My name came out for service on the school notice board.
But I still have some fees to settle, would it prevent my name from being uploaded to the nysc portal?
Tho I intend going next year

She'd be 30 by next month. She graduated in 2019, and wrote her last spill over papers November last year, and the result hasn't been pasted yet.
So she's scared that the Senate might use the date the result was pasted and not the date she wrote the exams.

Yes she can. She can also influence her age by reducing it without going through the streis of regularization. Though it's quite costly but if she can afford it. Or better still let her go for regularization

Yes o. The school might delay in releasing final year students result and also delay in approval. If eventually they released result and approved it. The very day the result was approved is when they considered the students to have graduated successfully. You as a student will calculate the date of birth on your jamb to that very day senate approved their results to be sure if you've passed the age threshold of being mobilised for service which is usually 30 years. If for instance you have a day to clock 30 when your results got approval then you'd be mobilised for NYSC. But if paradventure you clocked 30 on or before your results was being approved then you'd be exempted from service.

Not just the month but the day. If you'd clock 30 tomorrow and senate approve your results today then you're qualified for NYSC. But if your results will be approved tomorrow or next tomorrow then you ain't qualified for NYSC. You'd be exempted reason because you already clocked 30 that very day your results was approved

Yes, it's possible provided her result got approval before she clock 30. Senate approved result indicate the students who had successfully passed all their exams (learning and character) and they are qualified to be issued certificate and get mobilised for NYSC/Exemption.


Your sister should know if/when her result had/will been/be approved by the Senate. In a nutshell, her result must be approved before she officially clock 30. If otherwise, she'd be exempted from service

And please what happens if someone writes an exam at the age of 29, but the result isn't released until the person clocks 30? Does it mean the person won't go for service?
