barcanista: And your point is ??
Btw: What was Obasanjo's achievement btw 1976 and 1979? What was his achievement btw 1999 and 2007? Should we do Obasanjo/Jonathan head 2 head? One of the feat for which many Nigerians doff their hat for obasanjo is the transition programme culminating in the handover of power to a civilian president in 1979. (his major achievement) When he was presented as presidential aspirant in 1999 general elections, he won massively with landslide victory becos he had the peoples' trusts. Who could believe the same man made hideous attempts to subvert the constitution through enemies of the masses, praise singers of his selfish desire and insatiable hunger for power to rerun for round three of leadership, a path that shattered his past record? Atleast his past was commendable, his present exposed the devil in him. So tell me why wont i believe same is applicable to buhari with a commendable past but an undetermined present? |

Politics › Re: Dokubo Roars, Tells Jonathan: Sack Nsa, Service Chiefs Now by Iykopee(m): 2:15pm On Sep 01, 2014 |
ruggedboy01: Former militant leader Mujahid Dokubo Asari has said that the insecurity problems in the country would be well taken care of if President Goodluck Jonathan acts fast and sacks his service and security chiefs, saying that he senses corruption in many ramifications as underlying the not-too-impressive war against insurgency. Last March, Jonathan, the President appointed Aliyu Mohammed Gusau as the Defence Minister with a mandate to end the orgy of insurgency by the Boko Haram sect, the Fulani herdsmen and others. He has had to appoint new service chiefs even as he gave all of them including the National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Col. Sambo Dasuki, marching orders to rescue fellow Nigerians from the pangs of the insurgents. Months after, Dokubo Asari alongside other worried public affairs commentators hold that the war against insurgency is not yielding desired results. In an exclusive interview with Nigerian Pilot Saturday, Dokubo Asari declared that though it does not really bother him the amount of destruction Boko Haram causes in the north eastern part of the country, where their activities are very intense, inefficiency in the security services is far worse now before the coming of the current helmsmen in the services. “Sincerely, my brother, when an Ijaw was NSA, the insurgency was not up to this scale in its progression,” the former militant leader said. Linking the development with the alleged plot by the North to stall Jonathan’s bid to seek a second term as President, Dokubo Asari said: “In Nigeria, the insurgency is that Goodluck is an Ijaw man. He is a southerner and must not rule. They are going to make the country ungovernable. “So, they now apply Islamic sentiment which is nowhere. There is no compulsion in religion. That is what the Qur’an says; quoting from the Holy Book, which says; ‘To you is your faith and to me is my faith.’ ” Continuing, Dokubo said: “Nobody can proclaim Islamic jihad on a multi-religious setting like Nigeria. My father has nine children and I am the only Muslim. When you proclaim Islamic jihad you expect me go to my house and start fighting my people while you have your own? “When I have killed them, all you will do is to turn around to say I am Gambari born to rule. You are ruling Hausa, Nupe and Yoruba people who are Muslims like you and you refuse to give them power. Is it an Ijaw man that you have sent to kill his uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters and other relations? “All that they are doing has nothing to do with Islam; it is politically aimed at seizing power. We are waiting for them, they are plotting and we are all plotting. What is happening now is unthinkable more than during the days of Azazi as NSA. For me the president should overhaul the nation’s security.” Dokubo Asari added: “For the insurgency, for people like us they are helping us, without shooting one bullet they are busy shooting the bullet for us. They are busy fighting our cause, so let them go about doing it. Their demand of creating Islamic caliphate is okay; if the people accept, that is okay. “That is not Goodluck’s business; it is mine. Why should we continue to allow people to die, for what purpose? Nigeria is not sacrosanct. The Soviet Union dissolved; Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, amongst others did; let us dissolve Nigeria; we are not the same. Nigeria cannot survive, so, for me I say kudos to Shekau. “You are doing my duty. He is doing what I am supposed to do. I am relaxed. Let them be doing it, let the army be running. Everything that is happening is to my own good; it is to the good of my people because we have less people to fight when the time comes.”

Nigeria is not sacrosant. worse come to worse, we go the way of the soviet union and life will surely continue. Keep telling 'em the bitter truth. Kudos! |
Politics › Re: Why The Efforts To Suppress Rev. Stephen Davis Findings On Boko Haram? by Iykopee(m): 1:59pm On Sep 01, 2014 |
egift: Jonathan has the report for a while now and quickly sacked Ihejirika over some lame excuses and kept very quiet about it. Rev. Davis help them negotiate millions of dollars when their boys were kidnapping foreigners in Niger Delta (he is a very old business partner with men in the Presidency today). His contract with the presidency is still on (the girls are yet to be released).
In case your memory is failing you, the man successfully negotiated the release of all the girls, in exchange for the release of the Wife and Children of Boko Haram suspects that were arrested because their husbands were not found. But at the dieing minute (the day Jonathan landed in Paris), the release was cancelled and Jonathan order the man to pull out of the negotiations.
Finally, will you guys be demanding for evidence if some Jonathan's Opponents were named? ^^^^ if u had read between the lines, u wud knw i only asked for an evidence where ihejirika is found guilty in ur futile bid to incriminate an innocent man as part of the devil behind bokoharam not ur focusless sermon. |
Politics › Re: Why The Efforts To Suppress Rev. Stephen Davis Findings On Boko Haram? by Iykopee(m): 11:07am On Sep 01, 2014 |
egift: We are in a very difficult in Nigeria. 1000s of innocent Nigerians have been killed for committing no crime since the Boko Haram madness started. The popular opinion is that once we find their sponsors, we will deal with them and revenge all the deaths of our fellow citizens who have died.
That is why when President Jonathan finally invited Rev. Stephen Davis, an Australian who is well known to the Presidency, because he help in negotiated the release of foreign experts who where taken hostages in the creeks of Niger Delta when Jonathan held sway in Bayelsa. He even help determine the fee that was to be paid to these militants and their sponsors, including making sure it was delivered in full.
Now that the details have been trickling in, every Nigerian have expected that the Presidency would have jumped into full action (starting with the suspects that have been mentioned and investigate everything in details). But unfortunately, what we have seen is the Presidency seating on the report, being deaf/dumb on the revelation, sending their mercenaries to write long articles casting doubts on the revelations, send swam of cankerworms to ridicule Stephen Davis and what he had to say, twisting the enormity of the situation. We even have people blogging things totally evil against Stephen Davis, adding what was never said, clamming the man has been bribed by the opposition, etc. We all know that if the President's opponent were named, the noise will be very loud.
Nigerians must speak out and demand that Jonathan should address this matter with all urgency. And we don't want Abati and other stooges talking to us and neither do we want him to organize another stage-managed media chat - Let him get in from of the camera and speak to Nigerians on why till now he has refused to arrest and prosecute his close associates OR is he waiting for a report that will implicate his opponents before he do something about it? ^^^^ untill u present insurmountable evidential proof on d issue and not just Stephen Davis's limited opinion, u can prosecute them urself. |

ISpiksDaTroof: People like you are the problem why your country is a shiyyt hole that Noone wants to associate with. Youre the very epitome of the hypocrisy which you pretentiously claim to abhor. Your likes try to pretend that they are neutral and 'open minded' while stoking the fires of hatred and intolerance.
Anyway, the Sultan and Cardinal did condemn the violence happening in the Northern parts of your country IN ITS TOTALITY. They did not segregate the victims by tribe or Nationality like OritseRozay did. How can you properly detail the tribes or religion of the dead victims in a country where the breathing ones can't even be properly identified? Shame on you for being a bigot. ^^^^ untill they stop persecuting xtians in the north otherwise the essence of the parley is pure waste of time. Who need the message of peace and harmony between xtians and muslims ahead of 2015 elections more? I believe the sultan shud divest more of his time and educate his religious brethren on the need for tolerance rather than masking his bigoted and deceptive antics cunningly by meeting with the cardinal. Pastor Ayo cant be deceived. |

The problem with most Xtians is their inability to own a copy of the koran and read a handful portion of it from time to time in other to understand vividly the driving force behind Islamic activities.. So trying to make peace with a known vicious creation is an effort in futility. @ topic, Pastor Ayo may not be the right person to lead CAN for its much taunted glory but without a blink of the eyes, Ayo stood up for Xtians and was vocal against Xtian persecution in the north. Where was the cardinal then? We didnt even hear from the sultan directing whosoever is responsible for destroyin churches to stop. However, one wonder why the Sultan decides to parley with d cardinal. gawd! Its simple, sheer hypocrisy. He wants a dummy he could toss up and down. Pastor Ayo is not that kind of character and he's not ready to pander to the sultan's antics of peace and harmony over 2015 elections now. Why? becos he knew what Islam stands for and the actions of its adherents inside-out.
Lastly, i'm a Xtian and if u cant stand up and speak on behalf of Xtians in the time of trouble, i sincerely believe that u are not representing our interests whether CAN OR NO CAN. |
