P406: Nope. It was only H1b visas that premium processing was stopped. For Nigeria, our priority dates remain current and as such your application does not take up-to to stipulated 3-6months. 6weeks is OK if you do that encounter an RFE( request for evidence) on any of your documents. I know someone who was filed for first week o.f April at the USCIS, amazingly, she has been approved and has now gone to NVC, has even filled her visa forms and paid fees by the company that field for her. And it wasn't even premium processing that was used. Now, everyone's case is different ,I spent 3months at this stage cos if an RFE encountered but this is someone else with a lesser time. It varies. Great! |

finfol007: Its the time it would take for your wifes visa application to be approved....even tho Nigeria is in the current list, which means there ought not be be delay, theres always a queue for 140 approval,....in a nutshell,it takes about 6-12months sha....except its expedited. Expedition fee is about $400+ I think President Trump has stopped premium processing for now, so I doubt the $400 stuff will still be available... Seems everyone queue now, but it's better for Nigerians, our wait time isn't much. |

TheArchangel: kai, that's huge somehow for someone who's not earning more than 200k..walahi. Roughly $900 which is equivalent to 279,134naira.
Saving up for this. Add visa processing to go for exam, + flight ticket +/- accommodation + local transport . |

cynthiaezebaby: @iyiman congrat once again, please did you use any agent? How long it took you to preparing for the nclex? And which materials did you use?please am waiting for you thanks. Thanks, no agent ..it's complete DIY till date. I did CVS for New York, not CES. CVS to new York is a game of time, it took 9 months to complete. CES is faster (3-4 months). Not sure this thread has started when I started. Effectively, I prepared for a month, but I've always had to look into materials in the course of waiting cgfns report. I used 2 materials; Saunders comprehensive review (6th edition, got on amazon). I subscribed Uworld just a month to the exam, finished the questions with rationale. Though I have other materials.. Didn't really use them. |

TheArchangel: I have a problem and I need help..
I went through School of Nursing before proceeding for my degree at the university. When processing with CES which cert will I present to them.? Auschris, P406, IYIMAN and all the nurses in the house...please diagnose and plan my care. thanks. Like P406 said, it depends on you.. Both are OK. But to keep things simple and straightforward, use only your Diploma RN. Reason: I used same to New York board.. In the end my Diploma was approved by New York Education Department (University of the State of New York), as being equal to the Nursing education in New York. Whatever Cgfns sends to New York board will be further evaluated. |

AjaoSandra: Any precautionary measures to take when filing for a CES please, for those who's gone through it, don't want to make any mistakes....kindly share,.......epp a sista 1. Do not add any post basic (speciality) , focus only on either your diploma RN or Bsc to save money and time. 2. Then avoid delays from your side. 3. If you can, use courier service for your mails, so you can track your documents/correspondence easily. ( DHL) 4. Your date of birth is very important, be mindful of your birth certificate and passport. Goodluck |

P406: Well, I don't know what you mean by NLC. I just printed the forms off the internet, filled them as required. But I ticked the area that said "for candidates who reside outside Texas " as an international candidate. What I know is that; You do not qualify to apply online which maybe what you are trying to do as you are an IEN(internationally educated nurse). You only qualify to send in a paper application. So print out the application forms on TBON and get to it. *Endorsement means moving/transferring your licence to another state after you have been licenced by a state. This means you don't need to take nclex anymore just fulfil the requirements of the intending state and qualify for a license. Payment.... Yes, it requires money order or check drawn on a US bank. I was in the US when I processed mine so it wasn't much of a problem.just bought the money order from Walmart. You can forward your application to someone in the US, have them buy a money order of the stated amount and send along with the package (application) in the same envelope. You can pm me so I frwd TBON application instructions to you. Exactly how I did it.. Package the requirements and send to someone in US. They'll do the payment for you and add the evidence to the docs you send , then forward to the board. |

P406: Sorry, my head is still processing many things. I140 filed April 2016 NVC Sept. 2016- Apr 2017 Interview &visa approval may 2017 Technically 13months. This is typical to my case as it encountered ability of delays. Others move faster if no delay encountered. Congratulations... Happy for you and join you soon. |

finfol007: please explain what the advantage of being current is?
because i know some of my seniors still spent up to 8 to 11 months before the approval date. For Indians and Philippines... It takes longer for them because the number applying is many. {Retrogression occurs when the demand for a particular immigrant visa for a particular nation exceeds the availability of that particular visa. Retrogression often happens towards the end of the fiscal year (between July and September), as the annual limits are reached sooner than anticipated.} |
