Tax Analyst

The position will be multi-disciplinary and focus on assisting with federal and state income taxes. The position will serve multiple managers and/or other more senior professional staff members within the finance department. Hello everyone, its great to know that this thread still exists and not only that, active. I was here about 5yrs ago when I was TTC and the advice and encouragement I got from the house kept me going. I am a proud mother of a set of twin boys who are almost 4years now.

Just thot to encourage you all and let you know that no matter the medical condition, God is always there for us. I am a living witness. Thru my trying times I asked him for just one child and he gave me two.

Put your trust in him and seek the best medical attention you can cos faith without works is dead.

yeah, twins with two placentas are referred to as dichronic and one monochronic. usually or more often than not fraternal twins (two eggs fertilized)come with different placenta ( diammonitic dichronic). my twins are diammonitic monochronic .

I feel your pain and understand what it feels like.
Here are my words:

1. Trust solely in God (150%)
2. Get a good doctor. If you have the financial capability go for the best. It's usually worth it.
3. Learn from others experience.
4. Dont be anxious
5. Baby dance in a less tense environment( u know what am talking about), it worked for me.
6. Eat well and use some multivitamins.

They are not rules my dear, but it worked wonders

my husband sent me this link and i read up what everyone has been saying. glad to know that after all the heartaches and worries of ttc some are well on thier way to becoming mothers. i,ve had 2 miscarriages and a still birth, all apparently not related if what my doctors are saying is true, been married nearly a year, been pregnant 3 times inabout 16months (been very busy, some might say) anyways my first miscariage was ta nearly 3months, had severe food poisoning, was admitted into the hospital at about 1am, next day lost the pregnancy, 2nd i was just 6wks gone, had bad cramps, went to the hospital and the horror story began, needless to say, 2 months later i concieved again and it stayed pass the 3months mark, 5months and i was still doing so well, guessi pushed my luck way too far, ( have a quite stressful job too) at 23wks, 5 days, i woke up with contactions ( bless my heart , didnt know they were contractions till they were about 10mins apart) anyways got to the hospital, was told i had to be on bed rest since i had dilated 2cm already and the contarcrtionwere controled for abot 24hrs, my water broke next day and i went into labour 24hrs later, had a baby boy, was told his chances of surviving was slim, since his lungs were still quite immature and not ready for breathing outside the womb yet, its been 6wks now and still hurts like crazy to think about it. guess i've joined the ttc club again hoping to sing a new song soon.

I feel you dear. God is your strenght. I have been there and now i sing a new song every morning. God will take you there.

@ Itiade, I totally understand about the discharge,I was rushing to the loo as well. Ahem! Another question. Were you placed on pelvic rest ,as in, no baby dancing throughout the pregnancy? Did you get up to 40 weeks or did you deliver before that? Sorry about the plenty questions.

I didnt wait for anybody to tell me not to oh. i abstained from it the very minute i knew i was preggie. I didnt make it to 40 weeks, i had twins u know? all the same they were not prems. Knowing that i might not make it to 40 wks, i eat like a glutton from abt 27 weeks. was feeding them every 3hrs. so when they came around they were even bigger than normal babies. More questions pls. lol
I still admit that HIS grace kept us.

We are nothing without HIM.

Hi, was at the hospital today so I got most of my questions answered. I had wanted to ask if while you had the cerclage in,you ever felt that your babies were about to drop out while standing though I was assured it's just psychological fear. Also were you ever placed on bed rest?


@ all,this sounds funny but what does AF mean? I saw my baby today on scan he/she was busy bouncing around

it was not a good feeling I must confess. The discharge was so much to the extent that i visited the loo to confirm if it was AF or the fluid.
The boiz especially the first keept pushing, most times i couldnt seat straight. got my bag packed and dumped it in the trunk of my car cos i felt it would happen anytime.
Behold, God saw me thru. I was on bedrest frm the 28th week( not absolute) was going to work 2ce a week.

God's grace saw me thru.

@Ejadamen: yes pls, am here. I come in everyday to catch up on recent happenings.

@mypeace: I have bn there so I know what it feels like. I lost two pregnancies in a year but u know what, God was faithful, that same year, I conceived and bore two lovely lads. God compensated me. if only u'ld believe his words and trust him to perfect all that concerns you. I also got one of the best o&g docs in town and God used him. don't go traditional mydear cos the devil doesn't give without taking back and youcant trust to keep a child u didn't get frm him. just takia of urself, eat well, keep the spirit up and start baby dancing. it is well with ur soul IJN

Am sorry for the delay.

The process did not take more than 15mins.
I got to the hospital at abt 10 am and was thru by 10.30 but took a nap so as allow the sedative wear off.
My Doc preferred general anaesthesia and i agreed with him.
In the long run I had no regrets cos there were no adverse effects( no cramps, spotting etccc)

I learnt epidural kind of causes back pain.

Maybe there is something like overdose with folic acid, maybe not.
I was taking and is still taking pregnacare once daily(morning) and one of the regular folic acid at nite and my babies are healthy and bouncing

My dear dont take chances, do all it takes.

Hey, lest i forget, i also abstained from onions for the first three(3) months cos i noticed that i miscarried the week i take suya with onions.

One other thing i did was that i had plenty of rest. Was either eating or sleeping.
When am not sitting to eat then am definitely lying down.
I gave my body enoff rest and plenty of chance for the embryo to fully implant.
Mind you, the spotting didnt stop, but was not as heavy as the previous.

Permit me to confess that I had an overdose of folic acid.
The recommended dosage is 400mg but i was taking 800mg, rmbr the body doesnt store it till the next day, so I felt while starve the body of what it might need and if not needed expelled within the next 24hrs.

Didnt consult anyone to pray for me.

I had a personal encounter with Christ.
First, be born again if you are not.
Give him your all
Trust him with your health cos he is intrested in all that concerns us (He is the greatest physician)
and, you ave your miracle.

I other thing that might intrest you is that I asked God for a child and he gave me two.( I had a set of twins 3weeks ago, meaning God is alive)
He can do all things.

@ my peace, cld be an issue with the cervix. Dont ignore it.
I started spotting each time at 6weeks.
You can imagine!!!!!
This last one, I went on leave immediately i started spotting and had the cerclage done at 12 weeks.
Believe me, the spotting stopped and I didnt have any issues anymore.

Lest I forget, I was on progesterone inj from week 6 - 13, two times a week. not once as most docs do.
my new doc said there was nottin like having too much prog. in the system. pls consider it.

I know what it feels like cos I've bn there.
Lost two pregnancies also at 8weeks but to God be the glory, I carried to term and was delivered of my lovely babies 2 weeks ago.

These are the steps I took:
Changed my doc,
Did hormonal assay,
Trusted God,
Cerclage
Prayedddddddddd!!!!!
A miracle atlast.

hi ladies, to be frank wit you all, i dont believe in any china/japanese product. i'ld advice that you go for either forever living products or GNLD if u must. i know of someone who used tianshi and ended up having internal bleeding. pls be careful. in my own case, i only used pregnacare for a couple of months, BELIEVED GOD for a gift and visited a GOOD O&G doc. If you reside  in lagos, I'm willing to give you the addy of the hospital on phone/email as am not willing to advertise their services.

hi lanre, how far gone is your wife? i'ld share my experience wit you. early this yr, i found out that i was pregnant and started spotting at 5weeks. meet my doc who ran tests and said my progesterone level was low. i was then put on supplements. i must confess that i lost my precious ones at 8weeks. most docs in nigeria are not competent, i changed my doc who monitored me from my ovulation date and to God be the glory, i am far gone. please ask yourself these questions: am i comfortable with my doc?, is he a specialist?, how many medium/high risk pregnancies has he handled? etc. best of luck

Dear doc, here is my story! My LMPwas 13/04/2009. On the second day my doc placed me on clomid for 5days and timed my intercourse. It did work, on 16 may i took a home test which came out +ve. but on the 18th i started spoting(dirty brown) but no cramps. I had a blood test at my doc's and it was +ve. I have bn placed on progesterone supplement(duphaston and primolut inj. weekly) my u/s result showed dat my endometrial plate was thickened,my uterus enlarged but no sac seen yet. My concern is that i spotted for abt 5days though not heavy. What do you think pls? Thank you for your kindness.
