As Eghosa mentioned, its actually in 2 stages;

(1) WES acknowledging they have received your documents (transcript) from school & also photocopy of your certificate.
Status will change to "Document received (review in progress)"

(2) WES will usually send a mail to your school (Nigeria school as my own case) for some verification.
When school responds and WES get the feedback, your status will change to "Document received, evaluation in progress"

Note;
At this stage , it depends on the workload at hand (at WES), it varies between 2~4 weeks (mine took 4 week - 19/20 working days);
Also you have to send them an email once or twice a week to ensure it doesn't even go beyond 2~4 weeks.

======MY TIMELINE FOR WES VERIFICATION======

> 03-Jan-2017: Paid for WES
> 04-Jan-2017: Send certificate (photocopy) to WES (via Nipost)
> 04-Jan-2017: Transcript payment to school (To be sent to WES)
> 06-Jan-2016: Transcript sent to WES from school
> 20-Jan,2017: Document received (review in progress)
> 10-Feb,2017: Waiting for verification from institution-----Status changed on WES portal/site
> 14-Feb,2017: School started working on WES request.
> 21-Feb,2017: School sent document to WES.
> 22-Feb,2017: Document received, evaluation in progress-----Status changed on WES portal/site
> 15-Mar-2017: WES evaluation completed
[/quote.. love it
Nairaland / General / Re: Man Flew Chopper To Commission A Bridge Worth Sh7800($75) by iykedpetes(m): 11:26am On Mar 15, 2017
teeshawt:
Mr Maina landed in a chopper at Kabaru location, in Kieni East Kenya, to commission the temporary bridge built by the local community together with area MCA Duncan Gituanja.

The bridge is worth Sh7,800.($75)

The flamboyant billionaire road contractor was received by the residents with songs and dance while a group of women wearing red, black and white attires ululated

While addressing the residents, the MCA said he lobbied for the construction of the bridge connecting Gachini and Kinyua wa Mweru villages from the former Mathira MP.

He also divulged that some materials had been donated by the local Forest Service officers.

Mr Maina was photographed cutting a string held by a woman and a man from the two ends to indicate that he had formally launched it. A young man stood beside him with a vuvuzela.

He later boarded a waiting canter-lorry to carry him across the bridge, apparently to confirm that the bridge was firm to support heavy weights.

“The bridge is now complete. Residents will not be landlocked again. Thanks to Hon. Engineer Ephraim Maina for your support,” said Mr Gituanja.

He explained that the bridge broke down almost a year ago and the local administration declined to repair.

MIXED REACTIONS

Mr Maina’s presence and move to commission the project elicited mixed reactions at equal measure with some saying he wasted chopper’s fuel.

“Those criticizing the project are not local residents and therefore they do not understand how helpful it is,” noted the MCA.

Blogger Robert Alai led the attack team creating a view that the project was petty.

“This politician landed in a chopper to open a useless wooden bridge. We need to decide on leaders to elect,” posted Mr Alai on his Facebook page.

However, others came to his defence saying the project was viable.

“The current county administration failed to pay attention to the call to the people who voted for them. Mr Maina heeded their call and built a foot bridge. He was invited to witness the progress and how the footbridge he built connected two regions and made people’s lives easier. I will never fight development,” said one Sandra Mungai.

“We should be thankful to people who are doing something no matter little it is, they are moving the country ahead. Let us criticize those doing mouth business but has nothing to show,” said Mwas Mwangi.

“You ride in Sh100 million helicopter to come and open a wooden bridge…what a shame,” said Shadrack Sambu.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: British Council Job Application/test/interview Process by iykedpetes(m): 9:19am On Mar 15, 2017
teeshawt:
to those of you guys who got the message yesterday, it shows your application was not considered before, and now they are in need of more people, i was lucky to be among the ones that scaled through initially but was dropped at the final stage of recruitment..... just like someone said, the job is a contract type in which u will be paid 600 naira per hour of invigilation(based on the answer i was given during interview also subject to change/increase)......

what you guys should expect based on my experience

BC is an organization that is so organized, so do well to have an active email because all correspondence will be through your mails...

after ur applications might have been screened again to determine those that will move to the next stage, a message will come in, inviting you for an aptitude test.... (see an attachment below)
do not panic as the test is to evaluate you on basic english..... eg writing a sentence given, in another way to have the same meaning(tolu wrote a book in 2005 - the book was written by tolu in the year 2005),
then expect something like : farming is a very common........... 1..........among the rural dwellers (a) preoccupation (b) pastime (c) hobby (d) job (e) occupation etc.....

if ure successful, expect another message within 2 weeks for an interview(the attachment will speak better),

if ure successful expect an offer mail and if ure unsuccessful expect a regret mail just like me(e pain me oh cos i wasted 5k to get bank verification letter)

so guys brace up and prepare yourself for this job, because its so flexible you can do another job while doing t

his.

am still not relenting though, as im still trying to apply and i will not back down..... the successful 5 guys at the ph center will resume this sept ending

i hope it helps..... good luck to you all
please bros really want to know the nature of the test and how many questions ...so I can know how to prepare and please help me with ur contact q
