gentle136:There won't be a regional war. It is just fear-mongering talks from politicians. Besides, the only countries at war in the middle east is Iran and Israel. The others are mere spectators. |
Another one. |
Mikkeal:The bold is exactly what EFCC discovered. But the charges were dropped because of alleged bribery and external influence. EFCC don't just slap money laundering charge on a random individual because they have a bank account but the discovery of suspiciously large transactions. As to who would trust Bobrisky with money laundering, a smart crook would. Such character can stay hidden indefinitely with their hard to track income sources and public personality. If not for Naira abuse, nobody would care about his account activities and unexplained wealth. I won't dignify your veiled insults. |
Bala, who headed the prosecution team that handled Okuneye’s trial, stated that the charges were dropped based on the disclosure of the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering, that Okunenye’s firm, Bob Express, was not a Designated Non-Financial Institution, Business, and Profession, and could not be prosecuted for flouting provisions of the Money Laundering Prevention & Prohibition Act, 2022.So anybody can register a firm as a Non-Financial Institution and be free to engage in money laundering without consequence? This EFCC official is either an illiterate or lying to cover up other serious crimes, likely the alleged bribe. Any firm, registered or not, financial or not, even individuals can be charged with money laundering if they engage in money laundering, that is the position of the law. EFCC is making silly excuse. |
Sparrk007:Who are the we? They will end up failing to win a single local government. |
fuckingAyaya:What a dumb statement. Any knowledgeable person knows that fighting a professional army is the easiest war ever as they would not use civilians as human shield. Militants/terrorists on the other hand love to hide themselves among civilians. |
jchioma:It was not a mistake! Many don't understand how bandits operate. The NAF targeted a group of bandits while mingling with some civilian populace and now we have collateral damage. Sometimes, the collaterals are very small and doesn't make the news. Other times, it is quite large as it appears in this case. This isn't peculiar to Nigeria, it happened several times when US was in Afghanistan. It is currently happening in Gaza and Lebanon. It is impossible to engage in aerial bombing of militants who like to embed themselves with civilians without taking some innocents along. |
MadPolitician:No need sounding smart. Not everybody can speak as good as they write! And writing can always be proofread and edited multiple times before final submission. Moreover, it is impossible to go from degree, masters and then PhD without average writing skills. It is even stupid to go such route after all, only SSCE is required to contest for political positions. |
MadPolitician:Schools test written English and not spoken one. There are people with poor oral but at least average writing skills. He could be one of them. |
PaChukwudi44:Yes.They will be sworn in with zero allocations. There is already precedence for withholding allocations. By now, you should have understood that politics is all about long-term wins and not short-term victories. |
LagosPrince:That is a lie told to kids. Tinubu received full allocation from OBJ, only the local government fund was seized, same thing will happen with illegally elected chairmen. Fubara is capable and will outsmart and out-perform Wike as the executive governor of Rivers State.Early celebrations often lead to disappointment. Remember this is not your first time of celebrating early only to end up with huge embarrassment. The legal issue of the assembly members have not even been resolved yet. There is a very long way to go. |
Racoon:A federal high court bars INEC. While a local high court gives the go-ahead. The election will take place but the results won't be recognized because it will be deemed illegal, so likely no allocation till their "tenures" end or legal battle concluded. |
Typical. Cause problems for your family with infidelity. Then cry foul to the media for public sympathy when the chicken comes home to roost. Since the children are full grown adult, they are free to do whatever they want. No need blaming the ex-wife. |
Glimpsetv:Programming and all really? He assembled the parts, nothing wrong with that though. |
Emeskhalifa:Not all Nigerians. Not even the majority. Many of the fraudsters are illegal immigrants who overstayed their visas. The others are unskilled individuals living from hand to mouth. Since these groups income earning prospects are limited and can't keep up with the joneses, they resort to fraud. Nigerian professionals engage in legal business that contribute to the US economy. It is not due to these fraudsters that we top the list of highest earning immigrants. |
emmy512: PotatoSalad:The guy is a nutcase. Everything is a white man's conspiracy to people like him. |
honour7:It is the other way around. Users of publicly available images must get permission or ensure that the image is free for commercial use before using it. |
Brendaniel:Votes cannot be vetted if the players are dirty. Technology can help filter out small time and unsophisticated riggers but when the stakes are high, smart and wealthy crooks can still have their way. What many people underestimate is the sheer proportion of those who wants to cheat the system. |
CodeTemplarr:A lot of magic can happen between casting and server collation. A more desperate group can even hijack the server using compromised tech operators. Technology cannot stop a group of determined humans. |
CodeTemplarr:How do you collate such votes? |
It is refreshing reading the opinion of a smart lawyer. |
Nonsense. Most countries including Israel's most valuable ally support 2 states. Even more than a third of Israel citizens also supports 2 states. Even if your wish comes true, Israel's support for Biafra will change nothing. The only country that can make Biafra a reality is not interested in doing so. |
obonujoker:Deliverance from pastorpreneurs I guess? |
He has his reasons. |
Not surprised. You can't fight the government and win on security/privacy debate. This Telegram capitulation may not even be enough to set Durov free, he may be required to actively target/suspend suspected fraudulent/criminal accounts on Telegram too. There is no absolute free speech anywhere. |
Ekejoestar:It is not a matter of believe. If you are found with a bomb, you will be arrested even if you haven't used it yet. The suspect was found with a bomb equivalent for fraud. If he can rationally explain why, where and how he innocently come to be in the possession of such documents, then he may be discharged by the court. |
This looks like a PR. Waiting for an objective assessment of the IREV result. Discrepancies between IREV and INEC figures are not a problem since the law gives INEC various power to cancel certain votes it considers void. What would be troubling is to see massive difference between the IREV and INEC figures as obtained in Rivers in the last presidential elections. |
That won't happen because the devil is in the detail. |
When did Oshodi people become two NURTW factions fighting themselves. The letter is filled with grammatical blunders which further confirms the real players involved as opposed to the average Oshodi law abiding citizens. |
lebete3000:The army said they kept her after discovering her mental health issue which is against protocol. Make what you wish of such info. |
crossbreedwears:The army sure employed this "mental health" person and kept her even after they knew she has mental health. When we say mental health, you lots automatically think a mad person roaming the street. No, majority of active duty officers definitely have mental health issues. The question you should be asking is what kind? |
Omoapena:To the driver, paying bribe to the taskforce is more costly than losing a tyre. Hence his choice. It doesn't matter how much a truck tyre cost. Nobody has the right to deprive hundreds of people their economic freedom over poor decision. |
