PoliticsRe: Shehu Sani Set To Dump APC: Do You Think He'll Be Missed? by Jakinola01(m): 10:25am On Jul 05, 2018
Lol who cares? As long as APC and Buhari continue on the right path.

Timibabaj:
Representative of Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has said he was left with no other option than to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sani told journalists during the launch of a book on the former Kaduna State Governor, Balarabe Musa in Abuja, that his decision was due to the high level of impunity displayed by the party in Kaduna State.

He said he would have loved to remain in the APC but for the antics of Governor Ahmed Nasir El-Rufai, who was the alleged mastermind of the transgressions in the last party congresses of the state.

Sani hinted that he would announce his defection from the APC before the end of the week.

On the new elected National Chairman of the party, he said: “I believe in Adams Oshiomhole, I believe in his track record and I believe he is somebody who has the desire to put things right in the party.

Do you think Sani would be missed if he leaves APC?
PoliticsRe: President Macron In Nigeria by Jakinola01(m): 11:11am On Jul 04, 2018
Exciting stuff! Buhari was able to meet with him too.

Babayero212:
French President, Emmanuel Macron, arrived in Nigeria today to meet with Buhari

The meeting is part of efforts to forge closer ties with English-speaking Africa.

Macron, a 40-year-old former investment banker who speaks fluent English, has made a point of boosting ties with France’s former colonies but also improving trade with anglophone countries.

Later today, he will also visit Lagos State where the state government has planned to host him at the New Afrika Shrine founded by Femi Kuti, son of music legend, Fela Kuti – making him the first president to enter the venue.

The New Afrika Shrine located at Ikeja Lagos was built after the original Shrine by the musical maverick, Fela was burnt down in 1977.

In Lagos, the agenda will be less traditionally diplomatic, with a focus more on the megacity of 20 million people’s artistic and cultural scene.

In the end, we want more Presidents to visit and see that Nigeria is making progress under Buhari's tenure as well.

Well done.

PoliticsRe: Group Endorses Buhari For 2019 by Jakinola01(m): 6:33pm On Jul 03, 2018
They are on the right part by endorsing Buhari

Timibabaj:
A non-governmental Organization; Savers Empowerment Ambassador Initiative has thrown its weight behind the re-election of President Buhari for 2019 and want Nigerians to support the president in the elections.
In a release by the chairman, Frank Ramsey, the group said the endorsement came for the president because of his fight against corruption in a manner that no previous government has done before and this has redeemed the image of this country within the International community.

Speaking further, Ramsey noted that abandoned projects that litter the country, especially roads, have been rebuilt by his administration, while contractors now deliver jobs on schedule.

Group Secretary, Isa Faiza Mahmood said his group would volunteer to work tirelessly for Buhari’s re-election, as he is the only one that can take the country to greater heights.
PoliticsRe: Is The EFCC Winning The Anti-corruption War At Last? by Jakinola01(m): 6:24pm On Jul 03, 2018
They are so winning and Buhari has good hand in it.

Okonsyourguy:
Is the EFCC winning the anti-corruption war at last? The apex corruption agency claims yesterday it secured 139 convictions in the first 6 months (January-June) of 2018 alone! Wow! Ibrahim Magu's too much mehn...

For the first time in Nigeria's history, 2 former governors, Jolly Nyame and Joshua Dariye of Taraba and Plateau state, have bagged 14-year jail terms each. In this same Nigeria where former governors and the corruption cabal claim to be untouchable, 2 of them can get canned within 6 months of the same year while the rest are catching cold.

Can Magu come out and collect his handshake? Can President Buhari get his accolades for supporting the anti-corruption agency? Do Nigerians now see Buhari means this anti-corruption battle as promised in 2015? Can you see Buhari is justified for keeping Magu in the EFCC and is delivering on the promise to kick corruption out of public office in Nigeria?

Is EFCC's unprecedented feat in the war against corruption worthy of applause? I don't fail to knock him when he gets things wrong, so Buhari chop knuckle for fighting corruption abeg. What do you think?
BusinessRe: Technology Start-ups To Get Tax Holidays - Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by Jakinola01(m): 10:44am On Jun 25, 2018
As in... I'm so glad about this. Big kudos to the Buhari lead administration.

Okonsyourguy:
If you're a techie and interested in getting tax holiday from the Buhari administration, this information is for you.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said the Federal Government is including technology start-ups and businesses in the list of businesses eligible for tax holidays.

Osinbajo speaking in Lagos while inaugurating Vibranium Valley, a hub for technology and innovation start-ups described as the largest in sub-Saharan Africa. The Vice President said Vibranium Valley, established by Venture Garden Group, could become Nigeria’s next innovation cluster housing tech firms devoted to talent, data and entrepreneurship.

Vibranium Valley, located within the expansive grounds of the former Concord Newspaper Headquarters in Ikeja, consists of world-class office spaces fully furnished to meet the needs of up to 50 tech start-ups.

So now that you know where to go, do you think this tax holiday plan by the Buhari admin is great for small businesses?
PoliticsRe: APC And Oshiomole by Jakinola01(m): 5:47pm On Jun 24, 2018
Buhari has always been a peaceful man.

Chi12baby:
It can not just be that no one noticed how relateively peaceful APC’s Programme went yesterday. From elections to deliberations, everything went smooth. Unlike the opposition whose Nation convention put the whole Nation at the bank of war. Charity they say begins at home. Buhari and Oyegun have been able to put things together, I am sure that Oshiomhole’s presence will make things even better.
PoliticsOshiomole's Emergence As APC National Chairman. What Do You Make Of It? by Jakinola01(op): 2:10pm On Jun 24, 2018
I've always liked Oshiomole ever since he fought for laborers during the Obasanjo administration. He has always proved to be a strong man and a man of integrity. I feel his emergence as APC national chairman would help strengthen the party and help President Buhari with the good things he's doing.

What do you think?

With regards to you last quote, I strongly believe so too

Timibabaj:
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Delta, Mr. Hope Abijor, says the emergence of Adams Oshiomhole as the party’s National Chairman will end Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reign in the state.

“Whether you like it or now, Oshiomhole is a formidable political force in this country, besides being a man of high credibility.

“Again, he has good friends and strong influence in Delta, and I strongly believe that with him as national chairman, APC will take over the state in 2019.’’

PoliticsRe: What Do You Think Of The Second National Health Plan Launched By The FG? by Jakinola01(m): 5:43pm On Jun 22, 2018
I love this news. Well done Buhari.

Timibabaj:
The Buhari-led federal government recently launched the second National Strategic Health Development Plan (NSHDP) to deepen healthcare service delivery in the country.

The new NSHDP was initiated after the first plan came to an end in 2015 after a five-year period.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, explained that the five-year plan will help to foster efficient healthcare services across the country.

The government also gave official approval for the establishment of traditional and alternative medicine department in the Federal Ministry of Health.

The approval for the establishment of the department, which was given by the Office of the Head of Service (HOS) will for the first time give official recognition to traditional African medicine in the country.

I personally think this is great. As Africans, most of us cannot do without the traditional medicine but there has never been any regulation to ensure its safety.

With this recent development from Buhari's administration, traditional medicine would be properly regulated.

What are your thoughts guys?

See ehn... Buhari is the best fit.

Timibabaj:
So because the National Assembly felt that President Buhari needed to be taught a lesson in proper lobbying and 'Checks and Balancing, They decided that the 2018 budget process had to be weaponized against him.

What kind of humans do we have as lawmakers in this country?

While amending the 2018 Budget is their constitutional duty, where does it state that the Legislature must frustrate the Executive to have their way to arbitrarily pad up the document?

What the national Assembly did with the 2018 budget is totally immoral, disturbing, disruptive and antithetical to the direction of growth of Nigeria.

It's nothing short of Budget padding, usurping the executive's function and this must not stand.

Nigerians may not be able to start a total recall of the National Assembly because it's too late but we can make sure that these dubious characters don't make it back to the Green and Red Chambers in 2019.

For the elections, we can't wait.

No be today o.. Buhari for President again abeg

Okonsyourguy:
No be today our dubious lawmakers dey siphon our money for themselves in the name of budget padding, e don tay since 1999. That's why if there's one thing you have to admire President Muhammadu Buhari for, its his courage in the face of adversity. Amending the Appropriation Act may not be illegal but was it moral? Is moral to cut back funding on projects key to national growth like;

* the completion of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,
* the East-West road, the 2nd Niger Bridge,
* the Mambilla Plateau power project

in favour of frivolous and mundane activities like buying grinding machines, motorcyles and building VIP toilets? Can you see the legislators we voted into the 8th National Assembly in 2015? Did you know the National Assembly padded its own budget with a whooping N14.5bn from N125bn to N139.5bn? Just like that?!

In a nation where some are struggling to feed, businesses are suffering and lives being lost on bad roads, our lawmakers are padding the budget so they can continue living lavishly after collecting N13.5million monthly for operational costs. Have you seen any constituency project completed in your area since 1999 when our lawmakers have been collecting billions in constituency allowances? Fellow Nigerians, isn't it high time we asked our lawmakers on whose side they are on? What do you think?

Everything Buhari,do you know that in Baptist nursery and primary school in the Bode-ijaiye area of Abeokuta recieve free meals every school day thanks to a national programme. Which aims to provide nutritious meals to young schoolchildren in order to increase enrolment, help them stay in school, and reduce malnutrition, particularly among children from low-income families.

The difference is he is not making noise about his achievement so far, but well-meaning Nigerians can carry out some projects within thieer immediate environment too. Buhari is really working, i am impressed.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Breaking: Saraki, Dogara Absent As President Buhari Signs 2018 Budget Into Law by Jakinola01(m): 4:44pm On Jun 20, 2018
Great news from Buhari

Okonsyourguy:
Fellow Nigerians, after spending 6 agonizingly long months in the National Assembly, President Muhammadu Buhari has finally signed the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law. Conspicuously absent at the signing of the 2018 Budget were the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Reps, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

President Buhari while explaining the reasons behind the long delay in signing the budget said, "I am concerned about some of the changes that the National Assembly has made to the budget proposals that I presented. The logic behind the Constitutional direction that budgets should be proposed by the Executive is that, it is the Executive that knows and defines its policies and projects.

Unfortunately, that has not been given much regard in what has been sent to me. The National Assembly made cuts amounting to 347 billion Naira in the allocations to 4,700 projects submitted to them for consideration and introduced 6,403 projects of their own amounting to 578 billion Naira."

If you want to find out more about the intrigues behind the delay in the signing of the 2018 Budget, you should read President Buhari's full speech http://statehouse.gov.ng/news/president-buharis-speech-at-the-signing-of-the-2018-appropriation-bill-into-law-at-presidential-villa-abuja/

I don’t know how Chioma prayed this prayer but I need guidelines. She looks really basic but boy ! She is living the life. It’s safe to safe that not all that glitters is gold. Has Nigeria not experienced peace since he took over. See, Abacha’s loot Of year has been like God sending us money in time of need. Lol. See the recent bursting brain bill. You can contest, I can contest. Or is it the job creation or vocational training exercise for about 20,000 youths. Maybe it’s the electricity we now enjoy in Lagos. Wait, the commissioning of roads all around the country including the magnificent bus terminal at Ikeja. Gratitude brings more. Buhari has given me assurance but I still need the boo’s assurance sha oooo

The speed with which President Buhari is converting his critics into supporters these days is becoming scary. Next line to those singing Buhari's praises for his stance on integrity is Senator Smart Adeyemi. The PDP senator who lost his seat in Kogi West district to the embattled Dino Melaye, has said it for all ears to hear that Muhammadu Buhari remains the best choice for President in the coming 2019 elections because nobody has questioned Buhari's integrity. Hard work is the koko...

Babayero212:
After the dismal loss by our beloved super eagles in the ongoing world cup, numerous persons have come out to voice out their minds.

Many think our players did abysmally below par in their delivery method.

Others feel we could have done better.

My thoughts are mine. I just found it funny when Nigerians stated trending the Nigerian Pastor that was openly seen praying for the Nigerian team.

This is the issue I have with Nigerians. We attach too much sentiments and emotions to things.

Instead of training properly, we would rather be hoping on "prayer" to do the magic.

God blesses the work of your hands.

This means you need to have a work first. Then God will bless it.

For example, see the way Buhari has been lowkey making positive impact all over Nigeria.
But nobody will see all that. All they will focus on, are the small mistakes not caused by his govt.

Next thing you know, someone will trip and accuse the govt of making them fall. grin grin grin

Anyway, work the work Nigerians.

The same way Buhari is working the good work.

Timibabaj:
Still basking in the euphoria of Buhari's declaration of June 12 as our new democracy day, I thought I should ask these questions because personally, I had this nostalgic feeling about it the moment the President made that declaration.

June 6th, 2018 felt like June 12th, 1993 all over again.

I wasn't eligible to vote at that time yet but I was old enough to feel the emotions in the atmosphere when it was certain that Abiola had won the elections.

There was genuine joy everywhere. It was a victory for Nigeria as a whole. It felt like an emancipation.

Unfortunately, that joy was stolen.

Most of us had moved on from that considering the kind of country we've become used to - a country where it seems like justice is a myth, but Buhari thought it wise to right the wrongs and serve us justice when we never even expected it.

What do you remember about June 12, 1993?
