It's getting more frustrating when you have 20% battery left and the shaking charger helps you discharge it to 5%.
Although, there are a plethora of mobile phones churned out on a daily basis to address situations like this, one smartphone maker that readily comes to mind when it comes to quality battery technology, trendy, affordable and reliable devices is itel Mobile.

Phones / How Long Can You Go Without Your Smartphone? by itelMobileNG: 9:57am On Dec 06
This question will have most of you saying “I can definitely live without my smartphone” but then a second thought creeps in real fast; “can I really do it?”

So you reach into your pocket or bag for your phone – and get that immediate shock of panic when - it’s not there. Your brain does a perfect job of overthinking and retracing every step you took before that moment. Your stomach lurches, Your heart races. In this era of social media, it’s even sad that you can’t post your missing phone status on WhatsApp or tweet about your loss.
The sad truth is we might all literally go crazy for a minute or two when we realize our smartphone is missing or not within our reach. Thoughts like the phone is bound to go off soon with calls, texts, news alerts and social media notifications every few seconds just keeps crossing your mind.
With the advent of technology and the birth of smartphones, these devices are now likened to babies that need utmost care. With every beep and dings, we are smitten by the reassuring warmth that we still own a device that can connect us to the rest of the world and with every scratch and fall, we are angered at the amount of money that needs to leave our pocket for the repair of such damage.

Then why are smartphones so indispensable in our lives?

1. It’s a fast way to talk to special people for as long as you want

Look around you for a second, half of the people you can see are on their smartphones, either chatting or making calls. Why wouldn’t we love smartphones then? These little robots in rectangular shapes enable us to communicate information really fast without having to travel miles apart to do so in person.

2. It’s the perfect escape from boredom

Are you bored? With different apps made available at your fingertips through smartphones, it’s easy to pick up your phone and quick launch apps like Twitter, Instagram to join in on interesting conversations and images that makes you forget your current situation.

3. It’s a portable camera for capturing perfect moments

Gone are the days of carrying DSLR cameras around when you can easily access a camera on your phone. Thanks to trends like selfies, fun moments are not left undocumented.

However, as blissful and fun as having a smartphone sounds, it becomes a problem when you can’t do any of these things due to low battery capacity. Yes, a charger solves the problem or power bank but hey, why put yourself through all that trouble when you can get a smartphone that can function 72 hours of uninterrupted fun like the itel P32. The itel P32 flaunts an enormous 4000mAH battery that can last 4 days on 1 single charge along with a quality camera, multi-functional fingerprint sensor, Android 8.1(Go edition) amongst other features and it’s affordable.
So when we are still quizzing ourselves about not going too long without a smartphone or not, don’t forget to purchase a premium quality smartphone like itel P32.

Phones / Myth Check: Smartphone Battery Lies You’ve Been Told (and The Best Tips To Adopt by itelMobileNG: 4:13pm On Dec 05
Smartphones – don’t you just love these 21st-century magic formed in a thin framework that has us fitting the capacity of a computer into our pockets? they help us communicate, we get the first-hand information of happenings around the globe in just one swipe, taking pictures for fun up to professional standard, watching videos, live streaming and playing games on these devices is a whole new level of immersive fun – until the battery drains out.
Battery capacity is one of the major priorities we all look at before getting any smartphone. The frustration and annoyance that comes with running out of battery with no power outlet to charge it up are unimaginable; no wonder we might easily believe any little information we’re told about smartphone batteries. Well, time for myth check; let’s find out which of this battery information is true or false:

Myth 1: you should let your battery drain completely before you charge it.

No, you shouldn’t. Batteries used to be stupid in those days but not anymore and we have Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries to thank for that, which do not need to be charged or depleted fully. However, when it comes to the power cycle, there is a charge cycle (the number of times you can charge up to 100 percent and run down to 0 percent). That’s why it’s important to always charge which is contrary to this myth.

Myth 2: closing apps and switching off data improves battery life.

Wrong! Instead of trying to restart or close the apps drain more battery juice because it will require more CPU resources and hence, more battery. What you can do is to turn off features that are draining the battery life, like data calls or notifications in the background.

Myth 3: charging through a laptop will damage the battery

Again wrong! There is no damage being done here even if you’re using a car charger port, however, the charging will be slow and nothing more.
Notwithstanding, here are two power-saving tips for an uninterrupted smartphone experience:
1. Use the extra power saving mode on your phone
2. Make sure your operating system is up to date. Now there is the Android 8.1(Go edition) that performs excellently in power management
3. There is definitely a smartphone for everyone; so get yourself an itel P32, one of the best battery smartphone in the market. It has a massive 4000mAH battery capacity, runs on Android 8.1 with quality dual rear cameras for clear artistic shots amongst other features.
Surely one OEM that readily comes to mind as it concerns excellent and long-lasting battery life is itel Mobile. The brand is not relenting in releasing trendy, reliable and affordable smartphones and they definitely put all these battery myths to check. Visit any retail and online store across the country to purchase the perfect battery smartphone for you, itel P32 at an affordable price.

Health / WORLD MALARIA DAY 2018: Itel Partners With Mopheth Pharmacy To Kick Malaria by itelMobileNG: 9:04am On Apr 27
In commemoration of this year’s World Malaria Day, itel mobile, Africa leading mobile phone brand has partnered with Mopheth Pharmacy, a front line and leading Pharmacy to join the global fight against malaria as it marked World Malaria Day with the donation of treated mosquito nets, free medical tests and free anti-malaria drugs to households in Lagos.

Determined to combat the dreaded disease, which is prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa, itel collaborated with Mopheth, to donate the Malaria prevention items to residents of Isalę -Akoka community in Lagos state.

itel’s Marketing Communications Manager, Oke Umurhohwo, explained that as a socially responsible organisation, the World Malaria Day provided an opportunity for the company to provide support in fighting malaria and contributing its quota to ensuring a relatively healthier society.

Umurhohwo said: “In line with this year’s theme, we are working to bridge the gap in malaria prevention in riverine communities and that is why we decided to partner with Mopheth to sensitize the community on Malaria prevention with the distribution of over 1500 treated mosquito nets and also provided provide free medical tests and treatment to members of communities most prone to the disease.”

Addressing the beneficiaries at the Isale-Akoka shanty, the Managing Director of Mopheth Pharmacy, Pharm Odunola Oyegade said the good health of a nation is predicated on the good health of her citizens especially Children. “When malaria haunts the citizens, the country is haunted,” she said. She urged the beneficiaries to clean up their environments and use the insecticide treated mosquito nets as required when going to bed to help reduce the spread of malaria which she lamented remain a killer disease in many African countries.

In his remarks, the Marketing Manager, itel Mobile Nigeria, Marvin Umebiye said that malaria is one of the major public health problems in Nigeria. He added that over 90% of the population of Nigeria are at risk while children and pregnant women seems to be more vulnerable to this disease. Hence the need to pay more attention to it.

To ensure a seamless intervention exercise, itel Mobile had earlier on discussed with the Baale of Isele Akoka, who in turn called on risk prone members of communities such as pregnant women and nursing mothers, urging them to attend the medical intervention exercise.

Mopheth on their part, deployed mini malaria medical test centre and dispensed free anti-malaria drugs to residents. The treated nets were then distributed after the beneficiaries were educated on the importance of healthy living and staying away from stagnant and dirty water which makes a good breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Some of the beneficiaries of the initiative as well as itel’s CSR volunteer team members commended the companies for their efforts in giving back to the society.

The initiative, which is part of itel’s Corporate Social Responsibility Action plan, forms part of itel’s long standing commitment to giving back to host communities within her coverage area.

Phones / Easter Celebration: A Trip Down Itel’s Momentum Fun Lane With Fans by itelMobileNG: 4:12pm On Apr 23
Everybody has different meanings of what Easter is all about - to some, it’s about celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, while to others, it’s a time to relax and probably have a family getaway. But to one of Africa’s leading smartphone brand, itel Mobile, Easter is a time to celebrate its consumers by gifting them with awesome rewards to enjoy the season.

As a way of reinforcing its commitment to providing unique consumer experience for all consumers, itel Mobile launched an Easter egg campaign – itelEggSpression which was aimed at giving every consumer and fan an opportunity to win amazing gifts while enjoying the fun that comes with the egg challenge. Here is how it all went down:

The birth of an amazing initiative
The itel Easter Egg campaign started with a need to connect our consumers to the amazing feel of Easter while staying connected to the brand’s identity of being creative and reliable. The campaign which lasted for 10 days had over 500 entries, submitted on different social platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by different users across the country.
What was the challenge? Interestingly, all they had to do was creatively paint an expression and the letter I.T.E.L on at least 3 eggs after which a clear picture of it was posted on social media platforms with the hashtag #itelEggSpression while tagging @itelmobileng.

A winner’s tale
No pain without gain right? With over 500 entries recorded, winners had to be picked to be recipients of the itel’s amazing reward. After reviewing the most creative and beautiful entries, four people emerged winners across the three platforms- two winners from Facebook and one winner each from Twitter and Facebook.
The winners were rewarded each with itel’s premium smartphone- itel P31.

The itel P31 is a powerhouse donning a 5000mAh battery capacity which can last up to 3 days of moderate to heavy use with just one single charge. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-Core processors.

Commenting on the itel’s loyalty to fans, the Marketing Communications Manager, Oke Umurhohwo said, itel’s success in the African market can be credited only to the consumers and this activity is one of the ways they aim to give back to their esteemed fans. “We at itel mobile take our consumers seriously, because in the real sense of it, without them, we wouldn’t be here and one of the reasons for our continuous success in the African market is our dedication to providing a variety of reliable and trendy smartphones for consumers with the mind set of empowering consumers to be connected with first class products” he added.

itel Mobile still has everyone in mind
Every brand’s success, most times depend on the ability to understand different consumers’ needs, preferences and devise the best strategies to meet their expectations. Therefore, it’s no surprise itel mobile has continually sustained its dominance and success in the African market by churning out premium, reliable yet affordable devices that meets various consumers’ needs without compromising on quality.
