DRealGeesam1: My confession and apology

Dear nairalanders and everyone who have heard of the ebola Prevention "News", My name is Adesewa, I am coming out clean because what started has a joke has escalated into the unprecedented.
How it started
Yesterday i was with friend in her hostel, we were talking about this Ebola out break, when one of my friends, Funke (she introduced me to nairaland) brought the idea of Us playing a prank on our friends. The first suggestion was to tell people that aloe very could cure Ebola, but we thought it would sound too ridiculous so we forgot about it.

Later that even an idea came to me (i now regret that i did it).
I decided to send a BBM broadcast message to my friends, telling them that the Ministry of Health has asked everyone to bathe with salt and warm water and drink some of it.
I sent the message 7:08pm yesterday

Later this midnight i started getting calls and messages that i should drink salt water and bath with it.

All efforts to tell people that i was the one who started the joke failed. Only my friends who i mentioned earlier believed me. Even my mum could me this morning, i did not know what to tell her.

I am using this medium to beg you all to warn and tell everyone, before they drink salt and damage their health.

Please dont be hash on me. I know this has gone out of hand. I never knew it will be this serious. Some have even added to the original message i sent.
It's a good thing you came out clean, however you should know how dangerous your joke is. This joke can kill people with high blood pressure because salt increases their blood pressure. Please ensure you stop what you started and pray your rumour doesn't cause any death.

Christianity EtcRe: I Abandoned Religion And God Today. I'm Free. by jackdaniel(m): 1:25am On Apr 15, 2012
.......nice thread ....however these are my little opinions on these matters
1) If there is a God, God cannot be known; to know God is to be God
2) Religions are flawed; most are born out of Man’s imagination
3) The Universe is made up of laws; the wise explore its loop holes and use it to their advantage.
4) Faith is irrational, but it is a good psychological coping mechanism.
5) Any phenomena that cannot be replicated and verified independently by others should be classified as fiction or pseudoscience at most.
6) Science does not have all the answers; but those it has are genuine and can be replicated.
7) The big banng theory is as lousy as the creationist theory; yet they both agree on one thing, that is, “NOTHING existed before existence”. Maybe God is NOTHING. They are both theories and should be taken as just that, nothing more, nothing less till they can be proved and replicated.
8.)The God’s of religion are anthropomorphic; they usually take the nature of their host community and the human nature of its founder e.g. Angry God, blood thirsty God, loving God, Vengeful God, Randy God etc
9) Fear and Violence are the Historical and present driving forces of most religion; it’s about control and power to Lord the ignorant masses
10) Blind faith is sheer stupidity and an avid mockery of the human intellect, it is spite to the maker of the human mind; be it Deity or Evolutionary forces of chance.
11) One man’s God is another man’s Demon/Devil; the God of the victor is worshiped while the God of the Vanquished is classified as a demon. History shows that today’s God might become tomorrow’s demon. Our local deities are presently referred to as demons, but they where once revered and worshiped as Gods.
12) To base ones believes on eternal damnation or pleasure is just an extended gratification of our human pleasures, greed and fear. E.g why give me gold in the afterlife, why give me many women when I die, why must the afterlife be made up of images of this present life?
13) If a God is real and powerful, he should fight his own battles and leave humans out of it.
Christianity EtcRe: When God Does Not Answer Your Prayers by jackdaniel(m): 8:41am On Sep 17, 2011
Thanks to you all for making me laugh out my lungs. It’s quite interesting when one see’s different views on this subject matter.
It is folly and sheer human arrogance when one wishes to ask for things outside the will or the grand design of the universe. The universe is governed by laws, and whoever or whatever set those laws will not bend even the simplest of them for our petty requests. The only salvation or consolation to the human condition is in “understanding the will or laws of the Universe” and living in accord with it.
It is quite sad that men of science (most of whom are atheist) understand G-d better than some of my religious brethrens. A man of science is interested in understanding the laws of the universe, and adapting them to his own use e.g. flying a rocket; one cannot escape gravity except by creating a greater force or thrust.
It is good to pray; prayers can offer a very good psychological coping mechanism and also as m_nwankwo clearly states, “Thus the basic ingredient in a prayer is that a connection is established”.
However, if one chooses to pray, I believe one should know that his prayer will never change the laws of causality. If one still chooses to pray, one should ask for the strength to cope with his lot on dear old planet earth , and to live in accordance to the divine will and the forces that govern our existence.
Understanding the will and the laws of the universe is the key to a successful prayer. When one has a clear understanding of these laws, you become the answer to your prayers; in fact you will be the performer of your miracles. If you doubt me, ask the men of science or the citizens of more developed societies. The more understanding of the laws one has , the less one needs to pray for petty things; prayer should rather be an avenue in which one's soul creates a connection to the divine.

To be honest, we are all cry babies in times of trouble, even JESUS cried at the garden, so who are we not to, grin
Christianity EtcRe: When God Does Not Answer Your Prayers by jackdaniel(m): 7:25am On Sep 17, 2011
To pray simply means to open ones spirit to the power of God. It is a communion between God the creator and the "breath of life" that is us. Thus the basic ingredient in a prayer is that a connection is established with the power of God. Once that connection is established, then the praying one will be imbued with all that he or she needs to recognize and live according to the laws of God. It is not difficult to establish this connection as some might think. Love for all that is in existence in tandem with purity in our entire being will allow our spirits to once again gain connection with the pulsating power of God that vibrates within and outside of creation.

Once we consciously or unconsciously  (as it happens with most people) gain connection to the power of God, then we begin to sense that there is more to prayer than asking God to grant some of our mundane desires, many of which are borne out of selfishness, ignorance or both. Gradually, a new concept of prayer emerges and this concept of prayer is inextricably linked with worship. By worship, I mean when a human spirit is in perpetual connection with God such that such a spirit is granted the power to live only according to the will of God. This act of living according to the laws of God then imbues the spirit with the ability to attract from out of the powers of God what such a spirit needs for his continual development and purification. More importantly, the spirit becomes aware that his present earthly existence is just  a snapshot of his entire existence  and that billions or trillions of intermingling threads of fate in and around him have there origin in his multifarious past existence both on earth and in other physically invincible planes of God. He also learns that the laws of God are inexorable and that he must reap the consequences of his activities whether they be good or evil. It is only in tasting the fruit of his seeds can he recognize what seeds are bitter and those that are sweet. Of course the power of God which he is now connected with will give him the strength to experience both the bitter and sweet seeds with gratitude. "A gem cannot be polished without friction nor man perfected without trials" but all the friction and trials are brought about by man himself.

God answers prayers or rejects prayers through his laws. If a prayer is not in accordance with his laws, then such a prayer will not even find homogeneity with the power of God, not to talk of being granted. Many of our prayers never make it to the throne of God because they lack love and purity. Thus strange as it may sound, God is not even "aware" of such prayer. Thus the first step to is to ask what is the will of God in whatever circumstances and if we open our spirit we will be shown what his will is.

As long as we are not guided by the power of God, we are bound to err even with very good intentions. Guidance by the power of God permits us to know his will and act accordingly. If one does not recognize the will of God, he will take a wrong path no matter how good are his intentions. And he who is open to this guidance will bear an inner peace irrespective of his earthly circumstances. Thus whether healthy or sick, rich or poor, etc he bears peace within himself for his spirit is conscious of the what, how and why of all his circumstances. Although sometimes he or she may be beset with frustrations, doubts or similar things due to the density of his physical body, the connection with God will imbue him or her with the strength to dispel the shadows. Again for a spiritually awakened, our only prayer will be that God grants us the power to live only according to his will. And once we receive this power we must use it and if we use it, then, miracles upon miracles will follow us. Yet for many of us, the evil we have done in the past are much that before the new life begins to manifest, the consequences of our old sinful past has to be confronted. It is this confrontation that appear to the seekers as trials, bad things but these apparently bad things are necessary for our spiritual transformation into the new life. Sadly though, many of us lack perseverance and weaken to soon. But with calm confidence in the omnipotence of God, we will be able to confront the consequences of our past activities , close the circle and begin our ascent to the luminous gardens of God where only love and purity reigns. Best Wishes.
@M_nwankwo, i am glad you did contribute to this debate; i always pause and ponder @ your insights; you are truely wise. Thank you for sharing. Kind Regards,

Christianity EtcRe: The Evolution Of Yahweh The God Of The Jews. by jackdaniel(m): 3:34pm On Aug 25, 2010
The evolution of Yahweh; Quite interesting. I can't agree less that the concept of the judeochristian deity was borrowed from earlier cultures in the ancient semantic world. In the quest to know the metamorphosis of the deity, I would kindly implore you(majaze) to try and understand the mechanisms that enabled the concept of the deity to thrive and evolve for thousands of years while the concepts of its rival deities are almost delegated to the archives of historical texts.
However, one should not take ancient religious text literally as accurate historical references; would you take the Nigerian folklore stories for their literal representation?
In my own opinion, i do not believe the Jews are fervent monotheist, their religion is more of an hybrid synthesis of monotheism and polytheism.

@ brand-new;, I will break it down with the example of radical Islam; the Koran instigates some to violence, due to there personal interpretation of it's text. In a political correct world the miscreants are blamed and the Koran/Islam exonerated. My question is, when should the crux/source of the problem be blamed, or when should the individual instigated by the institution or text be held accountable; Example 2, in the case of Hitler's Nazi ideology, or the crusades/Inquisitions instigated by Christian Popes/ the" Bibles burn the Witch" policies , the world preferred to place more blame the institutions and not the people who enacted their believes. My question boils down to who should be blamed, the source of the problem or the individual who got motivated by his religion/text/institution, Hope this clarifies my question.

who should be persecuted ? individuals or the institution's that instigates individuals to do social ills.

I have seen so much double standards , e.g in Nazi-Germany, the institution was blamed; in religious

conflicts, individuals are blamed ;in apartheid, the institution was blamed. who should be persecuted?

That trickster things really irks a lot of traditional people. I think generally anthropologists are beginning to annoy them. I remember talking to a babalawo once and we were talking about Esu. He said," Esu is Esu, Not Satan, Not Trickster, Esu is Esu". In other words he was saying that the only way to understand Esu is within the context of Yoruba Thought in which he has arisen and not be casting him in the light of other cultures or thought systems.

However I think that today, on the day of his death, it is worth our while to read up on this Great, though flawed, Intellect of our modern age. His work will help many of those trying to come to terms with religion to better understand what they are up against.
Very enlightening , I can't agree less . Same goes with ekwensu in the igbo tradition; always taken out of the context of its domain. But yet, one should not underestimate the importance of analogy, without which one cannot see the whole picture. Objects might not share equality but they may be equivalent.

When the rich dabble into the occult it inspires awe in the society, but the poor they torture to death; any way it's not new, the witches burnt in medieval Europe would serve as a classic example; while the Lords, Dukes,  royalties et al were deep patrons of the occult, albeit they always dinned with the Religious leaders. Christianity EtcThe Real Genesis: As It Was. by jackdaniel(op): 1:40am On Sep 16, 2009
THE REAL GENESIS. grin
1: In the beginning Man named the heaven and the earth.
2: And the earth was without war, and violence; and balance was upon the face of the third sphere from the Sun. And the Spirits of Life moved in pure symmetry and harmonics.
3: And Man said, Let there be calibrated Time: and there was the shadow stick.
4: And Man saw the Calibration, that it was good: and Man divided the light from the darkness in human time.
5: And Man called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first era of his madness.
6: And Man said, Let there be a firmament in the seas, streams and lakes, and let it divide the waters from the waters with dams and artificial hills.
7: And Man created the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8: And Man called the firmaments agricultural advancements. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9: And Man said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10: And Man called the dry land Farms; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and Man saw that it was good.
11: And Man said, Let the earth bring forth crops at my demands, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12: And the earth brought forth crops, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and Man saw that it was good, because he now has more than enough.
13: And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14: And Man said, Let the heavens and the solar systems be mapped and calibrated; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15: And let there be festivals on earth in alignment with the firmament of the heavens; and unto them we shall assign special occasions upon the earth: and it was so.
16: And Man created two great festival lights; the greater festival light to rule the hotter part of the year, and the lesser festival light to rule the colder seasons: he made festivals for the stars also.
17: And Man set the feasts of the firmament of the heaven to give injunctions and statutes upon the earth,
18: And to rule over the affairs of all, and to divide the moment from the cycles: and Man saw that it was good in his sight.
19: And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20: And Man said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly and lets consume the creature that hath life (blood), and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open sky shall also be consumed.
21: And Man consumed great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and man saw that it was good.
22: And Man destroyed the balance, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth for i am the consumer and the destroyer of Gaia.
23: And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24: And Man said, Lets consume the living creature after our kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25: And Man tamed the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and man saw that it was good.
26: And Man said, Let us make G-d in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth and more especially over most Men.
27: So Man created G-d in his own image, in the image of Man created he him; male and female created he them.
28: And Man worshiped them, and Man said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth and most especially over most Men.
29: And Man said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30: And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31: And Man saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Those nigerian egregores, or is it intuition forms, are really tearing the place apart.  Only God can save that part of the world.  I'm at my wits end with them.
I really feel your pain; ever day after going through the news and internet about Nigeria, i go to bed sighing in pain.  Yet even in the darkest perils, i still believe it will get better. "after the heavy downpour, there is usually a big harvest" grin, cheer up.

M-nwankwo =>
Hi Pastor. It is really sad what is happening in our naija especially in the religious arena. Our people always have God in there libs but deep down them (even though they are not conscious of it), they do not believe in God or believe in man made intuitive forms. Any person who have experienced God even for a second cannot but love his neighbour. Such a one shows even greater love to his so called enemies. Here and there, their are few genuine human beings in our country and for the sake of this tiny few, I believe that the grace of God will incline to our people. But before then, a painful purification will precede the saving grace of God. Stay blessed.
The effects of the intuitive forms on the nation is pathetic; but i believe there is a great change at hand; this change might happen faster than any one can predict; the Truth will prevail. The concept of truth is beautiful, b'cos it is always what it is; irrespective of thought, feeling , notions and the beings of darkness who crave in stupidity for power, authority and the servitude of humanity. The irony is this; the truth has, is and will always be  there waiting for humanity, but many have chosen to build and depend on  systems that seeks their destruction. sad

PaRDeS,  a short note on Religious texts

The constant stupidity of the uninformed populace who regard religious text as absolute truth has been the cause of untold bloodshed. The debate of how religious text should be interpreted has been debated for over a 1000 years. According to known records; quite surprisingly it was the Muslims who first embarked on solving this dilemma. The Muslim religious intellectuals came up with the concept of "batini ta'wil". This concept postulated that the holy writs are  mere doorways that encompass greater truths which are both allegorical and mystical in nature. In todays reality unfortunately the fore-runners are lagging behind.

For the judeo-Christian populace, the readers of the holy writs should bear in mind, that these writs should not be treated a literal facts, but texts subject to exegesis.   This exegesis is known as PaRDeS. P stands for peshat, which means literal meaning, R for ramez which stands for allegorical meaning, D stands for dersha which stands for religious authority interpretation and S for sod which stands for esoteric reflection(personal) reflection.

Kabballah interpretation of PaRDeS:
In the analysis of commentors on the kabbalah ; the causes and the ills of the different level of interpretation of the holy writs can be found in the story written by Moses de Leon in 1290. The story was about the journey of four rabbis Akiba, ben zoma ,Ben Azzai and Aher into paradise(PaRDeS). The story goes on to state that the aforementioned rabbis went into paradise and were bequited with the following fate. The first got into paradise and died, the second lost his reason , the third became a heretic and the fourth came out sane.

Each rabbi denotes a layer or PaRDeS,  what happened to them can be attributed to the effects of your choice of exegesis of holy writs and how they affect you;

if you stick to P=> you will probably kill your self in Religious fanaticism.
if you stick to R=> you will be termed a crazy person.
if you stick to D=> you are bound to be the creator and implementor of religious dogma's, that would control those at R
if you stick to S=> you will probably come out sane,  grin

Hi again Jackdaniel. I am blessed to know things about elemental beings. But I keep to describing their activities and avoid giving details of how the look. Such personal description of how they look can very easily lead people to consciously or uncounsciously produce intuitive forms modelled according to what I described. I will therefore be partly responsible to God for the havoc these intutive forms produced as a result of my description bring on their originators. Thus I am sorry that I will not respond to this your question either here or in private communication. Besides I do not see how information about the being you described will benefit you or any other person spiritually. Stay blessed.
m=nwankwo=> I respect your choice and principles.  very well said.
"when the divine wills the gates and the veil shall be opened";
please modify your last post of my quote, i mean the description.cheers.

I know what you mean; i shall remove it's description, it was meant for you. the being in question is not of the elements.Any idea of it? i think it's personal to me, if i have an insight on it.
