Where do they breed this Nairaland braggart from?
Have you been to the market and not feel the atmosphere?

I don't blame you though, people that are being fed can't tell good or bad times apart.

Another misleading headline.
How can someone siphon their own money?

Tax evasion is a global phenomenon, you tackle it with laws not noise.

I'm only suspecting that's what they plan doing...
Yes, my point is that they may think that is what they want to do
but will find out they can't and quietly not raise the issue again
after some few weeks of noise.

Do you remember when Emefiele seized the assets of companies who traded
in foreign stocks, he eventually lost the case in court as there is no law banning
Nigerians from trading in foreign stocks.

binance it's a registered company in Nigeria so it can fly not like Twitter.
Let us ignore the fact that Binance and all other foreign exchanges are not properly registered in Nigeria.

What is the total asset of Binance in Nigeria?
I mean, what can the government seize as Binance property here in Nigeria.

If he goes after the major crypto companies, the companies will have no choice than to stop all transactions and ban all Nigerian users, give them a short time to withdraw their funds, and they might have no choice than to repatriate their funds back to naira.

Only neophytes will repatriate their funds to Naira out of fear.
In fact, a person can hold and spend crypto without touching the Naira.

The experienced people understand that those making the policy are crypto illiterate.
That explains their policy summersault.

If you think they can, then you don't understand how crypto works.
You think the CBN will write to Binance, hey Binance, give me
all the crypto belonging to Nigerians and Binance will say, take it all my lord.

As what exactly?
The worst that can happen is a ban which will be meaningless to crypto savvy folks.

If you disagree, explain how the Nigeria government can seize crypto it does not own.

So, the CBN governor didn't know what he was doing when he lifted the crypto ban.

This advice is pointless.
The government can only block crypto websites, it cannot take possession of the coins.

DeLaRue:
Saying Tinubu knew what he was going to meet in government is ridiculous.

So, Tinubu knew Nigeria had only $3.7billion in its foreign reserve, not the $37 billion that the Buhari government led the country to believe.

National debt aren't secret. Any interested person can get the info.
The foreign reserve is not $3.7 billion. If it is, why has Cardoso not updated the figure.
Is he also working for Buhari

Did Tinubu know that Emefiele, Buhari's assistant Tunde, and the Aso Rock gang stole billions of dollars and trillions of Naira?
Dumb lies.
The only case that could be brought up is the $6.2 million "forged cheque".
Shouldn't the government be prosecuting some people for billions allegedly stolen?

Did Tinubu know that the Buhari government has sold most of the country's future oil production, collected the dollars and spent/stole it all?
Crude oil for loan didn't start with Buhari.
Tinubu also did the same thing with Afrexim loan. If it was a bad thing, why is Tinubu also selling future oil?
BTW, Tinubu never for once criticized Buhari when he went on borrowing spree.

Did Tinubu know that the past government was effectively handing over a virtually bankrupt country to him.

Why should Tinubu not blame the past government.
Because he either fully knows what he was getting into or he is so incompetent
that he didn't bother to understand the Nigerian economy before claiming he can fix it.
Politics / Re: Sap Failed. Will Tinubu's 'reforms' Succeed - The Cable by ivolt: 2:45pm On Feb 17
SAP did not fail.
Journalists were just spouting nonsense about it.
SAP was designed to help a debt-ridden country manage its debt through extreme austerity measures.
Nothing more nothing less.

So, the result will always be worsening living conditions and cutting of government benefits.

SAP is not a miracle cure for economic breakthrough. It was implemented to avoid total economic collapse.

Allow other investors in the cement industry for competitions, and watch demand and supply determine the cost.
New investors are good but they will actually sell at a higher price than existing ones
or they risk folding up in the short term.

Competition brings down prices only when an economies of scale has been achieved
by some of the established players.

So, new investors will take at least 5 to 10 years to influence the market.

Flier:
Dealer are exporting it to neighboring countries because their currency is stronger than our own at the moment so they are making a lot on each bag of cement, that leads to demand higher than supply in Nigeria hence the price increase
The same is happening to food at the moment, northerners are selling to neighboring countries
Exchange rate need to go down otherwise neighboring countries will start raiding Nigeria to get cheap products there by creating scarcity and price increase in Nigeria

Do you mean neighboring countries are buying at higher price than Nigerians?

Why didn't they do the same thing 10 or 15 years ago?

Dangote enjoys tax relief from the government. Limestone and other materials used for production is sourced locally and not imported. Cost of production alone is not enough for him to triple the price of his cement. It's funny how everyone blames farmers for hoarding grains and inflating prices for commodities but yet no one is talking about people like Dangote for doing same
Why don't you buy BUA cement?
Oh, it is even more costly.
Stop wasting your time spreading hate against the man
since you obviously don't care about the price of cement.

The topic is about the price of cement but you turned it into a Dangote issue.

An Epistle of a simp😁😁

Nigeria is the only part of the globe where they celebrate people for behaving like a normal human being or performing their duties⚠️

You will never see a white man, indian, Chinese or even an Arabian man with this kind of long epistle of jargon over a woman♂️
Who gets angry because another man celebrates his wife?
Losers of course.

How many white men, Indian or Chinese have you met and interacted with?
Even smart employers specially appreciate their exceptional employees even
though they pay salaries and have the power to fire them at will.

All I see is an adult with children brain.
I don't blame you though, having spend several decades on earth,
it would be painful if the only thing you have to show for in relationships are the hookers
and the urgent 2k hustlers.

Of course, this is the internet, you are free to claim whichever character you fantasize
to be so you can get accolades from your fellows.

@OZIOGU1, ignore the embittered souls. Your wife is a great woman, celebrate her.

Politics / Re: Saraki, Sanusi: How They Took Over Intercontinental Bank From Akingbola by ivolt: 8:31am On Feb 16
I think the question should be why Saraki was particularly interested in IB,
why not First Bank, GTB or Zenith?

The fact is that IB bank has very bad loans and risky balance which the sharks
took advantage of.

It is even very likely that Saraki and Erastus have engaged in shady deals together
and Saraki got angry when Erastus refused to help him out on another deal.
Erastus should have resigned to save IB bank and let a neutral non-political manager take over.

There is just too much rot in the Nigerian political space.
A politician should not have the influence to liquidate or merge banks.
