Good evening great minds in the house,

My questions are for @IYIMAN and other fellows that have passed the embassy interview stage;

1.) I want to ask if NVC will request for any document from me or from any of family members accompanying me (that is, husband and child) before my interview is scheduled.

2.) On the interview day at the embassy, will my husband also be interviewed or only me as a principal applicant?

Thank you as u give a sincere response.

1. Of course yes. That's the documents stage, you and your family members civil documents. A list of all needed documents will be sent to you.

2. Everybody must be present at the interview. The CO can interact with any of the family members, though you're the principal interviewee.

I have a question my friend in Nigeria will want anyone will useful info to clarify regarding registering for NCLEX.

She studied basic midwifery for 3 years in Nigeria and got registered and licensed midwife.

Thereafter she studied post basic nursing for 18 months and got registered and licensed nurse, all from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

The area am asking is if state nursing councils in US will allow her register for nclex having done general nursing for just 18months and not the regular 3 years.

Are they insisting that only RN who did 3 yrs nursing can apply for registration?

Texas in mind.
Goch4sweet midwifery is not registrable in the US (for foreign trained Nurses). In fact , no specialized area is recognized, to the extent some Bsn holders have had transcript issues, despite been a standard degree program. 18 months in Nursing education is unlikely to meet up with the standard required, if evaluated. But instead of self-defeat, if your friend doesn't mind the cost of the evaluation process, let her give it a try (for the sake of it). She might learn what she needs to do to meet up. My opinion.

I want to commend your prompt and timely response on this forum. You are one of the few people keeping this forum alive n going. Thumb up!

Thank you for the encouragement. If we share what we know, we can never tell how far it helps others to make decision.
A lot of colleagues here have passed Nclex... I wish people can share their experiences to encourage others. Some have relocated successfully too.
Nigeria Nurses are passing enmasse at one or two sittings maximum. This is good for us.

He has a right to sue
Its funny sha cos in eko hotel u can't get access to all floors except the guests allows u to come up tru d elevator or u work in the hotel
Besides there a CCTV on all floors
Using room service line to get in should be his fault
Why open the door is u didn't order for anything
The court will determine the amount payable
He is line with the 500million
But the court may cut it lower

You're very correct with all your points. May I also tell you that for a staff to access a guest room, you must take permission from the duty manager. CCTV on corridors. Did he call the hotel security line immediately the robbers left his room. Eko hotel is secured.

Family / Re: I Deny My Husband Sex Because Of STD by IYIMAN: 6:14am On Nov 05, 2017
EVILFOREST:

Her HUSBAND may have accepted under duress from his wife, just to allow peace reign.
How are you sure the MAN gave it to her....?
It could also be possible the lady got it from another infected partner..?
She may also be sleeping around..
I have encountered cases, where LADIES claim it was there husbands that gave them HIV....but on convincing such men to donate blood to their babies, we ran tests and discovered that they were completely SERO-NEGATIVE. Many came crying that we shouldn't disclose such to their husbands.
However we counseled them to let them know.

LADIES can lie....
The worst is that they shed tears when Lying.
I have encountered several of them.

U may be shocked she just has an ordinary vaginal thrush, which she may have contracted from poor personal hygiene.
And since her HUSBAND cheats, he doesn't have any excuse than to accept.
Don't be surprised the other Lady may be neater than the man's wife.
I'm sorry,
I'm a scientist...
I don't just conclude...

Don't know why I'm thinking same way. The guilt of the husband actually cheating may have made him accept responsibility for the wife's "STD".
Not all std are STD, it may just be a general urogenital infection caused by different thing, including poor vulva hygiene. Poor toilet habit etc. Do we blame STD for Virgins who have foul smelling secretions with severe itching (from candidiasis) They should go for tests and continue afresh. Whatever it is, if he's repentant, forgive him , hope he'll truly change.

like how long does it take to get CES report from cgfns If all documents are intact with cgfns?

Unpredictable. You have 3 months standard waiting/submission time. Your report can be ready a month after that 3 month, making four months. Some have had it delayed for longer. But my experience with New York, it's 6 months after your documents are complete (to get report across to board) after your 3 months with cgfns. A colleague used New mexico BON, instead of Cgfns, he used ERES and got report submitted within 6weeks. Everything took only 2 months.

I just got my Ielts result LR 8, WS 6.5 overall of 7.5. pls what is d next step for me? which comes first credentials evaluation or registration with BON? pls put me thru. can I get your email Addy? Thanks in anticipation.

Congratulations! Decide which board you want to use, then apply for CES. While waiting for CES report , apply to the board with payment.

NB: you may not use New York board if you don't want to wait for 9 months.... Look at Texas and New Mexico (just a suggestion).

Hello house,
I need to know if any of the USA state's that does not require finger print, CGFN exam and SSN for Nclex RN exam . I have tried to read the about all the states and their requirements but it's still confusing.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. grin

Thanks in advance
New York matches your criteria, maybe some others do too, check state by state and eliminate the ones that don't fit your wish. Some need English, some fingerprint, some SSN, some others Cgfns exam. New York doesn't need any of those.

How have they been coping/living for the past 24 months? If this agency has outlived it's relevance to the government, the workers can be redeployed to where they are needed in other ministries/agency.

Please for those who have gone through cgfns, I am stuck somewhere, I applied for my license with my 3 full names but my license is carrying my middle name as an abbreviation which is the usual. There is a section in the form where I am required to fill in the name I used for my license, do I fill in my full names like when I applied or fill it with my middle name initialized like it is on the license copy? I'm really scared of waiting months or starting all over cos of that singular mistake

I don't see any issue here, put in your full names as it appeared on your application. I believe it is understandable that your licence can not carry your full name spelt out.

Condolences to the family.

This is really very sad. Hector was a gentle guy , the 32 days together in NIFOR was full of life and energy. Rest in peace, Hector. Hope investigation was concluded before this burial.

By endorsement, i believe that is passing N clex

You must have been licensed in a state to endorse to another state. Your state of primary registration sends your file/info to the one you're endorsing to, you pay required fee, then you get your licence for the new state.. No Nclex. Nclex is only done once.

PS: you'll also meet any other requirements of the new state (if any).

If we know how contracts are awarded, you will understand that 2m is not much. Individuals will not be the ones to get the contract but companies, these companies also pay so many people in the name of staff.
Lets not make a mountain out of a mull.
Secondly remember that 2m is not just for one time fumigation, is for a whole year fumigation.
Thirdly this fumigation is not only for rats. Mosquito, snakes and other ants are targeted during fumigation.
I hope my points here will not attract criticism. My views shaaaa

many people commenting here don,t know how offices run on budget. ask big hotels and corporate headquarters how much they spend on fumigation. standard fumigation is done monthly by some organisations, handled by contractors.
Politics / Re: Plans To Make Hate Speech Treasonable Is A Plot To Silence Opposition - Fayose by IYIMAN: 11:51pm On Aug 19, 2017
*AS WE APPROACH NEXT GENERAL ELECTIONS COME 2019, PLEASE PONDER ON THESE STARK REALITIES/FACTS ON THE LIVES OF NIGERIAN POLITICIANS!*

1. Between 2007 and 2010, Tinubu spent virtually his last kobo to ensure he sent Segun Oni out of the Ekiti State Government House. He did. Today, Oni is the National Vice Chair of APC, a party same Tinubu, not another one o, is the National Leader.

2. Audu Ogbe once told opposition parties there was no vacancy in Aso Rock. He was National Chairman of the ruling PDP then. Today, he is a Minister under a government being controlled by that same opposition.

3. Tinubu once told Obasanjo that he was the "problem of Nigeria". But same Tinubu went to Obasanjo that they had finished the construction of the opposition ship. They wanted him to be the navigator! The old fox readily accepted.

4.Nasir El-Rufai, the diminutive Governor of Kaduna State, once told Buhari that he was not a presidential material. Today, not only is Buhari President but the loquacious El-Rufai is a Governor from Buhari's party. He bashes PDP to no end nowadays.

5. Fayose and Fayemi once mounted same rostrum, campaigning in Ekiti with Fayose carrying placard at his father's burial in 2009 that they should vote for Fayemi. In 2014, same Fayose contested against Fayemi and sent him to the Former Governors' Club.

6. Majority of top politicians shouting "APC, Change!" today, were shouting "PDP, Power!" in 2011!

7) Majority of the serving Senators were formerly either Governors or Senators under the one time biggest political party in Nigeria, in fact, some of the House of Reps members had served under PDP.

The list is endless... remember Oyinlola and Aregbesola in Osun State were once worst enemies, but now best of pals! Akala and Ajimobi in Oyo State used to be foes, but now friends.

Now, all these took place within the last TWELVE years! Not that they took place before you were born hence, you did not witness them. Therefore, if you still want to kill yourself because of any politician, please go ahead!

BY THE TIME THEY ARE BACK IN SAME PARTY IN 2019, WE WILL BE MARKING THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR STUPID BUT TIMELY DEATH!

Please share these and let them know that no politician is worth dying for.

OUR MUMU DON DO... (As shared).
