ---not necessarily true, most of dis 100millions re wasteful spenders!yu’ll be surprised the amount dey spend on parties is enuf to get dem dis lternativs. What is their fate if those who can afford the alternatives
REFUSE to do their part as CITIZENS? If you really CARE about your country and those who are less fortunate than you are, don’t you think it makes sense for you to fight a cause that will better the lot of the many and not just the FEW- I wld think at dis point think dat cause will be to provide an enabling scenario wia dey can get daily income and get a livelihood wia dia re some hell bent factors dedicated to make sure they stay on ground( in most cases just SELF)? If you really look into my posts, I don’t care whether businesses thrive or don’t thrive in Nigeria at this time considering these businesses have to
MEANDER the current environment and some cut corners too in other to succeed. I don’t believe Businesses will save Nigeria. Again, I don’t care about any INDIVIDUALS business dream considering most of it all is ABOUT SELF, SELF, SELF, and less about actually helping FIX the Nigerian problem. So, let’s not even bother with that end any more.
dis I don’t get…if I create a biz…I wnt spend d mony alone(ofcourse I myt make a considerable amount dan my employees) but in any case employ a fraction of d jobless populace doin my own partbusinesses do help too, sir.
Seriously, if you want to run your business on generator and can afford it that is your business! But trying to propose that as possible SOLUTION to all
others out there is not only ludicrous but sign that one is seriously out of touch with the reality of life in Nigeria over the last 20 years. ….agreed but iam not …SIR iam all for cheaper alternativs, you shld enter yung pple’s homes dis days…yu’l marvel and laff at the alternativs dat exist.i ws impressed wen I saw a frend did to his UPS , adding extra batteries and other tins and turning it into a local inverter, hes gen is gathering dust!he earns below 50k a month!
I am more concerned about the average Nigerians RIGHT and freedom to COMPLAIN, which is what the @POSTER went on about and then tried to explain away by assuming more NGOS will come save the day. all @poster ws tryn to say ws a more focused channeling of our rage and complains das all which is the same view I have for the precious militants of niger-delta(if dey had done strategic and selected bombing of some highly and influential thieves in naija and kidnapped dem instead…twld have made more revolutionary sense)
You CANNOT create an ENABLING ENVIRONMENT for anyone else but YOURSELF until you start DOING what is required of you as a CITIZEN. Assuming one can do that, is akin to one, when called to improve healthcare for his family decides to stock up the refrigerator with the reasoning that if his family eats more, they will likely not get sick often. It does not work at all. In fact it is counter intuitive
.lol, d average naija wld actually do dat….beliv me I knw
Someone will argue that Dangote has helped CREATE an enabling environment in Nigeria as well. But you realize that even with the many he hires, the DEEP PROBLEMS continue to EXIST. More and more people fall below the poverty Line DAILY. Do you seriously believe that Your own business is the one that will suddenly CHANGE IT ALL when the thousands of businesses, many world recognized that are currently running in Nigeria today, have yet to put a DENT in the REAL problems faced by over 150 Million Nigerians?
But yu gotta admit, hes doin hes part and dats d mentality we need to have…do yur own part and wen we all do…it will cause the miracle we nid in govt qrtrs.
IF we were to bring in 200 million professionals from the WEST and other advanced nations into Nigeria today to fix the PROBLEMS, Change will not come still. Because Change needed in this case is for Average Nigerians to start SPEAKING OUT( COMPLAINING, FILING PAPERS at government Agencies, REVOLTING etc) against the DISRESPECT they get from their EMPLOYEES( those hired to be in government). 200 million world professionals can only provide a bandage which is bound to come off as soon as they all leave to go back to where they are from. There is definitely a place for businesses in society but please, can we stop this FANTASY that BUSINESSES will save the day. The more people who buy generators( which pollute the environment by the way) and register and run new businesses, the better the Nigerian problem? What PHOOEY!!! You can only deal with GOVERNMENT problems by DOING YOUR DUTY as a CITIZEN. Your duty is to FILE COMPLAINTS and PUSH TO ENSURE YOUR VOICE is heard ALL, not some, but ALL the times. Even if it takes YEARS, that is your MAIN responsibility as a CITIZEN. Not until you get that, will you have left that CLOSED SELF PORTAL there and actually come to understand your RIGHT, not only as a citizen but as a Human being and then will you be able to respect the rights of others.
Sir kobo, I understand yur points and also beliv govt shld liv up to her responsibilities but at the same time we cnt wait 4 dem…even wia govts work dey re mostly too slow to attend to pple’s needs!

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by Isuata: 2:53pm On Nov 03, 2009
@KOBo
i sed to be petty, iam sure yu saw dat(wath!)

and 2.

wen i min solution oriented criticism,

digressing a lil

i use to work with some indians and dia mantra is simple, if you must complain come with a solution to it, a solution with a framework

dat sed,
oga, in my long thesis above you dia , i told you of Mr.Blackman(yu havnt 4gotten him now-hav yu?)

why wld i wanna waste my time filling papers wen i cld use d same time to research into ow to create alternativ
mins of doing summin the govt aint doin right?, i min

dia ws a time i tot businesses cldnt flourish in naija until i met my current boss, wnt mention his name
came back from the US, Houston to be exact,

most businesses and solutions we venture into involves only brokering partnerships with foreign investors-das all
he brings dem in and they begin processes of setting up,
we plan ow the business rolls out, from cost to profit get or seek for investors (yu wnt beliv ow many
foreigners want to invest in dis same country without enabling environment as most pple claim here) we even plan
bribes in our costs, dats a detailed project plan, and wot av i lerned so far from dis man, he doesnt look at
the environment and complain alone(becos as rich as he his,he complaians and comapares naija to US alot) but hes
doing stuff about it.

i talked about an STB plant which wld be operational 2nd to 3rd Qrtr of nxt year in naija here, ow much is my
coy investment in it? next to nothing!
ow much re dis koreans spending? boy you dnt wanna know,

we re presently in a country wia tins dont want to work not becos they cant work

shld we sit and wait? it wld have been nice if tins jsut cldnt work but NO!
some pple dnt want to make it work!
so wot shld we do my OGA?

we re blessed with brains in dis country and we shld use it,

so many frends i meet dis days are enterpreneurs, operating from dia rooms in Abuja hia with inverters and
half of dem solar dis and dat.
and dey make sooo much mony yu'l think they re govt assassins becos its like dey practically do nottin, only
using dia professional skillz, from investment experts to IT solution's specialists to forex holding experts
and wot have i lernt from dem and kip lerning, find yur place in wateva environment and do yur part and be
deligent becos surely dias always a place 4 you

so sir, i wnt spend my time filling papers to somewia

but sir kobo

i am definately working towards doin summin by creating an enabling environment to make wealth and also create jobs n livelyhood for my
fellow country man

dnt worry yu'll be d 1st to know
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by Isuata: 1:42pm On Nov 03, 2009
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it pains me alot to see (presumed-wu rily knows) adults tlk from all corners of the mouth

@kobo
i rily like the way yu argue out yur points, shows a high sense of risoning(not necessarily corect but high)
being able to hold out is a virtue especially widout the insults, kip it up

now dat sed

its soo case study to note dat most pple dnt think b4 they talk but its far more a worrying case study dat pple dont think b4 they type and post to forums. Y?

ow hard is it to simply understand wot the poster meant wen he(i honestly believs its a she)started this thread?

by far the only and i repeat, the only persona dat hs leveraged -the can do spirit and the message of the poster has been blackman
more kudos to you my bro nd we dey expect you wen yu finish yur masters

to be petty, i wld say wot constructive criticism do you expect from diasporans wu re out dere doing menial jobs for a living, just to be petty

wia did d poster say yu guys shld neva criticise? but wot efforts re you making in yur criticism?
wen yu criticise, wot solutions do you profer?
dia is criticism and dia is complaining, most of the fame kings in NL complain, becos yu see gud constructions nd IQ but yu fail to see the solutions they profer
(you myt wonder wia my solutions are, if yu do den yu must be readin upside down cos i just profered 1-criticise solution oriented)

most of us on NL mainly are complainers

take a typical example of the persona of blackman
he proffered a typical solution dats practical
except for kobo wu was able to argue wit the guy, non of the loud mouth croonies cld comment against his comments non!

wen we criticise, lets make it constructive by proferring solutions

to the major theme hia

we all know that the govt aint providing nada in terms of infrastructure and the enabling environment we need
so shld we becos; we dont want to encourage the govt to be negligent, sit on our oars and starve to death or (or worse)-kill our dreams?
no!

wot shld we do?

find alternatives(if govt remedy aint working), contray to wot most of yu think solar aint dat expensive as yu make it out to bein naija
maybe they cld be inferior materials but i ahve seen far cheaper.
(i gess 4 IT inclined pple we think open source all the time, ways to dispell the dominace of the proprietry kings)

my coy is workin with some koreans to build STB's in nigeria and we re practically going to be running on solar, the cost is crazilly realistic and cheaper
its like a construction project i caught wind of a coy is presently engaged in with some Austarlians hia in Abuja, they re gonna be building houses or anyting buildable with some metal(forgotten the name-used to build planes i think)
you wont beliv, cost of shipping it into the country and building a bungalow, fully furnished with some(alredy decorated woods or board)is way cheaper dan using blocks and its delivery time is in under 2 weeks
wot do yu say about dat?, but the funny tins is dis, they hav a problem with setting a price tag(greedy followership)becos of ow cheap it is and ow fancyful it looks they wnt to charge tripple the cost(i min the naija partners)
so you see, followership has a deep rooted problem in Naija which is not caused by the Ledership but by our degrading values as pple
ow many fasholas and Dukes do we have in naija?

just becos govt aint doin it doesnt min we shldnt do anytin

it is either of two things
channel yur frustrations and rage to providing an enabling environment for yurself or channel the rge to a revolution(weda peaceful or violent)

if the likes of MTN and the rest tot enabling environment no dey naija, dey wldnt be hia tody rakin in so much mony

some pple kip talking of taxes taxes taxes, do we pay taxes like they pay in western countries?
i av been workin in a coy for some coy close to a yr, al i get is my cheque it doesnt say i paid some tax to dis or dat and it goes like dat all around the place
and we wrk closely with FIRS to develop solutions(irony)
like some1 sed in the previous page, we are all the problem of dis country not some imaginary govt

most of us fail to understand the butterfly effect it wld have if we positively provide alternativs for enabling our business and economic environment

take GLO as example, aftr discovering ow inefficient SAT3 crooners are ddnt he go bring his own link into the country, wen it launches bigtime, we'll see a crash in bandwidth cost, efficient communication and
the magic communication will bring
odas are following suit, phase 3 etc

all i am yapping about is dis
@kobo the summary of yur comments say we shld continue to complain and nt provide ourselves an enabling environment (if we can) so as not to allow govt
rape the country, we shld just continually continue to complain and by some miracle govt will wake upminwilly we can starve to death, forget our dreams, jsut complain and dnt help govt provide wot we need to survive
if yu dnt know, dats wot yur comments suggest
and i aint hammering you its yur opinion and yu have a point to an extent but like dis we will ll die out and i dont see yu in the country doin same, lol

enuf 4 now
the comments so far, BLACKMAN

i will reserve some of my comments for now and dwell on emotions

ikeyman,beaf

did yu guys decide to deliberately forget about the incisve comments of sjeezy on some past pages.just becos of the need to pass senseless opinions yu guys decide to see rison
i bow for una o!

why wld mukina claim to be Yoruba wen her ancestors were neva called yorubas, as sjeezy sed,its a word coined out by the british and ofcourse you beaf decide to forget about his comment dat wia the ooni of IFE has been visiting b4 and stopped as a result of illness, shldnt that reduce yur non-assimilation claims against wu eva yu re refferring
and besides.does the poster look like an authority figure in yoruba land dat yu try to batter so much as if hes family is responsible for apologizing to the creoles and assimilating dem.\hes thread ws of discovery not of repatriation.I wonder wot efforts yu av done to do dis yurself,
i bow for u o!
BusinessRe: Sanusi Says: Bank CEO's Should Be Tied To Stake And Shot Dead. by Isuata: 1:42pm On Oct 26, 2009
AH!
and they sey we re the leaders of tomorow, oga o!
look at defiant illetrates, simple English "if not for the rule of LAW" i gess the poster and the rest of the blind battallion bashers of SLS ddnt see.I wonder wen it became a crime for SLS to express his disdain for such un-repentantant lawless brutes made bank (th)chiefs. I gess most of yu dont have not been touched by this dats why (ow much una get for bank sef in the 1st place),most of spend yur money anyow-no savings-no shares o boast of or rather yu and yur parents benefit from this racket. If not i wonder, i just wonder.
i suggest dey be shot lil by lil, every 30 days dey shld be flogged and shot in diffrent parts of the body, treated and re-shot evrytime with 20 whips of koboko. If only yu brutes knew wot dis pples actions have caused so many(not few). But heck,a host of yu re evil-makings(weda directly or indirectly)of this pple, beneficiaries of evil and ill-gotten welth.I read of a famous mortgae bank chief on the US (my daily devotional)wu committed suicide becos Loans wahala, he understood that his actions ad caused alot of damge to the country(ofcouse i dnt subscribe to suicide, its cowardly).
Mosttimes yu lot will say, awusas aint shit n now hias one wu's tryn his best and some of yu say its northern agenda(by the way I Yoruba from Lagos-dnt get it twisted).
its so funny ow some pple like naija king talk, una hail soludo for not revealing dis becos of wot?DFI's-direct foreign investment.Una think sey Foreign Investors are has dim witted as yu lot are, before una smell a whiff of all dis dey know(ofcourse una forget wen int'l media reported it and soludo debunked it then), wot CBN Governors yu will make.I gess becos as wasteful spender as most of yu lots re,yu'l go into a business yu nevas studied (not just the profit potential) but operating environment.TAH! i wonder ,i just wonder at yu lot

i wld hav sed yea as a public servant he shldnt hav sed such if he neva used the CAVEAT-"if not 4 rule of law". but mpst of yu think becos hes an awusa,he shldnt becos most of dem re southerners,no be our broda for intercontinental dey atlarge(ole oloju nwonko nwonko) plus he distributes OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIoNAL every year in bulk(summin i use every morni-biuriful devotional)
wen i see  bulk comments like dis from yung pple i feel like cryn becos i see Naija almost has no future and GOD WNT ALLOW YU LOT TO REACH DECISION MAKIN ECHELONS DAT WILL AHVE ANY EFFECT ON DIS COUNTRY, if yu re almost dia , sometin grave will happen and yu will fall.GOD wnt allow yu lot to reach high pinacle like dis lot , te ma ti pa awon eeyan lekun lo
ah!! oga o
DFI?
i rest my emotions
but to tlk on topic rily, dias notin wrong with wot dis man sed, am sure he knows more dan all we knw he knws ow deep rooted dis goes and iam sure wot fuels him is ow deliberately planned dis pple did all dis,
GOD HELP US
rem dias a caveat to wot he sed "if not 4 d rule of law"
CHINESE pple cannot be  all mad wen dey tuk such decision up as a law

Abi o.

But I guess there are things I too would not know if I am not and never been in (or interested in) an industry, e.g. my knowledge of the Fashion and Celebrity industry, so sometimes I no blame people that much.

I only blame them when you are correcting them and they still dey do agidi (defiance).

Bleep me!

Despite all the simple ABC explanations of Forensic Accounting, you are still proffering this kind of argument?  undecided

It is obvious you have absolutely no clue about the financial industry, please refrain from further contributions on this. No be by force to contribute.
mr femi
na by force to contribute
with all the explanations about forensic accounting?
for those of yu defiant illitrates its soooo simple
Forensics as a science unerths lost wateva and so forensics exists in sooo many disciplines from crime to fossils to accounting to IT to telelcoms etc
now most of this banks exec elcetronicall and with the aids of financial tools best understood by them hav diverted funds to places wia even wia yu can see its being diverted dias a nothing yu can do except with trained and knowledgable professionals
the only thing i wld av frowned at is if Nigerias werent part of dem but the post says these pros are coming to partner with 8 of our own
carefully planned robberies need carefully planned recoveries
besides these culprits have been identified but ow about dia loots, which is d most importnt

make una no dey talk anyow o!

oga !
