PPR alert!

Our story is quite lengthy. I came to Canada as a student in January 2022, and later we attempted to apply for a visit visa for my husband and daughter. Unfortunately, our initial attempt was denied in February 2022. We then applied for a work permit and visit visa in the same month, but it was refused in July 2022. The rejection cited that my husband did not qualify for a work permit because my occupation did not fall under NOC 0, A, or B. Despite submitting all the necessary documents such as my study permit, admission letter, and school fees showing that I was a student, we were devastated by this outcome. We sought help from my MP, but it took two months to receive feedback indicating that the reason for the refusal was that we could not provide proof of our marriage, which we found to be a clear mistake.

We decided to reapply in October, and during this period, we made two additional attempts for visit visas, which were still pending. Eventually, my daughter's visa was approved in December, while my husband's visa was still pending. We persisted, and after nearly four months, his visa was approved last week. Our journey was undoubtedly challenging and exhausting, but we never gave up, and we are grateful that it all ended well. Hopefully, this will inspire someone to persevere through challenging situations.

Why does it seem like only people that applied with kids are getting approval? I pray we receive ours soon.

My timeline:
Submitted 9th Nov
We had biometric from a visitor’s visa application submitted in June 2022. After waiting for 5 months, we decided to put in SOWP.

Eligibility started 29th Jan 2023
Medicals passed 29th Jan 2023
Medicals changed to we do not need medical exam, we will let you know bla bla bla 3rd Jan 2023, apparently our medicals expired.

4th Jan GCMS notes received and indicated “Review Required” on my eligibility for a document they claim my spouse didn’t submit. Apparently it was submitted initially but we sent again via webform.

We booked and did another medicals 16th Jan.
Qlife confirmed they had sent our medical results on 21st Jan 2023.

31st Jan 2023 at exactly 8:30pm our love letters landed.

Only God can do this. I promised I will share my timeline to encourage other people waiting.

Just yesterday, I was asking why people are not sharing their timeline to encourage pple because I was down and needed to read from people, but here I am sharing mine.

Please be encouraged. God is working behind the scenes for you.

What was the reason for the refusal? Did you apply for your 4 year old also?

Am so so sad, my hubby's SOWP and LO applications got rejected!!! Don't know what to do, with over 13m in the account, Has anyone been in this situation?, aside from ordering GCMS notes, what else can we do? Is there any chance of a positive application when they reapply?. Am running mad already I have a 4yrs old son.

Hi everyone,

Please I am in a dilemma, my daughter's visitors visa was denied couple of months back, she will be 5 in December and we are contemplating applying for a study visa for her. While filling the form for the study visa, we got stuck on the IMM 1294 form, what do we put in the details of school to be attended?

Applied for visiting visa for my spouse 11th January 2022 and got refusal 9th of February.
I met @Makano on nairaland through a friend's recommendation and we applied for Sowp for spouse on March 13th 2022 and received ppr July 12th.
God is so good, I can't contain my joy.
Thank you Makano for taking my excesses because I'm sure I gave you a tough time. My husband is coming to Canada and it can only be God.

Thanks, we will go ahead to upload the webform, my husband and I were considering study visa for her since she will be 5 in December, but I have worries about too many application running at the same time

I am not sure the VO took notice of your daughter's age as one under 5 years
Webform would help provide a more precise reason. My problem with it is the one month wait

Yes, we do have an active VV but the only stated reason for refusal is ''the purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application''

That means you had two active VV for your daughter?
If yes, it means you still have another active VV for your daughter after the denial. I will suggest, you use webform to address all the issues raised and get them corrected using the application you submitted in June

Hello gurus in the house,

I arrived in Canada in January 2022, we applied for a visiting visa for my husband and daughter in January but this was refused in February.

Another application for Open Work Permit and visiting visa was submitted in February, we noticed eligibility started today for the OWP but the Visiting visa for my daughter was denied today with reason - ''the purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application''. My daughter will be 5 in December. Do we need to apply for a study visa for her?

I must also add that we submitted a Visiting Visa application in June for my husband and daughter because he will be on vacation in August, the visiting visas application are still active.

PPR ALERT in 2 months (SOWP plus Study Permit for my 3 kids)

I want to give all glory to the Almighty God who can only do this. I did not do anything special except to pray daily to God using the book of John 14:13-14. He is indeed the Almighty. My timeline is stated below:

Application Submitted: May 6, 2022
Biometric s date: May 17,2022
Medical Request: June 16,2022
Medical Done at Qlife: June 30,2022
Medical updated as pass: July 6, 2022
PPR for Spouse(OWP) and 3 kids(SPP): July 8,2022

I used same GCkey that I used for my Study visa last year. I didn't create new GCkey for my family Application .
All glory to God who showed me mercy.

Documents submitted:
All IMM forms
proof of study (enrolment letter, transcript, tuition receipt)
proof of relationship ( marriage certificate, enough pictures)
study leave and employee introduction letter
wife certificate( she has only NCE).

I entered Canada in January 18, 2022. PGD Student(2 years program).

Last week I changed it to thanksgiving and God and the universe answered.
