raumdeuter: You are the ones carrying the news while I am waiting to hear more of the details
But since you know you can tell us more
1. What happens to the Calabar end that work is ongoing, does it also connect to the East west or there was no Calabar end of the road from begining
So if you say this is Lagos -Ogun, Do you also tag the other side Calabar-Akwa Ibom road
How many Kilometers of road end up being completed vs how much was initially planned
The road that diverts at the end of Ondo into Edo will also pass through areas and provide the alternatives to commuters The road that diverts into Edo, is joining the East West road. East West road has already been existing before APC was born. That's where we pass to the South South Don't come and tell us it is an alternative. |

These guys go collect money just to benefit 2 states. Omo
This robbery pain me guy. Because I know that as folloish as ND leaders are, the people deserve so much better for the fact that they have suffered shege. Tinubu had to wait till he completed the Lagos -Ogun axis. Fixed street lights, and hired Coastal guards, before he remembered that Ondo, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa cannot be done. liveLongNprospa: Guy. This was one very very very expensive lamba, you know how many people lost their homes in the whole land reclaiming process.
Ancestral homes oooo.
All because of tribal/financial fucking greed. Yes ND governors are useless so that means the FG can just run the ND people street?? Any ND person who wants to see and enjoy the Coastal road should go to Ogun state and take pictures I remember that Winhomes saga, and how they have been dragging the matter since. Now, the road ends in Ogun. Tufiakwa |

Theflint1: I still can't believe they would have planned this thing for this outcome...seems so crazily corrupt.
I mean the project could have sold simply on what was feasible, there was merit enough, and they could have gone about it without raising dust.
Omor the nature of this corruption get as e dey Money that would have revived many roads is what they went to waste at the Coastal road Just came back, and I spent 5 hours at Okada. The distance was not even up to 1km Bad roads with trucks breaking down everywhere. |

liveLongNprospa: This has nothing to do with the governors.
The FG did an assessment. The FG signed off on that project. The FG started the project. They finished Lagos ASAP, finished Ogun ASAP and then suddenly the FG realised that oh part of Ondo and bayelsa and delta cannot be worked on because it will cost too much money.
This is after doing an initial Comprehensive Assessment.
God will punish anybody that will tell people in the future in this forum that other people should return to their states when the benefits of this robbery starts pouring into Lagos state account.
Its the blatant way of robbery that is annoying me. Exactly. You cannot tell me this is not deliberate. Finished and completed Lagos and Ogun, then come and tell us that others cannot be done. They should go and join the East West road This one na im we dey call "Carry person Handicap" |

liveLongNprospa: ND people as usual have lost out on this apparently.
To make it worse, FG knew ever since that it was not feasible. Like from the very beginning they knew.
Okay you decide to do white elephant project that we all know is an avenue to steal, make SS states atleast enjoy am, you still removed that one but conveniently left Lagos and Ogun state portion. The Coastal road was the anthem all their governors sang when they defected Coastal road will heal the sick Coastal road will bring stable electricity Ati be be lo. BlueRayDick: It depends on the Dangote arm of business u are talking about tho. I know quite a number of people who carry cement for Dangote Cement and they are independent logistics companies . There’s a reason why Dangote always issue disclaimer when they say “ Dangote truck kills 5 people at Obajana”.
What usually happens in that instant is that a certain “ Jesu Seun enterprise “ is carrying Dangote products out of Obajana cement plant , then the driver crushes a car and 2 bike men . While the truck may have Dangote logo attached , it’s not in the record of fleet of trucks belonging to Dangote logistics .
I agree with you that there’s a company called Dangote transport company, but they don’t even oversee half of trucks carting the Dangote logo . Half? Lol Cement is just one arm of Dangote, and that's the only place you'll see independent contractors, because the demand is high. There's Salt, Sugar, even limestone sef. All these ones na Dangote. He bought 5000 trucks for refinery alone. All na under Dangote. He has the largest fleet of trucks in Nigeria. |

BlueRayDick: Most manufacturing conglomerates in Nigeria like Dangote , Nigerian breweries , Nestle , etc do not carry their products by themselves anymore ; instead they sign contracts with logistics companies like TSL logistics , BHN logistics , GPC energy and logistics ,etc .
The aforementioned logistics companies sign contracts with the manufacture companies undertaking to carry their products for them safely to the customer’s destination . By so doing , the risk that should be on the principal manufacturer is transferred to the logistics company .
It is the headache of the logistics company to hire drivers , ensure they have proper training , ensure they deliver the good to customers with little or no issues in the course of the carriage process . The principal like Dangote , Nestle , NB , NBC , etc have their own logistics department breath down heavily on the neck of the logistics company.
They ensure the logistics company has insurance for all goods carried on behalf of the principal and ensure that the carrier (logistics company ) settles liability to the principal’s customers first before any further story .
Unfortunately , a small logistics company may not be able to meet some of these conditions Dangote carries his goods by himself. He has a company specially for that; Dangote Transport. Multipro Enterprises, the makers of Indomie and Hypo are the owners of BHN. Na BHN dey carry their load Nigerian Bottling Company (CocaCola), are also the owners of AG Leventis. Na those ones dey carry Coke up and down Many of them have mastered the art of separating the Logistics from the Production. But you are correct that many outsource it to others |

swiz123: The mechanic must be an illiterate then. Diesel engines do not need plugs sef as the piston powerful air compression is enough to ignite. Diesel ignites a little stronger than CNG which gives a little less torque which affects a how it picks up speed.
The pressure of fill up has no effect on performance though.
A friend who uses it only complains about long queues which is understandable given the massive difference in price.
If I travel long distance, I will definitely go for it because profit margins will be greatly increased. Lol. You sound like a theory man. It's good Firstly, reliable mechanics for diesel engines are scarce. Maybe they are available for trucks, but for buses and cars? It's a nightmare I have a Sprinter and my Diesel engine is OM642. There's OM651. There's OM654. There's T1N. They all are Diesel, until you have a technical issue, and you'll be jumping from workshop to workshop. Diesel engines are much more than knowing it has powerful air compression. Secondly, refill pressure matters. I entered GIG and I discovered their JET Mover buses use CNG. I was interested and engaged the driver. He was the one that told me that refill pressure affects performance, as the gas will easily burn. We drove into a NIPCO at Benin. They said the refill pressure was low. He immediately drove out and went to buy Petrol and continued his journey. Just do your due diligence when you want to jump into any of the above options oh. What you read and see has more hidden details than reality |

swiz123: If you are into transportation, why aren’t you using CNG? Install at least a two 100L cylinder and take advantage of the CNG station spread across the country.
The only disadvantage from what I have learnt is an insignificant loss in torque. 1) Loss of torque, especially if the refill pressure is low 2) Long queues everywhere. And the moment you install CNG, mechanics become scared to work on your engine. |

chrisooblog: Crazy. I think the fuel regulators should find a way to build schedules for announcing fuel adjustments. I know South Africa usually does a monthly announcement which at least gives business owners relying on fuel time to hedge and adjust. All these price fluctuations is what will make the price of commodities stay high, because people must hedge by all means. What exactly is making diesel high? Petrol is the same, Diesel is high. |

I only knew the Geography of Nigeria from places they told me my trucks broke down, plus numerous sleepless nights and phone call credit to Naija.
Did I tell you I have 2 primary school friends who died from HBP between 2021 and 2023. Both were into logistics.
One of them the wife met him in the morning slumped in rhe living room dead beside his laptop that he uses every night to track his trucks every night instead of sleeping One lesson I have learnt in Nigeria is that you must be involved in any business you decide to enter. I don't mean monitoring it virtually. I mean physically. You must understand the risks, equip yourself with knowledge. Learn and relearn. Anything short of your concentration is going to end in tears |
