I think the main issue is breaking that covenant that the ancestors made physically that all their offspring will serve the diety.

My mind also wander sometimes when I am speaking in tongues, thinking about my daily activities etc, it's normal, that is the flesh, what you do when your mind does that is you quietly bring your mind back and focus on the prayer till the spirit takes over.

I pray on average 4 hours everyday. 2 hours morning, 2 hours night, some times I don't complete the morning own cause of sleep..
