Christianity EtcRe: India Supports Orphanage Named After TB Joshua In South Sudan by J8520456: 8:43pm On Oct 18, 2019
I know that Nigeria's image internationally has been somewhat dented by the actions of a few unscrupulous individuals - but people like TB Joshua have equally flown the flag of our nation admirably and helped raise Nigeria's profile on the global scene.

God bless the man of God for his heart of love and care - to the extent academic institutions in other nations are being named after him...
Christianity EtcCultist Vomits 'Demonic Cowries' At TB Joshua’s Church!!! by J8520456(op): 3:21pm On Sep 26, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl5ubZZHCzA

A shocking video has emerged on YouTube showing a young Nigerian vomiting three ‘demonic cowries’ during a church service presided over by prominent cleric TB Joshua.

The man, who identified himself as Desmond from Kogi State, Nigeria, subsequently admitted his involvement in a ‘secret cult’ and gave a sordid confession of his nefarious activities.

The clip shows the cultist drinking ‘Living Water’ prayed over by Joshua and subsequently clutching his stomach and vomiting uncontrollably.

Amidst the sputum lies three ‘cowries’ – small white sea-shells – which are known to be major components of ‘witchcraft charms’ and used for divination by traditional ‘witchdoctors’ in West Africa.

“These are the powers I was given – to kill and destroy,”Desmond admits, soaked in sweat and clearly overwhelmed at what had just transpired.

The clip then skips forward to the Kogi-indigene’s subsequent testimony in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) where he exposes chilling details of his past life of crime and sorcery.

“I was 14 years old when I was initiated into a secret cult,” he began, revealing a friend deceived him to join after he was intoxicated with alcohol.

As Desmond grew, so did his wild nature and involvement in delinquency.

“This power would lead me to fight, destroy things, kill and steal – I enjoyed destroying people. We fought each other in the cult over women – using guns, cutlasses, axes. People used us and hired us to carry out evil,” he explained.

Desmond rose to the rank of second-in-command in his own fraternity and began frequenting ‘witch-doctors’ to seek ‘devilish powers’ for protection.

“The charm with these cowries involved a sacrifice for seven days,” he divulged, adding that the ‘spiritualist’ commanded the objects into his body and he didn’t swallow them.

“This cowry is a spirit that directs me – just like a human being… Whenever it said something to me, I would act immediately,” he claimed.

Subsequently, whenever the young man sensed danger – signified by excessive heat within his chest – he would repeat a ‘Yoruba incantation’ and then ‘disappear’.

“I have disappeared and found myself on a tree, in a river or in a market. I would be seeing people but they wouldn’t see me,” he astonishingly claimed, insisting he would be ‘in the spirit’ and temporarily ‘leave the world’.

Desmond asserted he was shot several times ‘during elections’ but the bullets did not penetrate his body, also adding that financial gains from his ‘operations’ were soon squandered.

“We were given a lot of money, a lot of millions to carry out operations – I smoked with it, took drugs, went to clubs and carried prostitutes,” he confessed.

Revealing what led him to seek help in TB Joshua’s church, Desmond revealed his nights were plagued by terrible nightmares.

“Whenever I slept, the people I harmed would come and appear to me in the dream and chase me around,” he said, as foreboding of his impending demise grew steadily stronger.

Entering TB Joshua’s popular Lagos-based church, Desmond said he ‘felt fire’ and began asking God to ‘have mercy’ on him.

“Immediately I drank the Living Water, I felt something running in my stomach. The power that I received was greater than the one in me and I vomited the three cowries,” he candidly revealed.

Ever since the ‘demonic deposits’ came out, Desmond revealed ‘the urge for destruction’ had disappeared and he was sleeping well for the first time since his initiation.

“A lot of prophets tried to deliver me but they couldn’t,” he admitted. “I can see there is power – the power of God is here… My advice to youth out there - there is nothing you gain in a secret cult. You will just waste and destroy your life.”

Desmond’s shocking confession comes on the heels of another cultist making headlines in Nigeria for the cold-blooded killing of multiple women in Port Harcourt.

Gracious David West admitted to murdering 15 women because of ‘the urge to kill’, adding he had unsuccessfully sought deliverance in several churches.

Christianity EtcPort Harcourt Serial Killers Alleged Involvement In Multiple Churches!!! by J8520456(op): 8:48pm On Sep 22, 2019
I'm intrigued as to why there's been no palpable public discourse about the fact the PH serial killer - Gracious David West - admitted he confessed to a Lord's Chosen Pastor he was a killer (and attended their crusade without receiving deliverance), his FB profile says he works for Salvation Ministries and it is claimed he was once rehabilitated and delivered at OPM from his past of armed robbery.

I'm not insinuating a single case should be used to draw damning conclusions on the churches mentioned - but it's evident this young man is definitely under the influence of dark or demonic power. Does that mean the churches did not have the requisite power to deliver him? Or he was delivered and returned to his past? Or he was not genuinely seeking deliverance? Irrespective, it's an interesting angle to look at this shocking case...

Christianity EtcRe: TB Joshua Gives Nigerian Returnees From South Africa N12m! by J8520456(op): 5:52pm On Sep 19, 2019

Indeed. God existed before your fathers. I'm a core Christian and didn't mention any name, lest you incite what I've not try to mean. I quoted scriptures that is the backbone of the Christian faith, do me the honour of debating me using scriptures too and I'll remain silent if I'm wrong..

About pleasing, I can't recall making such demands

FYI, I've been an avid follower of T.B Joshua TV programs since 1993 back with the wooden seats. So think carefully before you respond
Matthew 5:14-16 - “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

1 Peter 2:11-12,15 - "Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation... For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men."

1 Timothy 6:18-19 - "Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life."

The Scripture you reference (Matthew 6:1-4) is speaking on intent and motive - referencing the hypocritical acts of the Pharisees. I cannot judge TBJ's motives in this regard - I simply stated my personal observations that giving at The SCOAN is not always publicised.
Christianity EtcTB Joshua Gives Nigerian Returnees From South Africa N12m! by J8520456(op): 5:18pm On Sep 19, 2019
On 19th September 2019, over 160 of the Nigerians who voluntarily returned from South Africa in the wake of xenophobic violence came to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). They all testified that tensions had significantly reduced after T.B. Joshua’s tearful song ‘Africa Unite’ was released and thanked God for His intervention. They equally acknowledged they had forgiven the perpetrators of the violence and chosen not to respond with revenge after hearing the Word of God on Emmanuel TV.

Prophet TB Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners gave the group the sum of N12,000,000 ($33,500) – with N100,000 given to each adult and the remaining allotted according to the size of the families, as many arrived from South Africa with young children and many had lost their means of livelihood during the recent attacks.

Here are just some of the experiences of the returnees, recounted in their own words:

KEMISOLA LAWAL:
“I lived in South Africa with my husband and three kids for several years without any issues. However, on 2nd September 2019, my husband was called that his entire shop had been burned down. He started crying – because we practically lost everything that day. In the ensuing chaos, he was shot with a rubber bullet in his hand and injured. Two weeks ago, I watched personally when the man of God cried on Emmanuel TV. Since that time, the tension has gone down. We believe God is in control.”

BLESSING EMMANUEL:
“I have two kids who I was struggling to care for and send to school. My husband was shot and killed during a previous xenophobic attack. I own a canteen where I sell Nigerian food but the entire shop was destroyed in the attack. I was very angry but since TB Joshua spoke to us on Emmanuel TV and said we should forgive and not harbor offence, I have forgiven them in Jesus’ name. Since he cried for Africa to unite, the situation has calmed down.”

JOSEPH OKONDU:
“Everything was fine in South Africa but things changed recently. During the xenophobic attack in September, my shop was broken into, looted and then set on fire. My house was also broken into and all the valuables were stolen. Because of fear, I ran away. As you see me now, I only have the clothes on my back. I didn’t bring anything with me from South Africa. Watching Emmanuel TV, I saw Prophet TB Joshua crying for Africa to unite and stop killing each other. Since then, the tension calmed down because when he says something, people listen. He is a very powerful, prayerful person. We are here for him to pray for us.”

UBAH OKECHUKWU STANLEY:
“I am a businessman from Imo State. I don’t want to call this xenophobia – I would say some misguided individuals are using this opportunity to loot and take advantage of people, especially foreigners. Several weeks ago, youths were going from home to home, mostly where foreigners were living. They would break in and loot everything. Some unlucky to be there were attacked. Because of this, I was homeless, sleeping on the streets for several weeks. I didn’t even take a shower for over two weeks or change my clothes. Some of us ran into the bush in fear of our lives.

“When I saw Prophet TB Joshua compose and sing the song ‘Africa Unite’, I saw him in tears for the first time in my life. I saw a message of hope, peace, forgiveness and tolerance. Before that song, there was anger within the Nigerian community. We were sending messages back to Nigeria, sharing horrible videos and calling on our people to revenge the attacks. But after that song, I was delivered from that anger, malice, grievances. It was a self-deliverance. I realised our enemy is not the physical appearance but a person without flesh or blood – spirit-beings. The cause of all this is misinformation within the jobless elements but the greatest weapon to fight back with is love. After that song, I experienced calmness in my heart and calmness in the environment we were living in.”

EMMANUEL AMUCHIE:
“I lived in South Africa for eight years – since 2011. It started three weeks ago – they were looting our businesses, our shops. My little shop was destroyed. I even learned that three men with guns came looking for me. I lost everything. We watched on Emmanuel TV and were so proud of our prophet when we saw him saying, ‘Africa Unite’. We were all crying with him. When we learned a plane would repatriate willing Nigerians, we said, ‘Let us use this opportunity to come home and then to see the man of God; he is a father of all nations.’

JEFFREY AGOWA:
“I lived four years in South Africa; I married a South African and we had two kids. I am a car-dealer. During these attacks, the shop where I had my cars was burned down. More than 10 cars were completely burned in that shop. The salon next to it was also burned. That’s how I decided to return to Nigeria with the Air Peace flight.”

PRECIOUS ‘JOY-OVERFLOW’ TIMOTHY
“My personal experience is that I went to South Africa to shoot a musical video as an upcoming Gospel artist. During the attack, my husband was seriously injured; he had a bloodied wound on his head. I saw the brutality, anger and hatred but I realise the people perpetrating this are hoodlums, vagabonds and street boys – it does not represent the real South Africa. It was sad to see Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Malawians, Ethiopians running for their lives. We were thankful that Chief Allen Onyema sent a plane to South Africa to rescue us.

“Whilst in South Africa, I saw the man of God weeping on Emmanuel TV. This cry did not go in vain! After the cry, I saw peace on the streets of South Africa. Even South Africans came out and held a peace rally and apologised for what happened. TB Joshua saw what was going, went on his knees and cried unto God. God heard our prayers!”

After receiving the financial assistance, all the returnees were filled with gratitude to God, acknowledging that they never expected to receive such support and thanking God for using TB Joshua to help them restart their lives back in Nigeria.

As TB Joshua said when answering the question on why he shed tears: “What we don’t know is that if we reject people on account of the bad ones among them, we also reject the good ones.”

PoliticsAfrica Unite: TB Joshua’s Tearful Song Goes VIRAL! by J8520456(op): 6:05pm On Sep 10, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To-u-_xmjEw

TB Joshua’s emotional song calling for African unity has gone viral, ratcheting up over 700,000 views on social media in under two days.

The Nigerian cleric, who penned the lyrics in the in the wake of the recent eruption of xenophobic violence in South Africa, was visibly moved and shed tears as the song was played during his church service on Sunday 8th September 2019.

The song clearly struck a nerve with thousands commenting that the composition made them equally emotional and echoing Joshua’s call for African unity.

The simple melody calls on Africans to avoid violence, overlook differences and embrace peace.

According to the lyrics: “The South cannot do it alone. The West cannot go it alone. The East cannot do it alone. The North cannot go it alone. We need each other; we need one another to grow. Africa unite.”

Joshua also called on all parties involved to respect and uphold the law. “See the killing over drug misuse. See the fight over joblessness among the youth. Where is the law?”

The song concludes with a plea for Africans to ensure fellow citizens of their continent do not ‘feel unwelcome’.

Remi Sonaiya, a former Nigerian Presidential candidate, was among those to react on Twitter after watching the song replayed on Emmanuel TV.

“It was rather moving and many in the congregation were in tears. May the prayers be answered. Killing and looting aren't the solution to our problems. Good governance is,” she wrote.

On Emmanuel TV’s official YouTube Channel, the song has recorded over 300,000 views with another 400,000 watching the clip uploaded to Joshua’s verified Facebook account.

Christianity EtcI Repent For Criticizing TB Joshua, Other Ministers – Reno Omokri Opens Up by J8520456(op): 9:53pm On Sep 09, 2019
A few days after declaring he wanted nothing to do with T.B. Joshua or anyone associated with him, Reno Omokri has repented for his words and vowed to “no longer publicly criticise a minister or church”.

Omokri, an adviser to former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and frontline critic of Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, made the admission on his multiple social media accounts.

“An imperfect church is better than not going to church. Based on my introspection, I will no longer publicly criticise a minister or church that I have access to privately. In fact, I should never have done that,” Omokri wrote.

“Love is greater than judgment. Judgment is for God and not Reno Omokri… I was wrong. I sinned. I repent,” he continued.

Omokri faced backlash last week after responding to a question by one of his followers about the legitimacy of prominent Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua.

“I generally want nothing to do with him and I will have nothing to do with anyone connected to him,” Reno responded.

His new statement marks a reversal to his policy of posting often-controversial social media messages targeting church doctrines or ministers.

Omokri, who also claims he is a pastor, equally made headlines months earlier for sensationally claiming Jesus was not actually God.

Christianity EtcTB Joshua Reacts To Xenophobic Attacks In South Africa by J8520456(op): 7:46pm On Sep 03, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCxghqo3FYc

With the sudden spate of xenophobic attacks ravaging South Africa, what is God saying to Africa as a continent at this time of tension and division?

"No African country can succeed alone. Africans need each other to develop. For example: West Africa needs Southern Africa and Southern Africa needs West Africa to develop. North Africa needs East Africa and East Africa needs North Africa to develop. Indeed, we are indispensable to each other; we cannot do without each other. No one is self-sufficient.

Dear Africans, we should not let other fellow Africans feel unwelcome to our countries. Everyone has a contribution to make. Whether you are poor, rich, immigrant or refugee – you have a contribution to make.

With regard to issues of illegal immigrants, drugs and other crimes, our duty is to work with the law enforcement agencies by giving them useful information. It is only when these agencies fail that we can lawfully protest.

Africa has neglected her youths. Africa has abandoned the youths to themselves. Africa has failed to make provision for the youths, whereas tomorrow’s Africa is the youths.

I speak calmness to my nation, South Africa, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!" - T.B. Joshua

I am not surprised that Reno Omokri made such a statement about TB Joshua. He recently said Jesus is NOT the Son of God and Christians should stop praying in the name of Jesus - https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/08/13/jesus-is-not-god-bible-is-different-from-scriptures-reno-omokri/

Since TB Joshua is doing miracles in Jesus' name and proving the reality of Jesus in an unbelieving generation - that's why Reno doesn't want to have 'anything to do with him'.
Christianity EtcTB Joshua Pulls Chinese Crowd To Nigeria!!! by J8520456(op): 4:58pm On Aug 30, 2019
Christians from as far afield as China have trudged in their numbers to Nigeria in search of “miracles” through the ministry of Pastor T.B. Joshua.

Despite recent reports highlighting the suppression of Christianity in Communist China, it has not deterred large groups of Chinese citizens embarking on religious tourism to Joshua’s popular Lagos-based church, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations.

On August 25, 2019 during Joshua’s church service broadcast on Emmanuel TV – YouTube’s most watched Christian ministry network with over 500 million individual views – more than 150 Asian worshippers could be seen in the midst of the multicultural crowd.

A Chinese citizen, Shou Qiang, shared a testimony that he was “delivered” from a “suicidal spirit” following Joshua’s prophecy and prayers.

Accompanied by his wife and young daughter, Qiang admitted he had almost committed suicide on three occasions prior to his visit to Nigeria but that after his “miracle”, he no longer nursed such “demonic” tendencies.

“I feel very free and calm in my heart; I am totally delivered,” he divulged in his testimony subsequently uploaded to YouTube, adding that he now intends to “share the good news” with his fellow Chinese citizens.

Recent months have seen a spike in Chinese visitors to Nigeria for the purpose of pilgrimage to Joshua’s church, with groups equally arriving from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea and Singapore.

Tourism experts estimate religious tourism contributes over 3 per cent of Nigeria’s GDP, and official figures indicate visitors to The SCOAN account for 60 per cent of foreigners entering the nation.

According to Wikipedia, the two nations have a rich history of bilateral relations and China is considered one of Nigeria’s most important trading and export partners.

Christianity EtcOPINION: Pastor Bakare Speaks On Fake Prophecy Despite His Own Prophetic Failure by J8520456(op): 6:00pm On Jul 24, 2019
*I just read the below on Facebook...

According to a report in Sahara Reporters, the Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, says many Nigerian pastors get away with fake prophecies because their members fail to challenge them when the prophecies don’t come true.

Whilst his assertion remains true, I think it pertinent to note that Bakare is not in the best position to give tips of the prophetic - given his own record of wrong predictions.

In October 2006, Bakare said - according to an article in Punch Newspaper - “Let me tell you the truth by the Spirit of God, neither (President Olusegun Obasanjo), OBJ, Atiku (Abubakar), IBB and this tall one, (Muhammadu) Buhari are part of the new. They are part of the old that is decaying. That old one is passing away. The new is emerging and these ones are not part of that new.’ “

Intriguingly, he was a Vice Presidential candidate to Buhari in 2011 and the 'old' now rests atop the seat of power in Nigeria.

Further back in March 1999, Bakare prophesied President Olusegun Obasanjo's impending death.

"In a vision, I eavesdropped on the conversation going on in the Heaven. I saw Jesus on the throne called the seat of the Governor and the subject they were discussing was Nigeria. This was what came out of the lips of the Lord: 'Obasanjo is not your messiah. He is King Agag and the prophetic axe will fall upon his head before May 29.' "

OBJ, as we all know, ruled Nigeria for two terms - even trying to take the reins on a third occasion - and is still alive and still making public commentary on Nigeria currently.

My point is very simply this - I don't think Bakare should pick such a topic in his sermons as it only highlight his own past prophetic failings.

Christianity EtcPUNCH - Female Redeemed Members Protest AGAINST Adeboye At CAN!!! by J8520456(op): 2:06pm On Jul 19, 2019
A group of women on Thursday called on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to break his silence on the killings in the country.

The protesters stormed the National Christian Centre, venue of the 11th General Assembly of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja, to register their displeasure with Adeboye’s decision to keep sealed lips over the killings.

They also submitted a protest letter at CAN secretariat.

But CAN said it would investigate their grievances, but exonerated Adeboye, saying its President, Supo Ayokunle, speaks for Christians.

The women were received by CAN Director (National Issues and Social Welfare), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, and Vice-Chairman (Northern Region), Rev Joseph Hayab.

Spokeswoman for the group, Juliet Ibrahim, who said she is a member of the RCCG in Nyanya parish of Abuja, said Adeboye should fight for Christians.

She said, “We are here fighting for the survival of our country. We are in pain; we are in sorrow over the killings and devastating things happening to our children.

“We want Adeboye to speak out; we want him to fight for us; we want to hear from him. If we hear from him, we will be calm. We are happy that CAN has spoken and they (0fficials) have encouraged us and we appreciate their encouragement.”

But Adegbite said, “There is no division in CAN; we are one body standing together because united we stand, divided we fall. So we are not going to be divided. Don’t allow anybody to deceive you because what we are doing today (CAN General Assembly) is to the glory of God and you are part of that celebration.”

Asked if CAN would investigate the issues raised about Adeboye, he said, “We are going to do everything. But we cannot suspend Adeboye”.

Hayab said the constitution did not confer on Adeboye the legitimacy to speak for Christians in Nigeria.

He said, “You see, we are trying to avoid the politicisation of the issue of religion. Adeboye is a leader of a denomination. Has he offended the denomination? There is no constitution of Nigeria which says that Adeboye as the leader of a denomination should speak for Christians.

“The constitution of CAN says the President of CAN should speak for CAN and the man, out of respect, has said that when the President of CAN speaks, he can’t speak again.

“If the President of Nigeria speaks, the SGF (Secretary to the Government of the Federation) will not speak again; the Chief of Staff will not speak again.”

Of course South Africa is praying but by His grace through His anointed prophet TB Joshua, we can be positioned for God's favour and mercy.

Christianity Etc"How I Was Paid Money To Accuse Tb Joshua Of Rape" - Shocking Revelation by J8520456(op): 3:27pm On Jul 08, 2019
The accusation of sexual misconduct against prominent Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua has taken a new twist with the admission of the lady involved that she was paid money to smear the name of the cleric.

According to the Nigerian online portal The Pointer News, Vicki Royce, an upcoming singer based in Lagos State, confessed that “she was paid to carry out the evil act” of accusing Joshua of rape and experienced a mental breakdown ever since her name was embroiled in the scandal.

It would be recalled that shortly after the COZA rape scandal erupted, multiple Nigerian blogs carried the news alleging Royce was raped by Joshua in 2012, even though she didn’t specifically mention his name in the tweets where she recounted the purported assault.

Several days later, Royce retorted online that Joshua was not the one who abused her, although the story of his sordid involvement had already spread in the Nigerian social media sphere.

"I beg of you! I was paid to accuse you of rape,” Vicki is quoted as saying to Joshua after she was spotted deliriously ‘roaming’ the streets. “Pray for me so that I can get better."

The news comes on the heels of a viral video showcasing another prominent accuser of Joshua, Bisola Johnson, confessing to her own mental instability years earlier in Joshua’s church and ‘begging’ for his help.

It is not the first account of Joshua’s critics being paid to accuse him. A video on YouTube detailing an ex-militant’s confession that he was recruited by a Nigerian church to badmouth Joshua in public crusades in exchange for monetary incentives has been viewed 200,000 times.

The cleric, who is known for his calm mien despite the numerous attacks levelled at him, has described his ‘haters’ as providing free advertisement for his ministry.

“Let people advertise you. Don’t fight back. If truly you are genuine, whatever people say about you – whether they condemn you or spoil your name – it is for your good. If truly you are sent by God, it will turn around to favour you,” he said.

Christianity EtcViral Video: TB Joshua Refuses To Collect Offering In UK Stadium!!! by J8520456(op):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IpU_8KBMB0

The church called it “the largest church offering never collected”. It was a spectacular moment. The prestigious FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, UK, was packed to the brim. Congregants had raised their offerings to glorify the almighty God, and were ready to hand them over to the church. But unknown to them, Prophet T.B. Joshua, who was not present, had directed they should go to their neighbors in need.

It was all captured in a now viral YouTube video from the unconventional Nigerian prophet, T.B. Joshua.

The day was June 1, 2019, when more than 15,000 people gathered in the prestigious FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, UK, for an event dubbed the ‘Emmanuel TV UK Revival’.

In events of such nature, it is customary for attendees to pay a ticket fee and for the minister to also announce an offering – oftentimes more than once – in order to accrue financial support.

Joshua, however, broke the protocol. Although he was not physically present at the event, one of his ministers asked all present at the packed-out indoor stadium to rise in anticipation of a large-scale offering.

“It is true there is need for your offering here,” he said, adding that such acts did have Biblical backing.“But there are some of your neighbours who need this offering more than we do.”

To the bewilderment of the multinational congregants, he then asked everyone to rather use their intended offering to help a neighbour in need, stressing that such love should not be discriminatory but freely rendered to all “irrespective of religion, race, background or ethnicity.”

“See your contribution to others daily as an assignment from God… God measures our lives by our love for our neighbour,” he stressed, in a sermon titled ‘The Core Of God’s Message To Mankind’. “We are what we do, not only what we say – so match your actions with your words.”

The event, held at one of the UK’s primary sport and entertainment arenas, was free-entry – the first time in the venue’s history for organisers to make such a rare move.

“If you pay a fee to enter the event today, whatever you claim to receive is not from the love of God because healing, deliverance and miracles cannot be exchanged with whatever,” the minister from The SCOAN emphasised, as overflow crowds swarmed outside.

If, he added, any attendee still wished to provide support to the ministry, that decision should be“carefully examined in the light of God’s Word because love is a relationship” and not simply offered because of attendance at the event.

“Let it come from your heart,” he pointedly told the sombre audience – many of whom had travelled from as far as the Americas, Asia and Australia to participate.

The uncommon message, coupled with the remarkable miracles that unfolded thereafter, elicited lots of reactions on social media.

“I have NEVER seen a pastor refuse to collect an offering, most especially one in such a large event in a country like England, which would probably bring in millions,”Phil, a British attendee at the event, reflected on Instagram.

“For all pastors who act like businessmen in the ministry and preach more about prosperity than salvation, this is a big wake-up call,”Judith opined on Facebook, lamenting the intertwining of ministry and money-making which has led to scepticism and cynicism towards evangelical Christianity in many quarters.

The ‘revival’, streamed live on YouTube and Facebook, has already been viewed by over 250,000 people.

Joshua’s next meeting is scheduled for Nazareth, Israel – the historic hometown of Jesus Christ – on June 23rd and 24th 2019.

Christianity EtcT.B. Joshua, World’s ‘most Powerful Minister’ — American by J8520456(op): 5:35pm On May 20, 2019
An American has described Nigerian Pastor and Founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua, as the “most powerful” Minister of God in the world.

Despite the fact that Joshua is still viewed with animosity and suspicion within the fold of much of Nigeria’s Christian leaders, the cleric continues to receive accolades and acclaim abroad.

“If you don’t know who T.B. Joshua is, you are missing out on the ministry of possibly the most powerful minister to this earth since the days of Jesus Christ,” wrote Leah Hanrahan, an American Christian, on Facebook.

Citing Jesus’ statement in John 14:12 that “greater works” awaited believers, Hanrahan, who lives in Michigan, asserted: “This is fulfilled here in TB Joshua’s ministry.”

The American’s sentiments are echoed in the turnout to the cleric’s foreign crusades, with national stadiums packed by excited locals at each destination he visits, primarily South America and Asia.

Most of Joshua’s weekly congregants are made up of foreigners whose pilgrimage to SCOAN have made it the most visited destination for religious tourists in West Africa.

The popularity of Joshua’s videos online has resulted in Emmanuel TV becoming the world’s most viewed Christian television station on YouTube, with each video translated in multiple languages to reach his teeming followers overseas.

An Emmanuel TV event is scheduled to be held in the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, UK on June 1, 2019, a 12,000-seater venue usually reserved only for musical or sporting events, further highlighting Joshua’s popularity abroad.

Indeed, if ever the Biblical adage: “A prophet is without honour in his own nation,” applies to an individual, the SCOAN Founder may be the apt case-study.

CrimeRepentant Thief Returns Stolen Phone After TB Joshua Prayer!!! by J8520456(op): 5:58pm On Apr 03, 2019
A Nigerian man has claimed prayer with T.B. Joshua caused a thief to return his stolen phone in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

In a testimony shared on Facebook, Patrick Odiong wrote, “My Android phone was stolen from my car in the traffic in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria, on my way travelling home to Calabar, Cross Rivers State.”

According to Odiong, who works as a manager in the oil industry, “When I discovered my handset was missing, I immediately began to pray.”

He then placed the ‘Good Morning Anointing Sticker’ from The SCOAN on the exact spot where the phone had been kept in the car. “I prayed, ‘Oh God of Prophet TB Joshua, arrest the heart of this thief and return my phone to me!’ ”

In a shocking turn of events, the repentant thief called him on his other number four days later, stating that his heart had been disturbed ever since the theft.

“He asked me to text him my address and said he was going to return my phone to me. I sent him my office address, where I was at the time and he promptly brought my phone back to me and begged me not to arrest him and to help him with transport money back to his place.”

Odiong said he provided transport money to the young man, adding that the incident significantly strengthened his faith in God’s power and protection.

The testimony was one of many shared on Joshua’s Facebook page, including a Kenyan lady in France who stated her entire family experienced breakthrough after using T.B. Joshua’s ‘Morning Water’, a Namibian healed of heart disease after praying along with Joshua and a Malawian CEO delivered from alcohol addiction through Emmanuel TV after vomiting a 'green liquid'.

Popular Nigerian cleric, T.B. Joshua, has released an ‘anointed song’ with many people taking to social media to share instant ‘testimonies’ after hearing it.

Joshua composed a song titled, ‘Sin’s Power Over Me Is Broken’, which has been well-received by his teeming followers worldwide and viewed almost 100,000 times on YouTube within days.

“You can use it as a prayer,” he told congregants at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). “You can also meditate on this while you are about to sleep.”

After its release, many have shared testimony about the impact of the ‘anointed song’ in their lives.

“I went to sleep last night with this song,” wrote Stacy Faith Patrice on Facebook, who stated she saw herself receiving prayer from T.B. Joshua in her dream upon which she vomited many “white stones.”

After waking up, Patrice stated that the tonsil problems that plagued her and her family had miraculously disappeared.

“I sang this song since Sunday and I just saw my menstruation which had ceased,” testified Mabongi from South Africa.

According to Tawona Chirambo, whilst singing the song, “I suddenly started vomiting something like blood” after which she discovered the strange pains in her stomach had gone.

Raymond Nkonosawa from Malawi stated he “sensed power touching me” as he sang the song on Emmanuel TV. “I started experiencing a drastic change in my marriage and finances - I made the biggest sale in my business the next day,” he wrote.

A Zambian named Bwembya Kopulande stated, “I have been singing this song since Sunday and I just received a message that what I was waiting for has been granted me at my work place!”

Lizette Tume wrote in a YouTube comment that she sang the song before sleeping. “When a masquerade was coming to chase me, I started singing the song in my dream and I couldn't see them again,” she wrote.

Cikizwa Mabaso from Cape Town, South Africa testified that she received healing from severe leg pain after falling asleep whilst listening to the song on YouTube.

According to her, she saw Joshua praying with her in a dream. “When I woke up, my leg was healed. I received my deliverance through this amazing song,” she joyfully stated.

Memory from UK said career breakthrough came her way after she sang the song. “The whole week I have been singing the song and now I was given a new contract at my workplace,” she wrote.

Didinho Ketshotseng from Botswana wrote that he was singing the song during his examinations in the Department of Road and Safety. “I was singing this song until I finished the exam and I passed,” he stated on Facebook.

Voni Pataka, a South African, admitted that he would sleep with women in his dreams but “since this song was introduced to us,” he has not had such an experience.

Alicia Enrique wrote, “I had a very sharp pain in my abdomen, so when I was sleeping I started singing this song in my dreams. I was sweating and I could feel the pain moving out of my feet. I am healed right now!”

Christianity EtcT.B. Joshua Runs Away From Woman Tormented By Ghosts!!! by J8520456(op): 1:22pm On Mar 05, 2019
Prophet T.B. Joshua shocked his followers when he ran away from a lady who was seeing dead people.

The woman, according to a clip posted on the official YouTube channel of T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), started seeing dead people soon after the death of her child.

Her interactions with ‘the dead’ had dire consequences as life began slowly ebbing away from her. She claimed that the ghosts would follow up and even join her for meals. Her child was also one of the ghosts who would torment her with nightmares.

After prophetically calling her out for deliverance, the woman fell before T.B. Joshua as a worshiping curtsy to the televangelist for her deliverance.

However, T.B. Joshua humbly skidded away from the woman who was lying down before kneeling a few yards away from her. In the process, T.B. Joshua can be heard declaring that the prophecy and deliverance were from Jesus and that Him alone deserves worshiping.

After being prayed for, the woman claimed the ghosts had stopped tormenting her.

Christianity EtcWhy I Respect TB Joshua – Grace Mugabe’s Ex-husband by J8520456(op): 7:09pm On Feb 26, 2019
Stanley Goreraza, an officer in Zimbabwe’s Air Force and the first husband of Zimbabwe’s former first lady Grace Mugabe, has publicly lauded Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua.

“The main reason I have the utmost respect for T.B. Joshua is not because he, by God's power, has performed veritable miracles of healing and countless prophecies, all which gained the attention of some of the top Itelligence agencies in the world, but because his teaching and messages fit into the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” wrote Goreraza, who worked for many years in China as a defence attaché, on his Facebook page.

The Zimbabwean, currently based in India, continued that Joshua “attended no seminary school, has no schooling in theology, yet not one Evangelist, Apostle or Pastor is in his league”.

Goreraza termed the Nigerian cleric “the most imitated man of God in Africa”yet equally“the most envied and hated by other clerics”.

“They try but fail to be like him because he genuinely is humble and genuinely loves and knows God,” the pilot continued, adding that Joshua was “not pictured flaunting wealth in expensive cars and private jets”.

The Zimbabwean acknowledged that many in Zimbabwe “use his name to lure followers” by “claiming to be his spiritual sons” but the Nigerian always redirected people to God as the title of ‘spiritual father’ “belongs to God”.

“He does not encourage people to pursue riches but a life without sin so that they can be candidates of Heaven,” Goreraza further asserted, adding that Joshua “never asks for money from people through endless seeding” but “actually gives money to those in need”.

The controversial air-force officer concluded by reminding readers that Joshua was the first to introduce “anointed water” which was freely given to congregants. “Everyone else followed suit and produced ‘anointed’ items from oil to condoms, but for a price,” he surmised.

Stanley Goreraza is a prolific social media commentator, especially on Zimbabwean political affairs, and commands a sizeable following on Facebook. He made headlines when he accused Zimbabwe's former President Robert Mugabe of 'stealing' his wife.

Christianity EtcHow TB Joshua Is Helping Zambia-Nigeria Relations - Zambian High Commissioner by J8520456(op): 4:24pm On Feb 04, 2019
In an interview with Nigeria’s This Day Newspaper, Dr Solomon Jere, the Zambian High Commissioner to Nigeria provided a frank analysis on the impact and importance of religious tourism on bilateral relations between the two nations.

“As we approach the end of the year, you will see a lot of Zambians coming for T.B. Joshua’s programmes,”Jere explained, adding that Zambians constitute a sizeable number of visitors to Nigeria for the purposes of religious tourism.

“I can’t estimate the number coming into Nigeria when it comes to religious tourism… But I must tell you it will run into hundreds of thousands annually,”he admitted.

“On a weekly basis you will see on Emmanuel TV many Zambians proudly waving their national flags during the live televised services conducted by TB Joshua,”he further explained.

“We are looking forward to seeing TB Joshua visit Zambia so that he sees where the faithful are coming from,”he also stated, adding that several other Nigerian megachurches, including Winners Chapel and Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), have established prominent branches in the Southern African nation.

Jere opined that Nigerian men of God were at the forefront of spiritual awakening, especially within Africa. “Zambia is a Christian nation and… we are happy the Zambians are being anointed by the men of God in Nigeria… The men of God from here are not just assets for Nigeria but for all of us. We are just coming here to benefit from this,”he stated in the interview.

Touching on other topics, Jere called on Nigeria to invest more in Zambia, noting the popularity of the Nollywood film industry in his nation. He also lauded the number of Nigerians intermarrying with Zambians, adding this would further help to blossom relations.

The impact of T.B. Joshua’s influence on Nigeria’s international relations was equally highlighted in a heartwarming story published in Nigeria’s Nation Newspaper, detailing a Russian’s journey to Nigeria to visit the acclaimed Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

Svetlana Fedorova from St Petersburg, Russia, said she has visited Nigeria “four times in six years” to attend Joshua’s church, choosing to stay in the home of a Lagos resident on the last two occasions where she felt she had found a “second family” and enjoyed local cuisine.

Fedorova, who volunteered as an interpreter at Christ Embassy’s branch in Russia, said her initial fears about visiting Nigeria were soon allayed by the warm reception she received and the friendliness of the Nigerians she encountered.

Her friend, Anton Aksenenko, stated he would have considered relocating to Nigeria to be close to Joshua’s ministry if not for his family based in Russia.

Official statistics from Nigeria’s immigration services revealed that six out of every ten foreigners in Nigeria visit The SCOAN in Lagos, cementing T.B. Joshua’s image as one of Nigeria’s most lucrative tourist attractions.

PoliticsRe: AirForce Plane 'Very Close' To Collapsed Synagogue Building – Aviation Expert by J8520456: 5:15pm On Feb 01, 2019
"No matter how long a lie is sustained, the truth will someday prevail." - T.B. Joshua

Anyone whose watched the video of that incident will know the circumstances surrounding it were not ordinary. I am no 'expert' but the manner and speed in which the building fell looked like a controlled demolition. The closeness of the plane is another genuine cause for concern.

I hope the court can finally get to the bottom of this. After all, September will make it five years since the incident happened!

NB - this documentary from a South African channel regarding the incident is also well worth a watch:

Christianity EtcHow TB Joshua Prophesied About The Venezuela Coup In 2016!!! by J8520456(op): 3:38pm On Jan 25, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHeiCUrRs2c

International media has been agog with the news of the ‘coup attempt’ and intense political volatility that has engulfed the South American nation of Venezuela in recent days.

On Wednesday 23rdJanuary 2019, Venezuela's National Assembly leader, Juan Guaidó, declared himself as the country's interim leader, a move which current leader Nicolás Maduro angrily declared “a coup”.

International battle lines were quickly drawn as US President Donald Trump quickly recognised Mr Guaidó as the country's authentic head of state alongside several other South American nations, as well as Canada and the UK.

In response, Mr Maduro immediately cut diplomatic ties with America for aiding the ‘coup’. He still maintains military support, as well as enjoying the backing of nations such as Russia, China and Mexico.

However, in faraway Nigeria, Prophet T.B. Joshua had forewarned of the impending coup attempt and its attendant democratic ramifications as far back as May 2016.

In a video released to Emmanuel TV’s YouTube Channel, the Nigerian cleric is heard urging his congregants to pray for Venezuela as he is seeing a “coup” which would affect the “democratic system of government”.

“Venezuela… I’m seeing a coup that will throw away the democratic system of government,” Joshua is heard prophesying in the video dated Sunday May 15th 2016, adding that he was “praying that God should avert it”.

The clip ended with Joshua imploring congregants to remember the nation of Venezuela in their prayers due to the looming timing of the events he prophesied.

Prophet T.B. Joshua is very well known in Latin America, famed for his ‘miracle crusades’ in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay and Dominican Republic which attracted hundreds of thousands attendees.

It's good that these pastors are starting to be honest about what's really going on. TB Joshua has been so unappreciated by our government and our biggest pastors like Adeboye, Oyodepo and the rest. With the way media is portraying Nigeria to the rest of the world we should celebrate the fact that there is someone like TB Joshua that is bringing thousands of tourist into the country, regardless of what religion you are.
