Never did any promo.

1st case:
I used them, then I noticed they just debit my account without prior notice, especially for hidden charges.

I eventually decided to do domain transfer to a Nigerian company that year.
I faced hell! It was as if I filed for a divorce in the U.S.

2nd Case:

My web developer in India used GoDaddy for my work, without me knowing.
The domain expired and GoDaddy put it up for auction!

GoDaddy is a rip off honestly.
I have used them twice, the experiences were sour.

Copy you hosting nameserver then link it with your domain name

You will point to your web hosting using DNS records such as IP address, name servers, or A records...et.c most especially it is better to use name servers such as ns1.webhosting.com and ns2.webhosting.com this can be done in your domain panel. Then go to you hosting cpanel to add the domain as addon pointing to the folder where your blog files are.

Yes very easy. As long as you're using a very reliable hosting company.. I changed mine last year and it didn't take long at all

The only thing you can do is to buy a new domain with your new domain choice. Then you will now point to or redirect it to your WebHost having your blog

Also running a Facebook or google ad that targets audience from that particular location could help.

Additionally, you can take advantage of social media. If you know of any university/campus Facebook group, join the group and occasionally tell people about your website
Although be careful how you post your website's link on Facebook.

I advice creating a Facebook page, then share the page link and people who follows your Page can visit your website from your page
