BREAKING : ASUU FINALLY SUSPENDS STRIKE... After a crucial meeting held at the State House, Abuja wednesday morning, the National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) Dr. Nasir Fagge says the federal government and the union have finally reached a tentative compromise and that the strike embarked upon by ASUU has finally been called off while discussions will continue with the Federal Government on the state of decay of key infrastructure in the nation's varsities. He lamented the pains the strike has caused the lecturers and students and urged both to return to campus. However, he advised the lecturers not to teach the students until Arsenal wins the UEFA Champions League . In his final statement to journalists, he suggested students may seize this time frame in learning a trade and leave ASUU and FG alone to continue this SEASONAL MOVIE. THIS NEWS ITEM IS TO REMIND GOVT THAT ASUU IS ON STRIKE. 32 minutes ago |
GEJ says we are developing nation there is no way we won't have crisis. he sited example of Ghana universities that strike for one year under Rawling. OMG! |
Wow, south west is progressing |
Fact- Under Mbadinuju, the state's University, ANSU was a glorified secondary school, the school lacked infrastructure, lecturers and did not have several of its courses accredited. Yet the students were forced to pay through their noses, fees then were at eighty thousand Naira, the highest then. With the coming of the Ngige administration. He quickly put up structures, befitting for academic learning, 23 courses received accreditation and the Senator moved by compassion reduced the fees from eighty thousand to thirty thousand as well as paid bursaries to indigent students. All in 2 years and 9 months. Compare this with the ruinous Obi administration which has stayed for almost eight years, school fees, maliciously jacked up to 130,000.00 because he said that Anambra State Students did not vote for him in the 2010 elections. The school has suffered from infrastructural development because the Obi administration has refused to consider tertiary education as strategic. Finally over 20 courses are set to lose their accreditation leaving students there frustrated and with lost hopes. Ndi Anambra Ibem, with these facts and figures, who would you rather vote. Peter Obi's stooge for continued destruction of the education sector or Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige, a man who values education and who sees it as a right and not a privilege. Vote Wisely! Vote Ngige!! |
Obi Destroys Ngige’s Billboards as APC Spits Fire By 247ureports We confirm that some bill boards of the candidate to beat, in Anambra 2014 race Senator Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige ,OON,Onwaaaa, has been brought down surreptitiously and posters extensively torn by hoodlums sponsored by the Anambra State Government Peter Obi and his faction of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). It is a matter for regret that the government now indulges in destroying election materials erected with hard-earned private funds by opposing interests in a desperate attempt to create fear in the mind of the voters in Anambra State who are decided on where their votes would go-NGIGE! Early indications to this effect emerged form a regular APGA/Anambra Government Alter Ego on the Internet and employee of Anambra State government who goes by the alias, ‘Elder Chris’. Elder Chris announced that: ‘‘…Angry Anambra youths destroy Ngige bill boards and poster for being unable to pay # 1m advertisement, pasting of campaign posters and mounting of campaign bill boards, thereby defaulting the Laws of Anambra state..’’ Operatives in the campaign team of NGIGE 2014have confirmed this. In the first place, ‘angry youths’ do not enforce laws of a state government, as there are proper agencies for the purpose. In the second place, Ngige had completely paid his N1million; not minding the reservation expressed by stakeholders on the panic imposition candidates by the state government. The payment, made to ANAMBRA STATE SIGNAGE & ADVERTISEMENT AGENCY by Senator Chris Ngige on August 29, 2013, through Account no 5030003844 of FIDELITY BANK PLC. The resort to the rule on impunity by people clearly enjoying the backing of Anambra State government is indicative that Governor Peter Obi and his party are seeking other avenues to intimidate a winning candidate. We liken this event to three similar incidences of the recent past in the build-up to this election: • Following the declaration of support for Senator Dr Chris Ngige by a multiparty coalition drawm from all parties and all factions of parties including that of Obi, and the speech made by Hon Ralph Okeke to the effect that Gov Obi was deceiving Anambra State with Zoning, a group called Anambra North Youth Organisation, claimed to have banned Hon. Okeke at the time from all public functions. A demonstration to the effect was organised by the state government and surprisingly led by a sitting Local Government Transition Chairman, Mr Chinedu Obidigwe. We promptly condensed Obidgwe, who later held a press conference in Prktoia Hotels Awka under the supervision of government for inbeing a chairman that leads demonstration s and wondered who they would now table their complaints to, if the ‘leader’ was on the street. • Senator Chris Ngige attended the New Yam Festival of Awkuzu Town last weekend. Before his arrival an exuberant ‘town Union executive member had sent texts to members of his entourage claiming that the state government did not want him to attend. Senator Ngige honoured his invitation and was lifted shoulder high by enthusiastic youth of Awkuzu who stated that the road he constructed in Awkuzu was the only surviving one. Midway a few thugs sent by the Transition Chairman for Oyi Local government Mr Okafor , commonly called Wiper’ were chased away by the same youth who trouped after Ngige till he left Awkuzu. • Mr AkachukwuNwakpo erstwhile aspirant under PDP had planned an occasion with traditional rulers to take place in Aguleri, the transition chairman was instructed to use tugs to dismantle the event and the occasion was eventually moved to the place of one of the traditional rulers in the areas. Transition Chairmen, undemocratic impositions of Peter Obi government which has seen him deceive Anambra four times and avoid elections five times runs common to these three instances, and send a strong signal on what APGA and Peter Obi seek to achieve through these appointees in elective positions, hence the evil postponement of LG elections for a record fifth time in this administration. In Igbo land the figure three is to all intents and purposes a round figure. After three attempts at intimidation, ENOUGH must be ENOUGH. APC will not sleep over the right of our popular candidate to feel safe and free to respond to the messages of love and acclamation by the people. We shall not campaign through the sides of our mouth, but shall proclaim proudly from the roof tops if need be the general acclaim that Ngige shall return to re-position Anambra State on the path of growth. |

JAGANBAN BOGUL is not only Asiwaju of Lagos but Asiwaju of Yoruba land now confirmed. The only thing I love this man for is all his subordinates, the likes of Fayemi, Aregbesola, Fasola, Oshiomole, Ajimobi, Gbajabiamila etc. Tinubu works with technocrats that can turn the world arounds. Unlike your Baba who failed to find a good successor only to call "Umoru are you died" Thumbs up to Jagaban SW is leading and most peaceful now in Nigeria because there are infrastructural developments going on. This is the work of Asiwaju boys. |
I dey laugh oo, ANPP and CPC have seized to exit since they have formed a new party. Jega has collected the certificates of registration of ACN, CPC and ANNP. so tell me who are they? they just want to be relevant |
#PDP CRISIS: Senate President under pressure to dump GEJ, Tukur The factionalization of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is having a toll on the political balance of the Senate as its President, Senator David Mark, has come under fresh pressure to dump his support for President Goodluck Jonathan and the national chairman of the party, Mr. Bamanga Tukur. LEGISREPORTS gathered from informed sources that Senator Mark has been identified as a bulwark of support for the President and the Tukur- led PDP and as such has come under heavy pressure from sections of the northern political establishment to dump Jonathan. Part of the pressure on Mark as gathered, is also coming from some influential senators who have switched allegiance to the splinter group of the PDP led by Mr. Abubakar Baraje. These senators who are doing the bidding of their governors and top notchers of the anti-Jonathan bloc of the north believe taking control of the senate as an institution, is key in the plot to stop Jonathan in 2015. About 22 senators have identified with the Baraje group of the party which pulled away last Saturday during the national convention of the PDP at the Eagles Square in Abuja to another venue. Former vice president Atiku Abukakar led seven governors of the party and many members of the national assembly to form a splinter group of the ruling party. The governors are Rabiu Kwakwanso (Kano), Aliyu Babangida (Niger), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Murtala Nyarko (Adamawa) and Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers) who had been suspended from the party since May and so did no attend the convention at the Eagles Square. LEGISREPORTS also learnt that the threat yesterday by Tukur to declare vacant seats of senators and House of Representatives members that have identified with the Baraje group have also introduced another dimension in the political crossfire in the PDP as Mark is being relied upon by both factions to do their bidding. “Specifically, the anti-Tukur senators expect the senate president to offer them protection and counter any move by the Tukur to actualize the threat against their seats,” said a source, who added that Mark is also being relied upon by the presidency to help rein in the revolt by defecting senators against the Tukur-led leadership which is clearly backed by President Jonathan. The source further informed that this scenario has put the senate president in some form of quandary which is “further compounded by the fact that he quietly nurses a 2015 presidential ambition for himself and is only watching the waters before he decides to go headlong into the fray for Jonathan’s job.” LEGISREPORTS got to Senator Mark through his media aide, Mr. Kola Ologbodiyan, who did not deny our report but insisted that the senate president as a leader in the party is involved in peace moves that would unite the party, PDP. #LEADERSHIP |
Jagaban dey kampe, very soon scene will unfolds. |
maakano: Was it not dis same Aregbe who rejected and frustrated d FG's Fertilizer programme in his state, just like he did to SURE-P's Employment Scheme, simply for parochial political reasons?? Other Govs, like that of Delta, and many others who participated in d conference, acknowledged General working of d New Fertilizer Scheme; why is Osun State different??. If Ogbeni did not perform in his agricultural sector the pdp lead government will not invite him. but they were disapointed for telling them the truth. If people like Omisore is handling Sure-p programme in the state, by hoarding and begin to give his people, so what re saying here if Ogbeni said none of his famers in the state receive fertiliser. everything is politics nawaoo |
Ogbeni is a visionary leader, unlike feedeefee people that will go to hotels with small girls called their girl friends, Aregbe will leave office around 11.30pm in the night coming down to GRA everyday except occasional cases. This is real model to emulate. APC |
.... if this election was conducted 20times APC will always win Offa Local Government. Offa is more intelligent to be under Sakari dynasty of Ilorin. My thumb up to the people of Offa |
A councilorship candidate of PDP in Shawo South West ward in #Offa LG, KwaraState, Mr. Afolabi Olawol rejected victory at the Rerun Election as announced by KWASIEC saying accepting contradicts his belief as he did not win that election but # APC. As for PDP, for raping the people who voted enmass for APC, the "gods" are angry and will set you against each other till VICTORY overtakes darkness in favour of #APC. You cannot continue to cheat God. This is our PRAYER. |
I am watching imo state governor now live on AIT addressing the imo state house of assembly. my fellow Nairalanders can please join me |
If Ofa local goverment election is conducted 20times APC will always win the election. Ofa can never be under ilorin dynasty. From the history Ofa local goverment has always been in opposition party. So it is so clear and open that the election was upturned to favour the PDP. |
Senator Andy Uba has just been declared as the winner of the PDP primary in Anambra State with 645votes. Source AIT TV |
