If you know you can predict with 97 to 100 percentage accuracy, no matter the odd(whether small or big odds), so far you are confident about it then you are welcome here. Let us come together and face this, as one.
Here we will be analysing and selecting tendered options, which will be promoted based on percentage of accuracy probability.
For example if one of us drops an option like DORTMUND 2x, should be in the collective best interest to analyse and vet the above option to verify its accuracy probability which after having undergone due deliberation by the house, will be subject to an accuracy probability percent rating. This will determine whether the said pick is strong enough to make it to the slip or not.
The aim of this idea is to bring together the brightest punters, create a Unified Accurate Punting Front, increase the green outcomes, and bring hope to those who have financial challenges
EducationRe: The Plea Of University Lecturers To Teachers In Secondary Schools!!! by itzadorable333: 12:47am On May 01, 2024
seguntijan:
Dear secondary school teachers and school owners, please, help the students and the public by ensuring that students in your school write examinations by themselves and merit the grades they brandish on their SSCE results.

We are tired of seeing students with A1 in Mathematics but cannot resolve the smallest of fractions. A student with distinctions in Physics and chemistry but knows next to nothing about chemical reactions or energy conversion. Students with distinctions in Literature, Government, and CRS, yet blank on the differences between Drama and Prose Fiction, the forms of Government, and the significance of Religious stories.

I had to ask some year 1 students to look for a tutorial teacher to help them with JS 3 and SS1 mathematics recently. The whole 16 of them in my Engineering class with excellent SSCE results are visibly confused at the sight of any arithmetic work. Their last semester's performance betrayed the several A1s and B3s on the WAEC they carry about.

These students you help acquire grades they can't defend are usually frustrated in the ivory tower. Save them a voyage of pain and regrets in the future by ensuring they are well tutored and allowed to prepare and write their examinations unaided.

Write out your birthday in digits and then add them all up.
For example, if your birthday is November 2, 1998, or 11/2/1998, you would add 1+1+2+1+9+9+8 = 31.
Then keep adding until you get a single digit: In this case, 3+1 = a life-path number of 4.

PoliticsRe: INTERPOL Says It's Not Involved In Rendition Of IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu by itzadorable333: 1:40pm On Apr 30, 2024
Icceyfrosh12:
The Vice President of INTERPOL Africa, Garba Umar made the denial while speaking in an interview on News Central TV.

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) has denied involvement in the rendition of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya in 2021.

The Vice President of INTERPOL Africa, Garba Umar made the denial while speaking in an interview on News Central TV.

The former President Muhammadu Buhari-led Nigerian government had in June 2021 announced the arrest of Kanu in Kenya through the help of INTERPOL.

A top source confirmed that “He (Kanu) was not arrested in London or anywhere in the United Kingdom. Diplomats confirmed that Kanu was picked up somewhere in Africa. The family and IPOB are very unhappy. Apparently, they have known about the trailing and arrest for some time,”

Confronted with how early INTERPOL arrested Kanu in Kenya, Umar said, “Believe you me, I want to tell you I don’t know what you are talking about. You are bringing an issue that INTERPOL is not aware of.

“INTERPOL is an international police organisation that assists law enforcement agencies within the 196 countries to look for a fugitive that runs or is hiding.

“If you look at all the other fugitives that have been brought to face justice in Nigeria, they have the link of those who were involved in the INTERPOL.

“I don’t know and I don’t want to talk about the issue of Kanu or who brought him back to Nigeria. I’m not aware how he was brought back to Nigeria or how he came back to Nigeria. INTERPOL is not aware of this. We stated this long time ago and we made it categorically clear.”

Speaking further, Umar said that “There are what we call police to police relationship, international police cooperation, and it does not necessarily bring INTERPOL. If one police and another exchange that a suspect is running from them, they can have an international police cooperation that is out of the scope of INTERPOL.

“However, if a notice is given to an individual like Blue Notices when the inmates in Kuje Prison escaped, we did a biometric capture of those suspects and we shared it with the international community and we shared it with our law enforcement agencies and many of them were re-apprehended because we have their biometrics.

“In the issue of Red Notice, where a Red Notice is issued under the federal court that issued that notice of arrest, that is warrant of arrest for such international, it will go to the INTERPOL and we will process it and look at the charges and then issue a Red Notice. On that Red Notice, we will bring back the suspect to face justice because all the 196 countries will be looking for that individual.”

What do you have to say about this?
Lol if this news is true, I mean Umar Garba or whatever his name is has just given himself(and his 'INTERPOL') away with his statements.

speak for yourself, last time I checked there was a recently-concluded election with a majority mandate, a president-elect and a current administration; all as a result of the choice of the people. Nairaland GeneralNigeria's Economic Situation. Way Out. by itzadorable333(op):
Nigeria's current Economic situation is the result of the choice of the people. So it is hard to understand why the same people are complaining, or can someone eat their cake and have it? Can someone make a choice and complain about the result of the choice they themselves made?
What the Nigeria people chose is what they have got. Nigeria's Economic predicament is a Creation of the choice of the people. So stop complaining and enjoy your mandate with gusto and all good pleasure. After all, no one forced you to choose neither did anyone make the choice for you. It is the food you prepared for yourself, with your own hand so what is the problem with you?
Well, there is no law written that says WHAT IS DONE CANNOT BE UNDONE.
It's just that I believe the people of Nigeria are not yet ready to do what is Necessary.
So when you people are ready, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. FOR AS NO ONE TOLD YOU TO DO THE ONE YOU DID, AS NO ONE TOLD YOU TO MAKE THE CHOICE YOU MADE SO NO ONE CAN TELL YOU TO UNMAKE OR UNDO WHAT YOU DID, NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.
NIGERIA WHEN YOU ARE READY, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.
TILL THEN, ENJOY YOUR DELICACY.

Kidnappers threatening to kill Ekiti schoolchildren – Parents
2nd February 2024

Dayo Oyewo and Abiodun Nejo
Kindly share this story:

The kidnappers of five pupils and four staff members of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure Ekiti, are threatening to kill their victims should the parents fail to pay ransom on them as quickly as possible.

The families of the kidnapped disclosed to The PUNCH on Thursday, that the abductors had reduced the ransom to N15m.

This was as the police said they had arrested 13 suspected in connection with the Monday killing of two Ekiti monarchs-the Onimojo of Imojo, Oba Olatunde Olusola and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, by suspected kidnappers.

Gunmen operating on the Emure-Ekiti — Iporo Ekiti road attacked a bus conveying over 25 pupils of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure Ekiti, after closing hours.

Relatives of the victims in separate telephone interviews with one of our correspondents, said the kidnappers who initially demanded N100m, reduced it to N15m after negotiations with the families.

The families, however, said the abductors insisted on the prompt payment of the reduced ransom warning that the kidnapped children were becoming weak.

According to them, they also threatened to kill the victims, if the relatives failed to pay the ransom.

Kidnappers’ ransom

The Principal of the secondary section of the school, Boje Olanireti, had on Tuesday told The PUNCH that although there were over 25 pupils in the bus, five were taken away with four staff members.

The schoolchildren were abducted on the same day gunmen killed two Ekiti monarchs-the Onimojo of Imojo, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, while the Alara of Ara Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, narrowly escaped.

In an interview with The PUNCH on Thursday, Pastor Clement Adebisi, whose wife, Mary, was among the kidnapped staff members, said the kidnappers told them to get the money on time while revealing that the children were already getting weak.

He said his wife was on the bus with his three children but the kidnappers took the woman away and left the children.

Adebisi stated, “We just spoke with them two hours ago and they concluded that we should pay N15m. They told us that the children were already getting weak and we should find the money on time and come and take them out of their place. “

“One of my children who tried to follow her mother was beaten and thrown into the bush. It was the eldest sister that went to carry her. She even fainted twice when they got home,” he added.

Another parent, Adebisi Jegede, whose wife, Esther, and daughter Ogoolami, are among the victims, said the abductors threatened to kill their victims.

He said, “My wife is a teacher and I was the first person they called and that was the second day around 2pm. When they first called me, they said we should bring N10m each to secure their release.

‘’When they called me the second time, they started to beat my wife and the children and kept asking for money. They threatened to kill them if we did not pay the money.”

Also, Oluwadare Oniya, the father of nine-year-old Peace who is among the victims, said the kidnappers were initially offered N500,000 but they got angry and rejected it.

Also, a source, who said that about N3m had been raised so far towards the release of the kidnapped persons, said, “The gunmen are threatening that they would kill the victims if the money is not paid on time. They have asked us to bring N15m for the kidnapped persons.

“What we need now is money to secure the release of our children and wives because we just had a conversation with the kidnappers. Today, they called four to five times. They said the ransom is now 15m.”

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, said on Thursday , said that police had arrested eight more suspects in the forests in the state in connection with the killing of two Ekiti obas.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Suffering, Address Economic Pains – Musician, K1 Tells Tinubu by itzadorable333: 8:00pm On Feb 03, 2024
malali:
[b]Tinubu and APC, wake up and act now
These currency saboteurs are the same people surrounding you.
You are already slowly losing the court of public opinion.
This is how Zimbabwe, Argentina started.

Addressing Naira devaluation against the dollar requires a multifaceted approach involving monetary policy, fiscal policy, structural reforms, and measures to enhance productivity and competitiveness. Here are some practical and detailed solutions:

1. **Monetary Policy Measures**:
- **Maintain Price Stability**: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should prioritize price stability by implementing effective monetary policy tools such as interest rate adjustments and open market operations to control inflation.
- **Foreign Exchange Management**: CBN should adopt a flexible exchange rate regime that allows the Naira to find its equilibrium value based on market forces while intervening in the foreign exchange market to smoothen volatility and prevent speculative attacks.
- **Foreign Reserves Management**: CBN should actively manage foreign reserves to ensure an adequate level of reserves to defend the currency and provide confidence to investors.

2. **Fiscal Policy Measures**:
- **Fiscal Discipline**: The government should pursue fiscal discipline by reducing budget deficits and controlling government spending to prevent excessive money supply growth, which can lead to currency devaluation.
- **Diversification of Revenue**: Nigeria should diversify its revenue sources away from oil dependency by broadening the tax base, improving tax compliance, and increasing non-oil revenue through sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and services.
- **Public Debt Management**: The government should manage public debt prudently to avoid excessive borrowing in foreign currencies, which can exacerbate currency depreciation risks.

3. **Structural Reforms**:
- **Enhance Export Competitiveness**: Implement policies and initiatives to promote exports diversification and enhance competitiveness in non-oil sectors. This may include providing export incentives, improving trade facilitation, and investing in infrastructure and technology.
- **Import Substitution**: Encourage domestic production of goods that can be substituted for imports, thereby reducing reliance on foreign goods and conserving foreign exchange reserves.
- **Improving Business Environment**: Streamline regulations, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and improve ease of doing business to attract foreign investment and stimulate economic growth.

4. **Productivity and Competitiveness Enhancement**:
- **Investment in Infrastructure**: Upgrade infrastructure such as transportation, energy, and telecommunications to reduce production costs, improve efficiency, and attract investment.
- **Skills Development**: Invest in education and vocational training to enhance the skills of the workforce, increase productivity, and support economic diversification.
- **Technology Adoption**: Encourage technology adoption and innovation across industries to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness on the global stage.

5. **Promoting Confidence and Stability**:
- **Communication and Transparency**: CBN and government officials should communicate monetary and fiscal policies transparently to provide clarity and reduce uncertainty in the market.
- **Political Stability**: Ensure political stability and good governance to build investor confidence and attract foreign investment inflows, which can support currency stability.

6. **Regional and International Cooperation**:
- **Bilateral Agreements**: Strengthen bilateral trade agreements with key trading partners to facilitate trade and investment flows, reduce trade barriers, and promote economic cooperation.
- **Regional Integration**: Participate actively in regional economic blocs such as ECOWAS and leverage regional cooperation to enhance trade, investment, and economic integration.

Implementing these solutions will require strong political will, coordination among government agencies, collaboration with the private sector, and engagement with international partners. Additionally, these measures should be implemented gradually and carefully to minimize potential disruptions to the economy while achieving sustainable currency stability and economic growth.
Ramp up production.
Food security, we import too much wheat, we should be able to feed ourselves with only locally grown materials, and export excess.

Tax the rich .

Assemble and sell cars in Nigeria @ reduced prices.

Explore other commodities e.g precious metals exploration.

Sell the port harcourt refinery to Nigerians, float it as a public listed stock, can only be purchased with earned income (not a wealth stash) so that the common man can have a piece of the PIE, the government owns the controlling stock till the citizens eventually buy up the stakes.

Set up a sovereign wealth fund, and let them start slowly monetizing and assisting businesses with "export" potentials. Any business that has export potential should be given national assistance in its early stages. This overseers will serve as blackrock or vanguard. E.g If there is a thriving rice mill in kebbi, a team of experts are sent to inspect and liaise with the biggest rice mills in the world to see how to scale production, and the trade ministers liaises with other African countries that import rice to offer them good deals.

Trade minister set up a commodities board, Lease lands to Chinese farmers, if local farmers dont have the zeal or interest for commercial farming.

Faiththatworks:
I have been asking this question since last week, and I really need some Intelligent Nigerians to please educate me.
What's causing the downward spiral of the Naira to the Dollar, Can the CBN and the Banks please release the industries where the dollar demand is coming from.
I can say for a fact that NNPCL already told us petrol is no longer subsided, all diesel and Aviation fuel importers have given them selves some sense and have totally reduced their importation because of the Dangote Refinery.
Even Manufactures have reduced importation of essential raw materials, from Drugs to household essentials, everyone is cutting back on importation cos of the high Usd,so what's causing the spike in Demand.
My economic theory is very simple and I hope I get some Intelligent rebuttals, anyone buying Usd this high at 1$ to 1400,will never make a profit on whatever they import.
No right thinking importer will do business at such a ridiculous rate and still expect to make a profit,so who's buying this Usd.
I daresay this spiral is just open ended round tripping, the banks and the bureau are really the ones buying and selling this Usd,they create an artificial supply and demand bogus economy just to milk the Nigerian economy.
EFCC,NSA,ICPC should categorize these people as Economic Terriorist and treat them as such.
God bless Nigeria.
pls when you mention EFCC, NSA etc do you mean the banks' and the bureaux' contracted security syndicate, setup to protect their interests using the full backing of the laws which have also been laid down to back up the blood-curdling nefariety perpetrated by the oligarchic hegemony at the top? Or are you referring to some other Legit crime-fighting authority? Thank you.
