rabazamba: That is the Nigerian Law for you, Suicide is a criminal offence and Sen. Ekpenyong is trying to call for an amendment, as insensitive as Akpabio's words were, they are the truth as far as Nigeria now is concerned, if you attempt to commit suicide make sure you die because if you don't die you will be arrested. Remember the man who attempted it months ago that was rescued from the lagoon? Eventually the fellow was arrested raumdeuter: If you attempt suicide and you dont succeed, it becomes a crime I am not saying it's not a law. It's the insensitivity of laughing about it. What exactly is funny? Shouldn't he have emphasized on them seeking help, or any channel of mental support, than laughing that you should better die? Imagine seeing someone trying to commit suicide, and you tell him "You better die oh, or I arrest you". |

GloriousGbola: but you haven't done it chief
that is he point i am making
you are a very practical person and your have your spending priorities straight outside of your babe in every capital
but you have not been able to deploy funds
though as commercial interstate driver your risk is much much higher My point was not that everybody with a 10m car should do it. He said its almost impossible, and I'm saying it's not. I didn't so it because it's not primary for me now, and not because it's impossible. If I do 5 trips to Benin, just deducting my fuel and maintenance expenses, I'll comfortably pay for a Comprehensive policy |

Depending on the soil, you'll be shocked at how you'll pour 30 million into your project, and e no go rise pass foundation.
Not making a case for VDM though. Person use 50 million draw mural, when that money would have added more value to the school. |

swiz123: I would like to see you do that 750k for 10 years without a single use of that insurance. For a vehicle that is commercial, it's worth it I have seen accidents happen, and considering the costs of repair, an insurance policy is your best bet. Lastly, I don't intend to keep the van for 10 years. |

CAPdan21: This...Izzou was talking about buying 120k worth of fuel a month for a person that uses Camry 2012 for personal use in this naija where people add savings of 2 years, Cooperative loans and other disposables in order to afford a car?.. True But you can also agree with me that the owner will use up to 50 litres a month, just commuting to work and back. So how can 40k be an impossibility? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:04pm On Oct 13 |
swiz123: Hmm… That 30 liters of fuel you think is common is someone people’s weekly movement.
That car is an economy car and 500k as a lump sum is still a lot of money to majority of people driving that car and even more expensive cars.
Come to think of it, some uber guys use it. Do you think they can give out 500k yearly as insurance? Everybody's house rent is also a lump sum, but when we divide by 12, we can see it's doable. When I registered my Van, I did a 3rd party, but I was told a Comprehensive was 750k, and I can pay in 2 installments Did I do it? Not yet But it is very doable. That's my point. 40k a month for someone who can cough 10 million in full is not weird |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:48pm On Oct 13 |
swiz123: Majority can’t afford it yes. That car is extremely durable and majority of users buy that car first because of that.
500k a year is effectively more than what you typically spend maintaining that car.
Upcoming hustlers buy it for peace of mind and don’t have enough disposable income to let out 500k for any insurance. So how did they afford to raise 10 million to buy the car? 40,000 naira is basically 30 litres of fuel, if not less. So the person who has 10 million naira car, cannot afford 40,000 fuel in a month. This is what you want to believe? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:47pm On Oct 13 |
BlueRayDick: If you don’t have disposable income , how are you fueling the car sef ? I hope you know that the N40k monthly is less than the cost of half tank of fuel you buy inside the same N10m vehicle ? Exactly 40k is too much, but the same person can fill tank 3 times in a month. 50% of people who can afford a 10 million naira car, can make space for 40k insurance, but that's not a priority for us in Nigeria. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:45pm On Oct 13 |
GloriousGbola: my man
40k a month car insurance and no other bills dey abi?
we have been debating about how far 400k a month can go on this platform - now add 40k /month to it. it may work if the vehicle is commercial and you can simply transfer the cost to clients via billing - but for private owners in this economy? What do you think would be the income of someone who bought a car of 10 million? How much is 40k? 30 litres of fuel/20 litres of Diesel... It's just a matter of preference. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 4:26pm On Oct 13 |
swiz123: What kind of joke is this. 10 million is 2012 Camry if you price like a vulture pricing dead body.
So you think a Camry user can afford 500k for insurance like it’s nothing? That Camry likely won’t take 500k in maintenance a year. 500k a year is 40k a month So someone driving a 2012 car cannot afford 40k a month? |

The calabar part, Will it also be part of the Lagos-Ogun road? Calabar to where? I'm sure you have no idea. We thank Tinubu for making the Lagos -Ogun Coastal Highway a reality. We will soon hear another story on the Sokoto - Badagry expressway. |

raumdeuter: That is not what Umahi said, or will the road suddenly terminate at Ogun
he said from the end of Ondo it will take a bypass to Edo and link th old East-west road
The one being constrcted in calabar also, will that be a called Lagos-Ogun? So what links the road from Ogun to Ondo? Is it Coastal, or regional? And you should be the one telling us what happened to the one in Calabar. Na you tell us say e go meet Lagos own halfway. What part is it meeting it? |

raumdeuter: The road through Ondo into Edo where it joins the East west road. Is that a new road or part of the East west?
Also the part being constructed in calabar to akwaIbom is that also the east west road E be like say you never wake up to the reality The Coastal Road ends at Ogun. What Umahi wants to do now is widen the East West Road by 2 meters since it covers the stretch of the South South states. The East West road starts at Edo. There's no Ondo anymore. The Coastal Road starts from Lagos to Ogun. Shikena |
