Eden Hazard has revealed that he wants to work under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho again.

Hazard played for the Portuguese for two years at Chelsea, between 2013 and 2015, before Mourinho was sacked.

Nevertheless, he won the Premier League title and the League Cup in his second spell at Stamford Bridge, with Hazard a key member of the title-winning side, scoring 14 league goals and providing 10 assists.

A poor second season led to Mourinho's sacking, however, with his Belgian star struggling for form - he scored just four goals in the league.

Mourinho is again under the microscope, this time at Manchester United, with the club already seven points behind the Blues and Manchester City.

Hazard, though, maintains that he regrets how their professional ties ended, and would like to play for him again.

“The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore. We didn’t win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end," he told Belgian newspaper HLN.

"If I’m now asked one coach with whom I want to work again, then I say: Mourinho.”


Hazard admits that Mourinho can lash out at his players if results begin to slide, and he believes there is one easy way to get him on side: by winning.

“If the results are poor, he starts criticising his players – you know that, but afterwards I’ve been able to accept that, it’s part of his character," he added.

“If you win, Mourinho is the best coach you can imagine. Then he is a friend of yours – you can do whatever you want. Want one day off? He gives you two. If everything goes well, Mourinho will experience football like me: with ease. Even his own image of an extremely defensive coach was not too bad. He is far from adventurous like [Pep] Guardiola, but the year in which we became champions, we scored a lot of goals and played good games.

“I do not regret many things in my career, but that I have not been able to work with Mourinho at Chelsea anymore [is one]. We had a team to get a lot of prizes, but we just ended up in a negative spiral.”

During Mourinho's final months at Chelsea, Hazard's form was held up as emblematic that he struggles to bring the best out of players who are creative, but the Belgian has taken responsibility for his own shortcomings.

“In those twelve years of professional career, I have had one bad year – the last six months under Mourinho, and it was partly my own fault," he said.

"After the title, we had asked Mourinho for extra holidays. I was totally out of shape at the start of the season, I remembered that lesson this summer – four weeks after the World Cup I was back in training at Chelsea.”

Eden Hazard has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September after scoring five goals in four matches as Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party to be diplomatic in their reaction to the decision of Senator Iyiola Omisore to support the All Progressives Congress, APC in Thursday’s governorship rerun in Osun State.

Omisore had on Thursday announced his decision to pitch his tent with the APC after consultations with his party members which stirred backlash from some PDP Chieftains.

PDP Chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode on his part described Omisore’s decision as shameful, adding that his decision might deprive Ile-Ife indigenes of producing a Deputy Governor.

But reacting, Omokri urged leaders of PDP not to throw insults at Omisore, but to appeal to him.

The former presidential spokesman, therefore, called on those insulting Omisore to withdraw same.

Omokri tweeted: “Rather than PDP chieftains insulting Omisore for supporting APC, what we should do is appeal to him.

The Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation has listed conditions for accepting the rerun of the Pain State governorship election scheduled for Thursday (Today.)

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the Osun state election as inconclusive.

In a statement signed by Mr. Olawale Rasheed, the Director, Media & Publicity on Wednesday, the organisation declared that the voting will only be acceptable if the following conditions are met:

“Card reader must work and there will be no election without card reader;

“We will not accept usage of incident forms;card reader must work for any election to hold;

“International observers must be allowed in all the seven polling units ;

“Votes buying that is ongoing now should stop now and tomorrow.

“Ongoing arrests and intimidation of PDP leaders should stop.

“INEC should stop unholy,ongoing meetings with Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

“Access codes to Voters register already given to APC members in Orolu rural areas should be withdrawn.

“INEC should stop colluding with APC and be truly transparent and unbiased.

“Security agencies should not serve partisan interest of APC. They should simply maintain law and order.”

Teneo Intelligence, a New York-based analysis firm, has said President Muhammadu Buhari could lose the 2019 election.

The firm based its prediction on the outcome of the inconclusive Osun state governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will on Thursday conduct supplementary election in four local governments of Osun State.

INEC had on Sunday announced results of the governorship election, with candidate of PDP, Ademola Adeleke, leading with 254,698 votes while APC candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, polled 254,345.

In a report obtained by Bloomberg, the intelligence firm said if the opposition manages to unite, February election would be a tough one for the ruling APC.

“There is already a clear message sent from Osun State: provided the PDP remains united, and the vote is reasonably free and fair, Buhari and his APC are likely to lose the general election,” Malte Liewerscheidt, an analyst at Teneo, said.

HSBC Bank, a global financial organisation, had earlier predicted that Buhari may lose next year and that Nigeria’s economy will take a downturn if he wins in 2019.

In its report titled: “Nigeria: Papering Over The Cracks”, HSBC said, “A second term for Mr Buhari however raises the risk of limited economic progress and further fiscal deterioration, prolonging the stagnation of his first term, particularly if there is no move towards completing reform of the exchange rate system or fiscal adjustments that diversify government revenues away from oil.

“In the near term, however, the election impact is likely to be negative as increased political uncertainty precludes policy reforms, weighs on confidence, deters investment spending and restrains the growth outlook.”

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on security agencies as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be at alert during tomorrow’s re-run election in Osun State as there are plots to rig the election.

In a statement signed by the South West Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Ayo Fadaka and made available to Dailypost, it was alleged that the APC is set to compromise the re-run election as the party has perfected plans of hijacking ballot boxes across the affected units where elections will be conducted.

The party emphasised that it will resist all forms of intimidation during the rescheduled poll, calling on INEC not to hesitate to cancel the results of units where electoral malpractices occur.

“We want to bring to the notice of the Police and other security agencies that plans are already concluded to hijack ballot boxes on the election day, the details of this plan is that bands of thugs will hijack ballot boxes and they will be chased by fake security officers decked in the uniform of a marginal security agency who will pursue the said criminals and recover the supposed box from them, fact, of course, will be that the box would have been replaced in the process.

“We equally request the Police and other security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities and arrest all thugs that sail unchallenged in the streets of Osogbo particularly and Osun State in general.

“Our agents and the entire people must not allow the ballot box to be snatched by anyone, and if any box has been snatched at all, such votes must be cancelled.

The statement further reads: “The APC has been prosecuting a series of violence, thuggery and sinister plots in its desperation to compromise the runoff elections in Osun State slated for Thursday this week.

“Towards this end, it has assaulted a number of our members and inflicted bodily harm on them, this attitude is not only barbaric but a manifestation of its desperation to win the election by hook or crook.

“We, therefore, wish to warn that the fact that we have remained civil so far amid these spell of nefarious activities is not a sign of weakness, it ‘s only driven by our commitment to the good of the State and wellbeing of the citizenry. We, however, wish to warn that our civility should not be mistaken for weakness.

“The party agents must also demand that the Card Readers be proven to be blank of accreditation before commencement of voting on election day. Information at our disposal indicates that they plan to use already preloaded Card Readers.

“We also wish to remind INEC that it owes this nation a responsibility to be fair and careful in the manner it handles elections. It is bad for the system when people lose confidence in its capability to be fair and just in the conduct of elections, such situation is a recipe for the wholesale crisis in our nation.

Monday's The Best gala in London will not play host to Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi as FIFA crown the best player of the 2017/18 season.

Prophet Udensi Godlove of Land of Oil Prophetic Ministry (AKA Hill of the Lord), Lagos has predicted the outcome of the 2019 general elections.

No, God is not an author of confusion. Some people prophesy out of sentiments so they tend to speak towards the direction of that person. Bet when God speaks, it must come to pass. When you see a conflicting interest, it is not that God is divided, those behind the prophecies did that behind their selfish motives and what they stand to gain. This is why there is conflict of interest.”

On what Nigerians should expect in the 2019 general, Udensi said, “2019 is going to be very interesting. By the Grace of God I have watched the election twice, the election day, after the election and the result of the election.

“You know in 2015, there was a lot of tension before the main elections; it was as if Nigeria was going to break, in fact, there will be tension everywhere but along the line, the storm will just disappear.

“There is something you have to learn about Nigeria, they can shout but are afraid to die.

“I see some few candidates coming up, by the end peace will reign. There would be cold war, but there won’t be battle. There is no cause for alarm.”

Asked if power would change hand, he said, “Power changing hand? No, power will only change hand if the president decides to withdraw his candidacy from the race; apart from that, I don’t see any power changing hand.”

The police in Imo on Friday arrested some women protesting over the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for allegedly conducting an unlawful assembly.

Some of the women, mostly of middle age and from the Southeast states, were half nude, while others dressed in black and marched through the streets of Owerri.

NAN reports that the demonstrators disrupted vehicular movement as they chanted war songs and displayed different placards with inscriptions asking the Federal Government to release Kanu.

The women claimed that the security agencies knew the whereabouts of Kanu who has been out of public view since he had an encounter with the military in Umuahia about one year ago.

They asked Govenor Rochas Okorocha to help them actualise their dream of a getting Biafra.

The women later barricaded the popular Government House Roundabout and created a chaotic atmosphere around the area.

One of their leaders, Mrs Ann Ibe, told NAN that they came out in full force to fight for the actualization their dream and were ready to die for the cause.

When a special team of police men sent by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Dasuki Galadanchi, arrived at the scene, the protesters broke into a dance.

Some of them pulled off their clothes and danced naked, while others lay on the ground and dared the police.

The police succeeded in arresting some of the protesters after in spite of their offering serious resistance.

Commenting on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Andrew Enwerem, said the women were arrested for conducting an illegal assembly and holding an unlawful protest.

There was tension at the National Assembly on Wednesday as people were seen in groups discussing the likelihood of forceful impeachment of the House Speaker, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

According to a Dailypost correspondent, who monitored developments on Wednesday, saw people including about 15 newly defected House of Representatives members gathered at the lobby of the National Assembly discussing the issue.

The development followed unconfirmed reports that some members of the House of Representatives loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari were, as at press time, meeting at the Presidential Villa deliberating on the way forward over the gale of defections.

Sources also had it that the members were considering moving into the House for impeachment of the Speaker despite ongoing recess of federal lawmakers.

Meanwhile, the gathering of the House members suddenly became the cynosure of everyone around the White House lobby, a situation that prompted Dailypost’s inquiry.

Attempts to speak with Hon. Benjamin Ikani Okolo representing Dekina/Bassa federal constituency, one of those seen at the lobby, did not yield result as he declined to comment.

However, a principal staff of the Sergeant-at-Arms, who spoke with Dailypost under anonymity, posited that the plot might have been prompted by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s defection yesterday, adding that it was a signal of the House Speaker’s defection.

Speaking on the possibility of some elements taking action against the House Speaker while lawmakers are on recess, he explained that “anything was possible”, adding that they, the security outfit, was ready for any eventuality.

Members of the House of Representatives loyal to President Buhari believe that the Speaker, who was yet to make his defection known, was no longer with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

We are only advising the government that human rights must be respected; that there should be justice to all; that there should be fairness; and that there should be equal opportunity for everyone in Nigeria.

If we do that, Nigerians do not care whether you come from North or South. If you do that, Nigerians do not care where their president comes from. What Nigerians want is an environment where everybody can thrive. For the Igbos especially, who are egalitarian, who move about everywhere, what they want is an atmosphere where they can live in Kano, Kaduna, Maiduguri, and Sagamu and do their business and be sure that no one would destroy their property or their lives.

We believe that the people of Nigeria need to come together so that we enthrone order where these expectations will be met. That is what we call restructuring. We need to come back to the basic tenets of federalism, democracy and freedom that our fathers agreed on as the basic principles of government.

Unfortunately, those of us, who are asking that the correct thing be done, are being hounded by the government. So, that is where we have the tragedy of the whole situation.

Government must be open to advice and suggestions and must be able to dialogue. Instruments of democracy is dialogue and not force. Those who are advising the government must realise that this is a free society.

Nigerians are entitled to their rights, their freedoms, they are entitled to the principles of democracy. There is no way you can continue to harass and chase and institution of government and expect peace to thrive. That is not possible. Or if you are ensuring that any part of Nigeria is cut off from government, we will have problem.

These are little things that can be fixed. All we are asking for is for an opportunity for all of us to sit down and ask how Nigeria can be fixed. Don’t be afraid for me. I am 56 years old now. I have taken more than average life expectancy in Nigeria. I know it is not over, but I am psychologically ready to go through this trauma. I refuse to be intimidated.

I am going to do the work for which you elected me. All I am saying is that there is no need overheating the system just because you want to bring down a system or bring down an institution or you want to bring down certain people in government.

These should not be our worry because there are more challenges in the North East, in the North Central, and even in North West where people are killed everyday in Zamfara State and it appears nobody is worried. ENUGU- IGBO Leaders of Thought, ILT, an umbrella of Igbo statesmen intelligentsia lead by Professor Ben Nwabueze, has told whoever is planning Presidency for Ndigbo in 2023 that Igbo Presidency is no longer on the cards of the nationality.

They rather said that what would be more beneficial to Ndigbo and indeed the entire Nigerians is a restructured country, where Presidency would become less attractive and no longer an instrument for ethnic jingoism. The group also warned that the country is close to being equated with a failed state given the level of insecurity with attendant killings across states.

Following the massive defection that struck All Progressives Congress, (APC) this week, intandem with the statement credited to the minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi wherein Amaechi said that noting would prevent President Muhammadu Buhari from winning the forthcoming 2019 general election, Rabiu Kwankwaso the former governor of Kano state on Saturday replied Amaechi.

Coordinator of the Kwara State Chapter of Buhari Support Group, Mashood Bakare, has formally resigned his appointment, ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Bakare, who represents Omupo Constituency in the state assembly, announced his resignation on Thursday, at the floor of the House.

According to Daily Nigerian, Bakare, while explaining the decision, said his resignation was based on personal reasons.

He said he was no longer willing to be part of the organisation which he had been with since 2014.

The lawmaker, however, assured that he would continue to be sensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of his people.

Reacting, the Speaker, Ali Ahmad, inquired if the decision to relinquish his post was willingly taken, and he answered in the affirmative.

The Kwara governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed had hinted that he and other top members of the state chapter, including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, will soon dump the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He spoke in Ilorin, the state capital, during a meeting with youths, traders, local government chairmen among others.

Ahmed lamented that the APC formed in 2014 with the hope of meeting the needs and aspirations of the people in critical areas of national life has not delivered.

“We are gathered here to consult with our supporters, market women, artisans, youths and women on how to guarantee our people’s interest and our state’s progress,” he was quoted as saying.

“Our leader Senate President Bukola Saraki will soon come home to announce where we will go. APC has not met our expectations. You have told us that they have not met your aspirations as a people in APC.

“You have come to tell us that you want us to move on to a new platform that will give us room to meet our aspirations for the good of Kwarans. By the grace of God almighty, you will have a response very soon and very clear.

“But one is as clear as crystal you the stakeholders have told us to move out of the APC and because we run an inclusive process, that is why we have come to sit here and seek your opinion which you have expressed.

“And certainly your decision is our decision. So whatever you want is what we will do. God will guide us aright.”

Reno Omokri, a former aide to the ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan has said the All Progressives Congress Senators who are loyal to the Peoples Democratic, PDP were fooling President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari met with Senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Wednesday night.

The meeting followed a mass defection of APC lawmakers in the Upper and Lower Legislative chambers on Tuesday.

Speaking after the meeting, the Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan assured Buhari that the members of the National Assembly who dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will return to the party before the general elections in 2019.

But reacting, Omokri took to his Twitter page, saying most APC senators who are PDP loyalists are staying behind in the ruling party to destroy things.

According to him, the APC Senators’ pledge of loyalty to Buhari is mere deceit.

Google launched a network of free Wi-Fi hotspots in Nigeria on Thursday, part of its effort to increase its presence in Africa’s most populous nation.

The U.S. technology firm, owned by Alphabet Inc, has partnered with Nigerian fiber cable network provider 21st Century to provide its public Wi-Fi service, Google Station, in six places in the commercial capital Lagos, including the city’s airport.

Internet penetration is relatively low in Nigeria. Some 25.7 percent of the population made use of the internet in 2016, according to World Bank data.
The poor internet infrastructure is a major challenge for businesses operating in the country, which is Africa’s largest oil producer. Broadband services are either unreliable or unaffordable to many of Nigeria’s 190 million inhabitants.

“We are rolling out the service in Lagos today but the plan is to quickly expand to other locations,” Anjali Joshi, Google’s vice president for product management, told Reuters in Lagos.

The company said it aimed to collaborate with internet service providers to reach millions of Nigerians in 200 public spaces across five cities by the end of 2019.

It said it would generate cash from the service in Nigeria by placing Google adverts in the login portal. Google did not disclose the amount invested in the new Nigeria service.

The technology firm said it planned to share revenues with its partners to help them maintain and deploy the Wi-Fi service but did not disclose the expected advertising revenue split.

Nigeria is the fifth country to launch Google Station. Similar services have been launched in India, Indonesia, Mexico and Thailand.



The service is aimed at countries with rapidly expanding populations. The United Nations estimates Nigeria will be the world’s third most populous nation, after China and India, by 2050.

“A lot of people who found data to be too expensive for them to use, are using it,” said Joshi. “In India, we have tens of millions of users, and close to a million in Mexico.”

Africa’s rapid population growth, falling data costs and heavy adoption of mobile phones has made it an attractive investment prospect for technology companies. But many do not disclose how profitable the continent’s markets are, or if they make the companies money at all.

Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo welcomed efforts to improve internet connectivity in a speech at a Google conference in Lagos on Thursday.

“Access to information means that the gap in equality and exclusion are bridged,” said Osinbajo who earlier this month met Google’s chief executive, Sundar Pichai, at the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters.

Last year, Google announced plans to train 10 million Africans in online skills within five years.

Facebook Inc Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg’s fortune took an almost $16 billion hit on Thursday, as the social media giant headed for the biggest one-day wipeout in U.S. stock market history, a day after executives forecast years of lower profit margins.

At least 16 brokerages cut their price targets on Facebook after managers said the cost of improving privacy safeguards, as well as slowing usage in the biggest advertising markets, would hit the company’s profit margins for more than two years.

Facebook shares were down as much as 19.6 percent at $174.78 in early trading, a decline that would wipe about $124 billion off the company’s value - or nearly four times the entire market capitalization of Twitter Inc.

Facebook’s second-quarter results were the first sign that a new European privacy law and a string of privacy scandals involving Cambridge Analytica and other app developers are hitting the company’s business.

Facebook also warned that the toll would not be offset by revenue growth from emerging markets and the company’s Instagram app, which has been less affected by privacy concerns.

Describing the announcements as “bombshells”, Baird analysts said the issues were to a large degree “self-inflicted” as Facebook sacrifices its core app monetization to drive usage.

Of 47 analysts covering Facebook, 43 rate the stock as “buy”, two rate it “hold” and two rate it “sell”. Their median target price is $219.30.

MoffettNathanson analysts called the company’s forecast “either the new economic reality of their business model or a very public act of self-immolation to stave off further regulatory pressure”.

The $15.8 billion in net worth that Zuckerberg stands to lose in the move is equal to the wealth of the world’s 81st-richest person, currently Japanese businessman Takemitsu Takizaki, according to Forbes real time data.

Some analysts said Facebook’s issues would not be easily resolved.

“Unlike Netflix, whose quarterly shortfall we saw as temporary, here we see an evolution of the story, albeit a portion of which we expected,” said Daniel Salmon, analyst at BMO Capital Markets.

Others, however, saw a silver lining in Facebook’s emphasis on more engaging content and its promotion of stories on its News Feed, which would support revenue over the longer term.
