George Lucas did very well introducing the prequels. It answered a whole lot of questions and even threw more light on many Star Wars Characters.

The only really controversial Star Wars movie imho was the last Jedi. Especially the nonsense with Poe. The moment the guy got all those people killed at the beginning of the movie, his arse should have been immediately court martialed. Then all that nonsense on the casino planet. They sha wanted to all but eliminate the resistance.

I honestly want to see where they will go with the rise of Skywalker. Even the title of the movie is kinda corny.
