Family / 15 Affordable Gift Ideas For Your Nigerian Man by iykemoney90(m): 9:21am On Jun 04, 2020 |
An average Nigerian man is not hard to please, just a little gift can go a long way to gladden his heart and shows how much you care about him. Unfortunately, he’s not always at the receiving end when it comes to gifts especially from the female folks. I know sometimes it’s hard to decide what to get for your man as maybe you cannot afford the latest iPhone, a car, or take him on a trip to Zanzibar. Here are 15 affordable gift ideas for your Nigerian man. 1) Table Top Football There no doubt men like football and anything relating to football will excite them. A tabletop football at the corner of the house won’t be a bad idea. 2) Bluetooth Speaker A Bluetooth speaker to blast his favorite jams. Some of these Bluetooth speakers are so loud that you can actually host a party with it or play cool music during bedtime. Who doesn’t like that? 3) Rechargeable Hair Clipper You can get him a rechargeable hair clipper so he can barb or shave anytime he wants without waiting for NEPA or switching on the generator. It doesn’t cost much. 4) Tshirt Get him a tshirt of his favorite colour or one with a cool inscription “My money grows like grass”. 5) Tie and Socks If he works in the cooperate world. This might be a cool affordable gift idea for your man. 6) A Mug You can get an artist to write his name or his favorite quote on a mug. Any day he uses the cup, he will remember the giver. 7) A Portrait Get a good artist to make a good portrait of him and give it to him as a gift. It doesn’t even cost much to get a good artist these days. they are all over the internet looking for jobs to do. His Favorite Football Club’s Jersey If you don’t know this. It’s better you ask him first before turning a gift to a nightmare. Get him his club’s jersey, if possible inscribe his name at the back of the jersey. This will surely be appreciated. 9) Perfume or Body Spray Fragrance plays a huge role in how you feel and has the ability to elicit a range of emotions from feeling confident to sexy, happy, relaxed, and more. If you need to bring out you the best in your man, buy him a nice perfume. 10) A Bottle of Liquor Some liquors cant be taken for granted. If your man takes alcohol, get him a bottle of brandy or spirit. Just make sure its not the common ones. 11) A Wallet A gentleman’s wallet can say a lot about him. Its style, condition, color, and contents can all shed light on aspects of your persona. Help him change that wallet today. 12) Sneakers A pair of sneakers or trainers won’t be a bad idea. There are good quality ones you can get for cheap. Just check out your favorite shoe plug for a good one. 13) Belt A good leather belt will look good on him. You can get one or two depending on what you can afford. Two different colors black and brown will be nice. 14) Wrist Watch Watches are statement pieces that communicate your sense of style and personality. Depending on the brand and model. Most watches are expensive but there cool affordable watches you can get in the market. 15) Boxers and Singlet; Naija girls favorite, usually given on valentine days, but I wouldn’t recommend this because of the recent negativity associated with it unless you notice that your man is lacking in that department. I have given you 15 Affordable Gift Ideas for your Nigerian Man. Do you think there is something we are missing? Family / 6 Ways To Avoid Getting Scammed While Shopping Online In Nigeria (2020) by iykemoney90(m): 10:49am On May 29, 2020 |
This is 2020, due to the effects of COVID-19 or some other reasons, most of us now do most of our shopping online. Since more people are now embracing online shopping in Nigeria, we all must learn ways we can avoid getting scammed while shopping online. It’s quite frustrating and painful to lose your hard-earned money to this scammers. The terrible part of it is that these scammers are getting smarter every day and using sophisticated technologies to manoeuvre their way into people’s minds and bank accounts. This is why we at Greathomemaking have taken it upon ourselves to help you live smarter by educating you on 6 ways to avoid getting scammed while shopping online. Prioritize Shopping on Verified/Trusted E-commerce Stores Try as much as possible to shop on e-commerce stores that popular, tested and trusted. When searching for products or goods online, always consider domain authority. Good verified websites will always appear on the first page on google search. Make sure the website you are shopping on has a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. You can know this when you see a padlock in the address bar of your browser and the first letters of the address should have “Https”. That’s one way to know a secured website. Check the Identity of the Seller Some people especially small scale businesses sell or resell their goods individually on social media. They usually create an account or pages on social media where people engage them and purchase their products. In as much as we encourage people to patronize internet marketers to enable them to grow, it’s good to always look out for scammers using this medium to defraud people of their money or information. One good way of knowing genuine businesses is the reviews from their followership on social media. Genuine Internet marketers usually have a large or moderate number of followers on social media. Another way is that they display some of the goods or products they sell alongside themselves in a picture or video format. Some of these scammers go-ahead to clone these popular social media account/pages with same pictures and format but the follower-ship are usually small in number and use it to defraud people So before sending money to people online make sure you verify their authenticity by looking out for all these red flags if possible call the seller on video call before parting with your money or information. Pay with a Secure Means of Payment Always insist on paying with a well-secured payment gateway. Only use your debit card on sites that have a credible payment gateway. Most genuine websites integrate credible online payment platforms like Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch e.t.c. to facilitate payment on their website. Avoid paying upfront on websites or businesses you don’t trust. If you must do a bank transfer, verify that the name of the bank account matches with the seller. Also, be careful about sellers asking for cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment. Always Check Reviews Reviews both online and offline are another way to check the credibility of an e-commerce store or an online marketer. Before you do any transaction with anyone, type in the company/person’s name in google search and read about them. There is a likelihood someone has talked about them online. You can also do offline reviews by asking friends and family to do a background check if you are not too sure of who you are dealing with. Don’t buy if its too Good to be True Don’t get greedy, there’s no free lunch in life. If the product is way below the actual market price, there are chances that it’s a scam or of low quality. If you see a G-wagon being sold for 1 million Naira on Jiji. There is a likelihood you might get scammed of your money or you might get only the tires delivered to you. Always insist on value for money. Read Privacy Policy/Terms and Conditions avoid getting scammed while shopping online Always read the privacy policy and terms and conditions of any website you wish to shop from. There you can see information bothering on pricing, shipping, return policy, hidden charges and the rest. Never ignore this whenever you are shopping online. In conclusion, it’s essential to be on the alert whenever you’re shopping online. Be on the lookout for anything that doesn’t seem right and if your guts don’t feel right about it, then it’s probably good to keep your money and look elsewhere. Did we miss anything? Romance / I Love Her But I'm Confused by iykemoney90(m): 8:10pm On Apr 21, 2020 |
I have been dating my girlfriend for 1 year now. All my life, I have never seen a girl so nice and caring like her. She loves me so much that most times she puts me ahead of herself in so many things. I love her as well but the issue now is early this year, she told me, she will want to marry as shes not getting younger, we are both 29 and she has so many suitors coming to ask her hand in marriage. I'm not ready financially for marriage I must say but she told me to propose to her, that she ready to wait till I'm ready or I should let her marry one of her potential suitors. I don't wanna propose and wait for long before wedding and we all know the Nigerian factor, no one knows the time things go better. Now she's saying she's not convinced I love her that much. I don't want to marry her and let her or my unborn kids suffer in this life. What do I do? |
