I'm six plus too. Unfortunately I'm below eighty kilos. How tall are you?

Sonoflucifer how tall are you?
What!! shocked shocked shocked

So I have been dissing giants all the while on Nairaland? I'm just lucky that some nairalanders dont know me in real life. I would have been beaten up long time ago. Some silly girl was spying on my phone from behind me on a queue in shoprite 2 days ago while I was browsing nairaland. See how she was stretching neck like an ostrich!

How is it that all these igbo guys are 6ft plus? Johnydon, joshthefirst, muskeeto, slaveEbukasblog etc?

Anyhoo, I'm of average height. I'm taller than most women I meet. But I'm skinny, so I'm shorter than I look.

See why I asked if u just arrived here? Reread your post and see if there's any attack on what you just posted. You guys have said unimaginable things about us. Call us names, we accepted all. We are the reason Africa is backward, we are the reason Nigeria is poor. If Yahweh were Satan, most atheists would ve died in their sleep, but no.
Since I joined NL, atheists have never stopped challenging Yahweh to show himself physically else he doesn't exist.
Today, you are just only challenged to show your work. CHALLENHED, NOT ATTACKED, to present your works, nothing more. Why always hanging on on what Western atheists claim everyday?
African/Nigerian intelligent atheists, pls show your work. How many of you are scientists who have added anything to Africa as a race, or Nigeria as a country. Apart from quoting Westerners and making noise in NL, what can you show for yourselves?
For me, as a deluded Christian, I ministered Christ to a Native doctor who every body in the neighborhood dreaded, he gave his life to christ, destroyed all his artifacts. Changed his dressing, everything, as I speak tomorrow he will go to church by himself, not waiting for someone to take him. He had never been to church, ever before now. Thats work as a delusional. What's your work scientifically?
Just like Buhari kept shouting and calling Jonathan names, now the power is in his hands, show working. That's all we ask. Why shd it be translated to as an attack?
As for Logicboy, I'd rather pay attention to a 10 year old, than him.
I'm suspecting you to be another moniker.

CHINUA ACHEBE, tai solarin and wole.soyinka are.all atheists. Soyinka is more of a traditional philosopher.

Our two greatest literary minds in this country are atheists.

But feel free to be ignorant and keep attacking atheists

Now you are really a dude. A question is posted to u, instead of addressing it, you boasted of your academic prowess, you turn around and throw the question back to me to show you my Academic achievements. Am not an Atheist, and the OP didn't ask the theists to show anything.
I think that's what the Ops demands, show him your achievements and your work/contributions to the African race to improve it.
Very funny little guy. You are under no obligation to prove anything to anybody, but Yahweh is under an obligation to prove his existence to you a high school kid. I can pick u up and flog you with a cane.

Christianity Etc › Re: The Non-Christian Chatbox ( sticky ) by JackBizzle: 6:34pm On Mar 26, 2016
sonOfLucifer:
I don't think it necessarilly follows that an all-powerful God can not be good.

If we are created, we all have a purpose which we must fulfill. Without him, we wouldn't have life in the first place. So we never really 'own' life.. We only get to keep it for a said time as defined by God.

This would mean God's purpose before man's. And thus, only one sharing the same attributes as God would be able to question his judgement or morality. We will be nothing but pencils in the hands of the creator.
It follows.

1) The God in the movie is not a creator. The God there is just a powerful alien. The power that could destroy the planet.
2) Even if we are talking about a creator, does that mean that the creator's morality should supersede the created? Are you arguing that the created should have no rights? If you created/cloned a human being do you have the right to kill it at any time?

Every big robot film has the robot AI trying to kill its "oppressive" creator. Why? By human morality, no powerful God can be good.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Non-Christian Chatbox ( sticky ) by JackBizzle: 5:58pm On Mar 26, 2016
sonOfLucifer:
It depends on what he means by 'all-powerful'. Also, good from whose perspective? The creator's or the created?
It was a recurring theme- superman was just too powerful. Sometimes he destroyed so much while trying to save the people.

So, from the point of humans, god cannot be good considering the power.

From our point of view, god is a monster. A monstrously powerful being.

Perhaps one of these days I will.

What's your take on it though? I understand it got bad reviews. How would you rate it?
grin grin

The movie is not a good film if you expect an exceptional superhero film. The bad reviews are well deserved. There are too many plot-lines and so, the movie just jumps over the place in which scenes are just confusing.

The action is good. The visuals are nice but it just didnt feel anything special.

KingEbukasBlog:
So you deduced or learnt that from a movie and are obdurate that its the absolute truth . Are you kidding me ?

Its just like saying being at the helm of power for too long is dictatorship or impedes the growth of democracy in a country , therefore God who has always been ruling is a dictator . And then wanting leadership to be changed - handed over to someone else - so that system will be anew with fresh ideas . In other words , God cannot be a true and good leader unless he hands power to someone else .

Do you now see how fallacious your argument is
huh Your perception of life should not be used for God - you as a mortal cannot detect what happens in the supernatural world with what is obtained here on earth .
I never argued for a democratic system for celestial beings. Stop throwing strawmen.

The question is- is God good? And the answer is a resounding "NO".

By human morality, an all powerful God can not be good. With great power comes great responsibility. Every person God blesses, there is a person that suffers. If God supports a country in war, the other enemy country suffers.

There is a reason why we dont grant human leaders absolute power.

KingEbukasBlog:
Simply because since its Mr Anony you guys presumed it was a debate between intelligent design and evolution - God creating nature or not .

Its not about the contribution , its about how valid the points raised were . We Christians raised very powerful and cogent points - making visible the misconceptions you have about God , a creator , and dispelling them .

I have seen comments from the atheists like "eternal self existent " , everything being products of consciousness , misconceptions about Nothing , order from randomness and chaos precluding God's existence etc . And your kind still flounder with the concept "something from nothing " - not surprising at all .

So its been intellectually challenging exercise for your crew - the atheists - which we completely understand . Learning is a process , so we expect that you at the right time would realise how ignorant you've been with the belief that there's no God .
Look at the nonsense you typed. undecided

You accuse people of making sophist arguments then make one without any shame .The above is not debatable because God is not hypothetical . If he is this , he can't be that ; If he is that , he can't be this - these are arguments that seem clever but are invalid .
Is God's existence beyond dispute? No.

The argument is a very valid hypothetical one.

Power corrupts and therefore absolute power corrupts. An all powerful God can not be good. So much power is deadly to the weak. Go and watch the movie

I am really disappointed that this thread reached 11 pages. I know that many atheists here miss Anony since he is and was the only nairaland christiian that could manage to make logical arguments but SERIOUSLY?

The ploy of this thread is obvious- to ask a meaningless, vague and abstract question with no answers so that the sophist can twist and dodge then smuggle God into the debate.

What is nature?? Why not ask what is the meaning of life? Or ask- where do we come from?

These questions have no concise answer. One can answer this questions for weeks and will still not reach the end.
