OluwasolaDabora: The Chairman of the Integrity Group of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Comrade Dr Martin Nwachukwu Bolum, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu over rising petroleum prices, explaining that Nigeria’s crude oil industry operates within an international regulatory and commercial framework.
Speaking during a media chat in Asaba, Bolum said the country could not treat crude oil production and sales as purely domestic affairs because the industry was governed by international market conditions, contractual obligations and established regulations.
He argued that the challenges facing Nigeria’s petroleum sector required a broader understanding of how crude oil was produced, sold and supplied to refineries, both within the country and abroad.
According to him, the process involves more than drilling an oil well and selling whatever crude is extracted. Producers must comply with applicable regulations, meet commercial obligations and operate within an industry influenced by international prices and supply arrangements.
Bolum said these realities were important in understanding why Nigeria’s crude oil could not always be directed to domestic refineries without considering existing commercial commitments and the conditions governing its sale.
His comments come amid continuing public concern over petrol prices and the difficulties of translating Nigeria’s crude oil resources into affordable energy for its citizens.
The international oil market remains vulnerable to geopolitical tensions, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic shipping route through which a substantial share of the world’s oil supplies normally passes.
Disruptions in the region can affect shipping costs, insurance premiums and crude availability, with consequences for refiners and petroleum consumers worldwide.
The decisions of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, collectively known as OPEC+, also influence production levels and market expectations.
Bolum called for patience with the Tinubu administration as it works to improve domestic crude supply arrangements and strengthen the relationship between local production and refining.
He suggested that the country’s petroleum challenges should not be assessed solely by the amount of crude oil it produces, but also by the regulatory, commercial and logistical requirements involved in making that resource available to consumers.
The emergence of large-scale domestic refining offers Nigeria an opportunity to reduce its dependence on imported petroleum products. However, local refineries still require reliable crude supplies at commercially workable prices to operate sustainably.
The government’s challenge is therefore to balance export earnings, existing contractual commitments, domestic refinery requirements and the need to protect consumers from excessive energy costs.
Bolum’s intervention adds to the debate over how quickly Nigeria can secure greater benefits from its petroleum resources while navigating the pressures of the international energy market.
The former Delta State TUC chairman, urged Nigerians to allow the administration time to address the difficulties, arguing that a sustainable solution would require attention to the realities of crude production, international obligations and domestic supply.
Blue86: We can handle by ourselves without foreign inputs outbreaks and co. Remember Covid, when thousands were dying of Covid in the foreign world, here medical practitioners - thieves were pinning every death by natural causes as Covid.
And when they were busy scrapping for tissue abroad to make nose masks, [ which was very absurd and stupid for a supposed first world,] we were busy here making a trend of nose masks with diverse fashion designs.
A woman died of natural ailment or a failed operation, and the cause of death was ascribed to Covid; a falsified report to increase the number of Covid related cases.
When will you learn that the more you depend on foreign agencies to solve in house issues, you make yourselves weak, and give rooms to be easily plundered.
Can’t you see you don’t even have a say in matters that pertains yourselves anymore; though Africa is the food basket of the world?!
They create the disease, they create a cure that can never separate one from the disease so one depends on them for life. Power.
Mkokelvin: ADAPALM: INSIDE IMO STATE'S 4,310-HECTARE BLACK GOLD The Return of Nigeria's Forgotten Agro-Industrial Giant When Nigerians talk about oil, they think of crude. But before crude took over in the 1970s, there was another oil that funded the Eastern Region — palm oil. At the heart of that story is ADAPALM. What is Adapalm? Adapalm Nigeria Limited is one of Nigeria's largest oil palm plantations, located in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State. Covering an expansive 4,310 hectares, it was once a critical source of foreign exchange for Nigeria. It began in 1953 as the Ohaji Palm Settlement under Dr. Michael Okpara's government of Eastern Nigeria, designed to turn wild palm groves into a modern, industrial estate. How Big is It Really? To understand the scale: • 4,310 hectares = 43,100,000 sqm = 10,650 acres • That's over 71,000 standard plots (600sqm) of palm trees • In oil terms, the refinery now produces 150 tons of palm oil daily In the 2022/2023 season, Nigeria produced 1.4 million tons of palm oil, and Adapalm was a key contributor to that figure. How They Operate: From Seed to Oil Adapalm is not just a farm. It is a complete agro-industrial complex. This is how it works: 1. Nursery and Breeding High-yield Tenera seedlings are raised in the central nursery for 12-14 months. Only the strongest are transplanted to the field. One hectare takes about 143 seedlings. 2. Plantation Management The 4,310 hectares are divided into blocks separated by estate roads. Each block has a 25-30 year cycle. Teams handle: • Ring weeding and slashing • Fertilizer application • Pruning and pest control • Harvesting every 10-14 days 3. Harvesting Bunches are cut using hooked knives and transported by trucks and tractors to the mill. A good bunch weighs 15-25kg. 4. Milling and Processing This is the heart of Adapalm. At the Adapalm Mill: • Sterilization: Bunches are cooked with steam to stop oil breakdown • Threshing: Fruits are separated from bunches • Digestion & Pressing: The fruits are pressed to extract crude palm oil • Clarification: Oil is purified, dried and stored in large white storage tanks • By-products: Palm kernel, fibre, and empty bunches are used for kernel oil, animal feed, and fuel 5. Storage and Marketing The oil is stored and sold in bulk to industrial buyers, distributors, and retailers across Imo, Rivers, and beyond. The Fall and Revival Like many government-owned estates, Adapalm suffered decades of neglect, underfunding, and management crises. Bush took over, production dropped, and reptiles took over parts of the compound. The turning point came when the Imo State government began discussions with the Central Bank of Nigeria for a N52 billion loan to revamp the estate, aligning with CBN's 2019 policy to restrict forex for palm oil importation to boost local production. Today, under its General Manager Dr. Goddy Esom Obodo, the refinery is back, producing 150 tons daily and creating direct and indirect jobs for youths in Ohaji-Egbema. Governor Hope Uzodimma has described it as central to reviving Nigeria's palm oil industry. Why It Matters Nigeria spends over $500 million annually importing palm oil. If Adapalm operates at full capacity: • It retains foreign exchange • It creates over 5,000 jobs • It powers related industries: soap, cosmetics, vegetable oil, biodiesel • It puts Imo back on the global palm oil map Adapalm is more than a plantation. It is proof that Nigeria can feed itself and industrialize from agriculture again. From Port Harcourt to Ohaji is less than 90 minutes. The black gold is flowing again.

Before oil there was oil, after oil there'll be oil. Oil can never finish in the land of oil, for it's a land flowing with milk and honey.
My friend said it took him 6 months to learn how to cook
It has only been 2 months for me
It's not like I am 9 years old, I am 37 years old When your 9 , your mum will tell you to practice. .me I don't get to practice
My mental health does not make things easier I find it hard to stand still and concentrate most of the time
well in that case you have to mend your concentration issue first or you can't learn anything. Get coconut (young coconut) water, make it your second water. Begin to eat walnut regularly. Stop taking any intoxicating substance, if you do.

And after Malachi you do not see any Israelite with more than 1 wife.. Hehehe prophet Monogamy
This is departing from the topic but let me remind you that Ezra shows what happened when they did this. And when that happened, see what Ezra did
Ezra 10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the Law.
So, you see, they understood what God wanted and where they were in breach, they returned back to what they knew God Commanded and what He desired which is monogamy

Dtruthspeaker: Who shall be a king of Israel or from whom shall God choose a king of Israel? Answer: Any Israelite man.
And secondly by Malachi and after do you see any Israelite with 2 wives?
No! Clear proof that they understood that God told them to stop polygamy
And before Malachi Ezra seeing the disobedience of this Law commanded
Ezra 10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law
So, you see, why it is right for co-adulteresses and their batsard children to be cast out like Haggai and Ishmael. God does not like unlawfulness. Which by Malachi, polygamy was not seen in Israel again. God had completely eradicated it.
* Excessive gold and silver law is The Law prohibiting a king from embezzlement of the common wealth exactly what everyone complains against their presidents and rulers. So you see, The Law covers the wrongs and evils a king can do while in position.
Teymanhenry: Where in Malachi did God explicitly command that no Israelite should marry more than one wife? Quote the verse.
If polygamy was a sin, why did God regulate it without explicitly prohibiting it?
God also warned the Israelites against marrying foreign women (Deuteronomy 7:3–4). Does that mean marrying someone from another country or ethnic group is sinful today?
If we recognise that some commands had specific historical contexts, why can't we apply the same principle when discussing polygamy? Let's interpret Scripture consistently, not selectively.
Teymanhenry: The verse says a king shall not multiply wives, because they may turn his heart away from God. Another version says he shall not take many wives. The point is a warning against having too many wives. But does having two wives automatically mean someone has sinned?
The verse does not explicitly say that having two wives is sinful. It warns about the potential consequences of having many wives and how they could lead someone astray.
Now, let’s look at the same passage. It also warns against accumulating excessive gold and silver. So, does that mean all our General Overseers who have accumulated wealth are sinners too? And also noted that, the command/counsel is for future King of Israel

Remi had to slide him a drug to keep him agai during the Kaduna rally.
fattprince: You are almost absolutely right about me. Where we wouldn't agree is where you said if I don't belief in the red sea being parted then I'm an atheist. Because a Buddhist is still a theist but they don't believe in the red sea being parted. What I'm saying is that all Christians are Theists but not all Theists are Christians. I don't think Muslims believe in Moses parted the red sea or some of the tales in the bible but they are still theist. But personally, I don't believe in the bible, and like you said as a humanist, I belief we are God (noticed I didn't say gods) but it's the summation of all living and even non living things, also physical and non physical (which i believe is spiritual, e.g radio wave, logic etc that we can't see, feel, hear, touch or taste are spiritual personal opinion though) are all God. I believe in God absolutely, so I say am a theist, because there is intelligent designer behind this universe, a Creator, God. But I also believe no matter what we can't fully know God, because we ultimately(unlimitedly) limited to know him. E.g can you know every individual in this world or see every objects or beaches or mountains or water in all the oceans? No. But you can at least know some people personally, I mean really know them deeply ( relatives, neighbours, friends etc). So same with God, because God is nowhere and everywhere, God is nearer to you than your nose and still farther to you than the end of the world. God is nothing(like the air we breath and wind etc) and still everything (the universe). I can go more deeply and still not scratch the surface of the knowledge of God. Like as God is the summation of all humanity, so to have the knowledge of God, we must have the knowledge of all, both the most foolish and the wisest, most ignorant and the most knowledge which is impossible to achieve. I may be practicing a form of theism, but I don't believe in the bible or quran, I believe in nature. Like God( I don't want to use any pronouns reason why I repeatedly use God)is communicating to us through nature.
When I cited the Red sea story I expected you to understand that it was a metaphorical example. Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, even ATR all have their supernatural stories, I only used the christian story to represent all the theist category for you to be able to see the point which is it's either you believe in the supernatural (God, and every other thing/being that comes with it) or you don't. If you do, that means you will also have to believe in supernatural presence/events in human affairs just like the Red sea story I used whether you know the supernatural being/s or not. And that makes you Theist. Any other belief besides that is Atheism, even if you like believe in God and not believe in supernatural occurrences like the Red sea story, you are an Atheist for you can't separate the one from the other because belief in the supernatural and all that belong there is a matter of FAITH not KNOWLEDGE which leads to DOUBT, for the supernatural is a realm, it's an experience, just like the natural and the laws that apply there are not the same laws that apply here for that realm is invisible to nature until your eyes are open to it, and what opens your eyes to it is not KNOWLEDGE but FAITH. This is why you see for example, a christian who has not seen GOD will boldly and confidently tell you that there's A GOD because that person has experienced the other realm one way or the other. And besides, one does not even need to experience the other realm to believe there's GOD, even nature is a witness. No one who truly observes nature can deny the existence of a supernatural intelligent being who designed all that exists as seen in the visible. So if you say you believe in GOD believe also in HIS works because they are the proof of HIS existence to the visible realm (you don't need to know HIM personally but if you wish to, HE can also reveal HIMSELF to you), which makes you Theist. And you if you say you don't, then you are Atheist. Simple.
