PoliticsRe: Niger Republic: A Word Of Caution To The Dogs Of War" ~ Femi Fani-kayode by Iykopee(m): 7:36am On Aug 09, 2023
If a Yoruba man is calling for war, you who is not Yoruba should never follow him to that war because he would abandon you halfway on the march to the war and ran away.

Tinubu already threatened war, reasonable people told him that such war is unnecessary considering the fact that Nigeria has its own war @ home to sought out (Insecurity and economic meltdown) with multidimensional Poverty.

Finally, the deadline Tinubu gave the Junta in Niger Republic elapsed without any action from Tinubu. Now, can you see the people you want to go war with?

They have started singing different songs already on realising how lily-livered they are in the natural.😋😋

Who said if a Yoruba man is beating the drum of war that he would go to sleep?🤠🤠

PoliticsRe: Unlike Okupe, Peter Obi Fails To Stand Up For Democracy In Niger And West Africa by Iykopee(m): 8:08pm On Aug 07, 2023
Throwback:
For a losing and illegitimate candidate who sought to rule a democratic Nigeria that is the leader of ECOWAS, Peter Obi has refused to condemn the illegitimate military junta that overthrew a legitimate and democratic government in Niger Republic.

Knowing fully well that Foreign Affairs and International Politics is not his forte, having posed as a champion of local Igbo politics from his past statements and utterances, this was a good opportunity for Peter Obi to develop on this specific weakness.

Doyin Okupe who initially led Peter Obi's presidential campaign, had come out fast and bold to support the Nigerian and ECOWAS leadership in both condemning the desecration of democracy and also advocating a quick restoration of the legitimate and democratic government of that sovereign state.

But for the past 2 weeks, Peter Obi has remained ignorant, obscure and unconcerned about the situation in Niger, and what it portends for democracy in the sub-region when Mali and Burkina-Faso are also taken into context.

Even as a significant opposition leader in Nigeria, Peter Obi has remained aloof about the ongoing national debate to find a solution with Nigeria's strong leadership, but is only active in sending random congratulatory messages - which might be why he has remained quiet as he would not want to be seen congratulating the illegitimate military junta in Niger - being his default mode.

The questions many are pondering are,

Being a notorious mandate claimant that is advocating that a mandate he did not win must be returned to him, when will Peter Obi demand that the military junta return the constitutional and legitimate mandate of President Bazoum?

Is Obi bereft of knowledge and ideas regarding the international politics of the West African sub-region?

Is Obi only interested in democracy in Nigeria because it will be to his own benefit as a presidential candidate who has vowed that he must oneday become President?

Is this matter way above his league? Is this a case of "this one pass me ooo" as he shamefully uttered during the campaign when posed with a question of economic importance?

Having previously admitted he worked for the military junta in Nigeria that was led by General Sani Abacha, is Obi more inclined towards military dictatorship, and as such his silence over the matter in Niger is an approval of the illegitimate military regime?

Or Peter Obi is still in search of his missing phones, so cannot afford to communicate his opinion and profer solutions yet?

There is still time for Peter Obi to grow from local Igbo politics into a politician with international influence that can assure the confidence of our international partners, but the clock is already ticking away.

If there is no room for congratulations, Peter Obi needs to adapt fast and learn how to communicate condemnations when it is required, as it is now, to show solidarity with democracy and the survival of human freedoms within the West African sub-region, even if he will not be a direct beneficiary.
Thîefnubu that ran away from debate want to use Peter Obi's format in Niger Republic.

Thîefnubu should develop his own template and stop sending his demented roaches to stylistically look for answers from Obi.😋😋😋

Peter Obi doesn't have business with Niger Republic. Bulaba the ECOWAS chairman should go to war and stop waiting for Peter Obi's comments.

PoliticsRe: Last Warning To Anyone Initiating Treasonable Posts On Nairaland Forum by Iykopee(m): 2:02pm On Aug 04, 2023
Odewaleadesoye:
Treason is simply defined as "the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill or overthrow the sovereign or government."

In this context, "Treason Posts" means "any write-up or images that attempts to destroy or overthrown the sovereign or government of Nigeria."

The Nigerian criminal code for the South provides for Treason related offenses in its S. 37 to Section 49 whilst it is embodied in Section 410 to Section 415 of the Penal Code for the North. The offense of treason is punishable with death, while that of treasonable felony is punishable with life imprisonment.

Dear Nairalanders and Nigerians, especially youths, kindly avoid treason in promoting any so-called “coup in Nigeria” , as it is a high crime, on the same scale as joining Boko Haram, ISWAP, or any terror group.

Severe actions will also be taken upon any member of this forum who initiate such post.

Be warned.

For: Nairaland Forum.
Nothing qualifies as treason than statements made when Jonathan was the President. Those animals threatened to form a parallel govt.

Today, the same animals who saw no wrong in such statement are unashamedly warning others over treason.

Treason kee you there👁️

Since the coup in Niger, a number of NL posts have been springing up be mischievous individuals calling/wishing for coup in Nigeria.

Just see below an unfortunate post put up yesterday by one fellow AfricanColumbus.

https://www.nairaland.com/7789894/coup-nigeria-6-things-expect

Many more of these treasonable posts have been put up lately. Why should certain fellows let our democracy be destroyed because of their selfish agenda; because their candidates didn't win elections!

This highly treasonable offence perpetuated by these unpatriotic individuals is unacceptable and denounced by all well meaning Nigerians.

This treasonable posts can put this forum into trouble with the National Security/DSS.

I think Nigeria should be the only country in the world that people can just post anything online, especially treasonable posts.. You DARE NOT try this abroad.. both in Europe & US. You'll be found, caught and tried immediately!

Seun, pls I advise you to put a reign on these individuals immediately! Thanks
Don't be an unfortunate idiot. So soon you have forgotten how the criminal named thîefnubu threatened to form a parallel govt in Jonathan's regime?

Have you also forgotten that his wife was insulted and Jonathan had a mock coffin with his picture attached to it?

If those weren't treasonable then, it is not treasonable now.

You are wailing and gnashing your teeth having realised that others you mentored to regard the president and his office as useless are now using your antics to the best of their knowledge to hunt you down.😋

If you haven't experienced military regime in this country, do not pray to have one.

I have seen their madness (military) and the problems they claim to be the reason to come to power through the barrel of the gun are equally not solved in their administration.

The military style of leadership is never the way to go. Nobody who's reasonable enough should condone military takeover.
