For those that will be invited for the aptitude & skill tests/interview, you all should expect this on your profile page in this order.

- Application Received
- Application Under review
- Application in Progress

Note: Application received or under review isn’t a guarantee that you will shortlisted or invited for the aptitude test/interview. Those that have their status “Application received” may also be invited. Your applications would be subjected to thorough screening by the recruitment team.

During your application, you were required to fill the form. When completed and submitted successfully, the system would scan the data provided by candidates and it would reject or accept the application automatically which depends on whether a candidate meets the minimum requirements or not.

If the application is successful, a confirmation mail would be sent to a candidate that met the. If it’s rejected by the machine, the candidate won’t receive a confirmation mail but a rejection mail the same day and status would change to application rejected or not considered.

Those that received the confirmation mail, succeeded in the first stage of screening.
The second stage of screening of would be done by a recruiter(human) as stated in your mails. The recruiter would review your resumes, cover letters and certificates against the questions answered on the application form.
If a candidates provides an answer that doesn’t correspond to what is stated on his/her resumes and certificates, the person would be disqualified and sent a rejection mail for example, on the application form, a candidate chose “yes” for possessing a 2:1 or higher but on his/her certificate or resume it stated a 2:2 or 3rd class. He/She would receive a rejection mail.

Also, the recruiter would check for a candidates date of birth, state of residence (Lagos & Awka Ibom residents will be highly considered), those that possess a higher degree, professional certifications or work experience would be highly considered etc. The moment a member of the recruitment team opens a candidate’s file, the application status would change to “Under Review”. It may not change for some if the system experienced a glitch. Keep checking your mails for invites and ignore the received or under review status.

If you have not received a rejection mail or have your application status change from received to application no longer considered, you are safe.

Application screening takes 3weeks from the date of publication before successful candidates receive invitations.

Please that your friend that got invite for GT, what's the content of the mail? Test or Interview? Thought invite mail should rolled out once.

Someone here said he applied early and his status has changed to under review. The pattern is not clear all.

By the way, has any Reservoir Engineer been contacted?

It simply means those whose status read under review are closer to being shortlisted than those whose status read application received. So those of with application received are just in limbo

Yes. The first set was auto. But for these recent ones, I doubt.

No I did not. But I know someone who did. He applied well after I applied.

You think these things are reviewed manually? most of the initial rejections are automated when one doesnt answer the questions to their expectation, things like date of birth, GPA, legal right to work and all that are put into consideration, then the system rejects based on that criteria initially

What about those who just got rejected today? Is it auto?

Same here. But mine is still showing application received and applied within the same period as you. But some persons who applied about 10 days after I did just got rejection mails. So I really wonder how they are attending to the applications

For the records, I believe in God and in Miracles.

That said, everything you mentioned e.g. carrying a baby to terms, not dying during gestation, viability of IVF babies, etc are scientific based and can be explained via science and mathematics.

Adding 1 + 1 and getting 2 is not a miracle; if you run out of gas and your car stop as a result; putting gas inside and it starts up again is not a miracle, throwing an object up and it comes down is not a miracle....These can be explained based on science and mathematics; just like IVF, carrying babies to terms, etc even for a lady in her menopause; so just like these are not miracles, IVF is not a miracle.

Thinking about it critically; since we ascribe all knowledge to God, the guy that invented/discovered combustion Engine, IVF or gravitational force, etc were the ones God used for the 'miracle' because they revealed or made possible what was not known to mankind prior. Subsequently going through IVF and giving birth to a baby is no more a miracle than throwing an object up and it coming down to earth.

God does not need human intervention for Him to perform His miracles....Sarah was barren and God manifested and she gave birth without human intervention, that was a miracle....Mary knew no man, she conceived as a virgin and gave birth without human intervention, that was a miracle. He is a jealous God and does not want to share His glory with any. When you start giving glory to Him, and then said she used IVF which alone can scientifically explain her pregnancy and birth...then you are attempting to share that glory between God and IVF. Same way, you can not lay your hand and pray over your paracetamol tablets, drink them and when your headache is cured, you praise God...if you want God to take the glory, dish the paracetamol, pray and believe Him for a miracle or healing....If you do not have that level of faith, then drink your paracetamol and thank God for giving the chemist that discovered paracetamol the know-how to do so.

My guy I don't subscribe to your line of reasoning. God can still carry out his miraculous deeds through a second entity. Remember the case of Moses? God did not part the red sea himself. He used Moses to do so. In fact Moses practically stretched out his stick under God's direction. Why didn't God do it Himself? Does the fact that did He not do it Himself not make it a miracle?

You may argue that in that case of Moses, it's obvious that God was directly involved. But you need to realise that God works on mysterious ways that we can't comprehend. He is a maneuverer of situations. We don't always know when He is involved. So many persons have done IVF but were not successful. Some persons have taken paracetamol because of a slight headache but died in the process. But what if a paracetamol that normally cures headache is about to take a person's life but does not do so as result of God's intervention, which was not obvious to you? Would you say it's not a miracle?

My point is, whether someone or something is involved in the success of an event, you just never can tell what God has done in the process. So always learn to give him the glory. That's why He is God

I did not receive any mail for application under review. I checked on my profile page for that. The mail, I received from them, was for application received.

Guy e be like say you be special candidate ooo. The mail everyone I know received after application says that their applications are under review. Besides, all their status are showing " Application Received ". But yours seems to be the reverse. You must be special indeed. This is wishing all of us success.

Exactly. He knows that Jorginho is not a physical player. He knows Jorginho does not know how to make tackles, yet he used him in that position when Kante is there. I don't like coaches that are hard and fast about their style of play. Why not change the game depending on your opponent? If he had played Kante in that DM position I don't think the humiliation would have been this much.

I did not send him any message. When he called, he asked me to send the message to him. So I was like, what do you mean? Don't you have the message in your phone? Then he begged that I should not use it. I said no problems, that I don't use what does not belong to me. Hope it's clear now.

They only just got to you. It’s not a new method, they’ve been using it for quite a while now. The scam itself is so lame: they send numbers claiming they mistakenly sent it & they ask you to send it back to them. Can you send the same text message back to someone that texted you? its such a really dumb tactic. Eventually they’d tell you to send some cash to appease some ‘demi gods’ for good fortune � for you. They almost scammed my friend. They might call you back? Just ignore and block them idle bastards!

Are you serious? The moment he asked if someone was there with me, I suspected them. However I doubt they will call back because the moment I said I don't do oracles, the speed with which he hung up was so alarming. Na bad market for them.

Just last week, I got a text message written in Yoruba language. The only thing I could decipher was the word 'card'. Of course there were numbers that looked like recharge card pins. I just ignored and deleted the message because I wasn't expecting any such thing from anyone.

Just about 10 minutes later, I got a call from someone asking me to send the message back to him and begging that I should not load the card, that it was intended for someone else. I said no problems.

Three days later, the guy called me and said his father wants to speak with me. I was like, for what? He said the father wants to thank me for the recharge card I did not use. I said, why would I use something that does not belong to me. But he said the father was itching to talk to me. So I agreed to speak with him.

When the father came on the phone, he started showering praises on me, in a tone of an elderly Yoruba man who was struggling to speak English. He said he is surprised that people like me are still in existence. Then he asked me my name and location, which I told him.

Lastly, he asked me where I work and I told him I was looking for a job. Then he started praying for me. However, the thing that he said that made feel that they are scammers was that, the baba asked if anyone was there with me. I said yes. He said he wants to consult an Oracle for me and nobody should be there with me. Immediately, I told him that I don't do oracles and I don't believe in them. And he hung up.

So my question is, are these new methods adopted by scammers? Has anyone here experienced similar stuff? Perhaps others can learn from this.

I wonder whether it's only indomie or bread and Lipton that Morata eats. He is to light and lazy for an attacker. Just imagine the way he falls easily to the ground with just little or no shoving. The coach using Morata today was the problem Chelsea had.

I wonder what you mean by 'impressive'. Is it with respect to the design? While it is not bad to make your CV impressive artistically, what's more important is the content of your CV. How well does the content suit the job requirements? I don't have an artististically impressive CV but I get called. So my advise is always tailor your CV to the job requirements. All the best.
