We are always quick to blame being “Nigerians” for everything, meanwhile in a functioning society, what the delivery person did would cost them their job.

If you have ever worked with data or managed personal information of others, you’d know that you are never to give out such without a clear authorization from the owner (not even your creator can authorize something on your behalf, unless you’re incapacitated and they are legally obligated to do so).

Quick question:
What if he wasn’t in good terms with his dad, and a delivery to them would count as a lost delivery? Is that the point you begin to agree that it was wrong of them to have signed off an undelivered package as delivered?

A message that your package has been delivered without any prior communication should always be a cause for alarm, no matter how many people claim to have witnessed otherwise. It is wrong and should not happen without your consent.

No be emotional thing. It’s just the right way to do things.

Nigerians generally are excitable and jump to conclusions too quickly. It's a major character fault in Nigeria.

I just left the Nipost office and couldn’t get my package.

They mentioned not having access to the internet to access the online files, but then directed me to the “Letter Office” where a staff helped look through the records manually and couldn’t find my tracking ID.

They collected my details, which included, my name, phone number, tracking ID, and delivery location, and mentioned that they’d be on a lookout for it, as it probably hasn’t left the Lagos office.

The staff were nice.

Yes, I got it 6 weeks later, but apparently it was produced 3 weeks after my capturing.

Yes! I collected and activated it on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Apparently it has an "issuance" date of November 23, 2023, which is exactly 3 weeks after my capture. I did my capturing on October 30, 2023.

PS. The collection/activation lasted less than 10 mins.

You have a passport already on government Data base, and it has expired and you are asking if you are to renew or do fresh passport.

It's a valid question regardless. Nigeria isn't exactly the best at keeping records, digital or otherwise.

If you have the correct information, please provide it; otherwise, simply scroll past it instead of making someone seem dumb. If they knew and were certain of the answer, they wouldn't ask it.
