The government is not doing anything to stop this nonsense, and that's why it persists. The funny part is that it is very easy to apprehend them: Just drive a flashy car and they will show up. We cannot be shifting the blame to someone who only wanted to watch a match! He should have spent a few hundred thousand naira because e wan watch match. |

If you carry your Bugatti to Akin Adesola or Adeola Odeku after a night of partying. BlueRayDick: Leave them to be messing with the head of people online and those who don't reside in Lagos. They are describing Onikan like it's Ajegunle, Okokomaiko or Ijora Badia.
Instead of condemning the show of shame, they are blaming the victim for driving his luxury vehicle to see a Nigerian league match in a state owned stadium.
I can't imagine Partey, Odoi or Inaki Williams going to see Accra Hearts of Oak match in Accra stadium, get harrased and Ghanaians will be online typing stuff that seem like justifying the show of shame. 🤮🤮🤮 That place is a stadium and he went to watch the match. Abi e for use Okada? This beggi beggi culture that's always rewarded has now graduated into assault and attacks. Onikan in not a low class neighborhood. There was a football match there, and it was the crowd that assaulted Onyekuru.
Which one be Onikan is a low class neighborhood?
Just opposite that stadium is the ECOWAS liason office in Lagos.
There is absolutely not explanation for what happened to him.

Even in the Nigeria you grew up in that was always the case with poor and rough area. BlueRayDick: You think American soldiers and Nigerian soldiers have the same terms of service?......
In the last one to two months I've been seeing social media content of Nigerians and other nationals who joined American army as regular soldiers (not commissioned officers o). They document their journey how they bought their own house for rentals within 2 years of joining the US Army.
How many Nigerian soldiers who are not commissioned officers can buy a property from their legit earnings within 10 years of serving in the military? I mean buying houses with their earnings not proceeds from ekelebe duty, bunkering or any other illegal jobs.
The US Army has quality free Healthcare available to active soldiers. Do you have that in Nigeria?
You see there's a whole lot that can mess up with the mental health of a soldier which is not being addressed in Nigeria. So I don't see why you should be comparing the Nigerian soldiers to their US counterparts Elder wan put you for talk this morning American Soldier compared to a Nigerian soldier ke?? |

TemporaryHansel: Abeg oh. Me I prefer Nigerian police to the useless Nigerian military 💯.
Na who broke Nigerian police dey embarrass, the useless Nigerian military no dey look face. When issues of insecurity arise on our roads, the Soldiers react faster than the Police. An Army Checkpoint is always active 24 hours in a day. As for Police, once the rains start, dem don run enter their hut, or drive off If I give a Soldier 200 naira at a checkpoint, he thanks me gracefully. A policeman will tell me it's small and all that! He can still park me over nothing. Also, a soldier can respect himself compared to the Police. He dresses well even in the bush. Soldiers have their excesses, but they are more diligent and useful to Nigerians than the Police |

Emaprince: Well those are usually soldiers. Uneducated folks. A graduate in the military carries himself with grace.
When I served in 3rd armoured division, the ones clearing the grasses and serving officers, are the ones you see on the road harrasing people.
If you enter the Soldiers mess, you will think you are in the roughest hood in jamaica. Its a risky place for a sane person to be in..cos a small misunderstanding..and a stray bullet might hit you. We were adviced to never go there. So na these kind people go come out and act respectful towards a bloo.dy civillian?
When you enter the officers mess, its calm. You have the bar where a soldier can serve you any drink you want. You sit there and watch PL matches, play snookers. You must be properly dressed. Your Top tucked in...and you wont were slippers or slippon. So people with this level of discipline will not act like rogues outside. I have Soldier friend. Let's call him Sergeant K Anytime I give him a lift, he must intentionally find trouble on the journey. If he's not cussing a Policeman on his own. He's doing one thing or the other just to let people know he's a Soldier No high ranking officer would behave that way. |

BlueRayDick: My mum says this too. She said all the time she's travelled to Ibadan, she always admires how outspoken the drivers there are especially when they see any uniform personnel board their vehicle . The drivers would bend their inner mirror starting at the passengers at the back and would say it loud and clear in Yoruba : " All passengers should come in with their exact fare with no exception. I repeat all passengers should enter with their change o. No be government dey fuel this vehicle o "
She said almost all the time the uniform personnel will always pay without making any fuss. The ones that don't will get embarrassed and cussed at.
It's always a culture shock for her anytime she sees this happen Mostly Lagos oh. I doubt if there are other places it happens And it's because it's a symbiotic relationship (Abi how dem dey talk am? ). The drivers know that they will not pay unnecessary dues if a soldier is in the vehicle. Even when I am carrying my loaded van and I pass Ojo barracks, I love to give soldiers a lift. That's because I won't pay the 1000 naira to Agberos at Mile 2. I rather use the 1k buy Coke and Gala for the soldier sef |

I have noticed that in the military, the higher the rank, the more responsible they are.
The lower the rank, the more likely they misbehave.
Not in all cases though.
If you see a soldier beating up someone or rough handling them, him rank dey low. |

Jamiuokolaa: Hehe
Maybe because transport too cost for lagos Nope It's more like a Win-Win situation for both the soldier and the driver. When a driver picks a soldier or any officer, he is exempted from paying Agbero levies and all that. In turn, he doesn't collect the fare from the soldier. That's why |

GloriousGbola: One of the unpleasant legacies of military rule is that soldiers have become accustomed to not paying for services
A soldier will enter a bus and not pay Military is owing discos billions and they can't disconnect them
I was at ekedc for a meeting and soldiers came in to beat up the executives because they had been disconnected
If you have a military contract and you don't have a solid connect they will not pay you and na so e go be.
It has nothing to do with their pay and everything to do with an overbloated sense of entitlement. Not really true. It's mostly in Lagos we see that. In other states, A soldier pays his transport fare! |

GloriousGbola: You work on corporate at exec level
I know you have sat through negotiations for service level agreements or projects
So there is no way you are not privy to situations like this.
When a project is negotiated with cement at n8k per bag and cement is now 13k per bag
Where you reach a point where the service provider refuses to continue because they are running at a persistent loss.
I used to buy water for domestic use. In six months the money went from 2000 per trip (2000 litres) to 10000 per trip. Today I pay n 30000 for a full tanker of water if I have to buy. Because the trucks run on diesel and the facility that sells the water runs on diesel.
Izzou can tell you how it goes when he gets job and price of diesel goes up without warning. Yes, fluctuating Diesel prices can affect any agreement. But I feel it's beyond the Diesel. Most of these PSP trucks are dilapidated. And they cannot handle the stress of working day by day. And getting a new or Tokunboh is more than 50 million. I believe Diesel costs is still negligible compared to rising spare parts. In summary, the partnership is not lucrative, and that's why there are less active players in the game |

Ibime: Relying on EFCC conviction as evidence of guilt makes Obi no different to Tinubu, Wike or any of the other thieves.
Nobody convicted Ganduje of stuffing $400k in his Babariga, and nobody convicted Obi of stuffing $1.7m.in his car boot.
Shikena Ganduje stuffed dollars at a time when his party was in charge of EFCC...They still are But you want to convince me that APC won't have dug out Obi's stuffing if they had proof. You are supposed to be our EFCC Chairman. Olukoyede is not serious, to be honest |

You wouldn't understand.
Why use banks and pay all those pesky charges and leave paper trail when you can pay directly, save money have have no transaction record?
It is election season. Let everyone wear their toga with conviction.
Also I am sure you have noticed Soludo is going for a gradual release of information Have you seen the recent flood pictures from Anambra today? Let him continue releasing. The one he released this morning turned out to be lie. You're circulating a memo of April 2006 as a proof that Obi owned 42 months salary, when the man was sworn in March 2006 |

Soludo is not EFCC. He can only stick within his remit of budgets, not accusation of attempted theft which is a criminal matter
Why should APGA HOA clearance mean anything to me. Thats like Rivers HOA clearing Wike of something. Na same gang. So why has the EFCC not accused him? Or is that an APGA anti graft agency too? His successor is wanted for 4 billion, and is chilling in the US till today. Why hasn't the EFCC interrogated him on this? What are you seeing, that EFCC isn't seeing yet? |

The Police Commissioner forced Obis aide to pay the money into the State treasury, reasoning that if that was the intended purpose, then why bring it in cash to Peter Obis company, and no contractor was found for which the money was purportedly intended
That the APGA HOA cleared it means nothing So what means something to you? Well, I am quite sure Soludo, who has more access to us would have presented this if it wasn't worth next to nothing. |
