Lexusgs430:

His problems are now multifaceted.......

- He might be issued with a CIFAS......
- He needs to disclose to all insurance companys, that he had a previous policy cancelled (details would already be uploaded on the MIB)........
- If he dishonestly does not make a full disclosure, he stands the risk of having future insurance policies, declared null & void (even with a live claim in process)......

Never use an insurance broker, they might save you one penny today, but would cost you £15,000 tomorrow.......😁

NB: Does he have a NCD certificate from Nigeria.......

Hello guys pls my friend needs help 🙏.

His insurance was done by a 3rd party who claimed to be a broker. He realized after a year that the broker claimed that he had 8 years NCD in the UK instead of Nigeria. He decided to search for another insurance quote with his real details. The current insurance company mailed hi that they have initiated cancellation of his insurance based on false information. They also said it would be reported to other agencies. He quickly paid for another insurance, quite high, though. Kindly advise on how to get a reasonable cover. He has close to 2 years UK license with 8 year NCD from Nigeria

My friend currently stays in a hotel. Go to booking.com and book a £20 to £35 room for her. You can also book airbnb.
Thank you so much

Thanks everyone! Found an AirBnB thank you all she’s following now
It’s simple, you can go online now to get her an Airbnb apartment close to her school. Get the apartment with her name and send the details to her. You can do that before she lands. Also there are people on here who can give you pounds for naira. You can as well set that up for her so that immediately she gets to the Airbnb apartment she can get a SIM card and open a UK bank account. Once the account is opened, you can then complete the transaction with the person to pay the money to her account. The rest she can continue by coming to nairaland to read for herself as it will help her if she get the information herself.

This must be university of huddersfield. The school sent my friend a strong worded mail to defer but he still went. His visa came out on the 11th of February and he left Nigeria on the 12th and arrived huddersfield on the 13th. He completed his enrolment on the 14th. Your sister should book flight and leave tomorrow.
My friend confirmed students are still coming in as at this morning.

Yes it’s hudderfield, she’s already on her way. pls can i contact you she doesn’t know anyone or have any place to stay. They gave her till tomorrow to resume.

I knw someone in a very similar situation and they asked the uni for another extension which was granted till the 20th of Feb. Deferring ur admission will make you lose all the costs u incurred towards securing this visa. You might be denied entry into the UK if u don’t get approval or extension from ur uni
Pls i’m here again oh abeg make una no vex! My sister is on her way to the UK now, the school said she can resume tomorrow. She’s going to university of huddersfield Yorkshire, she doesn’t know anyone, no accommodation and she doesn’t have pounds. Pls help!!!! She’s with naira Pls anyone

If you defer you will have to start the process all over again. Another option is to write your school a well detailed mail about why you cannot defer and how well you are sure you will catch up with your studies. Explain the efforts and time you have invested. And the delay was not your fault. When I say well detailed I mean very very detailed mail that will make anyone agree with you. Restrain from using words like Beg and it’s brothers .
Thank you so much

I’m in this shoes with you.Still waiting for my admission for MSc Adult nursing, even though nursing doesn’t pay well in the UK, in the long run you can decide to go to US or canada or elsewhere to practice and you’ll be paid well

Thanks Chief. I'd ask him to use the school's letter headed paper then.

If he cannot get letter headed paper he should use the school official email address on the reference letter
