Nairaland General › Re: Revealing: What Your NON-PORTRAIT Nairaland Profile Pix Says About You by jamace(m): 4:18pm On Dec 03, 2009

Pix Summary: The picture is that of the Tropical Purple Lily, suitable as the centerpiece of a water garden. The lily holds its fragrant blossoms high out of the water and can have several blooms at a time. The deep violet blooms of this star shaped flower are outstanding. This lily has a delightful fragrance and is a profuse bloomer. To grow lilies, one needs to start them in shallow water and move them deeper as they grow. Tropical water lilies grow best in a generous amount of heavy garden soil. Tropical lilies can be raised in any climate as long as one removes them from the water when the weather starts to cool off long before the first frost.

What your pix says to me: You are not one to walk away from a challenge and you will not go along just to get along. I wouldn’t say you’re a fierce opponent, but rather a determined counterparty. You are generally undaunted, unfazed and intrepid. You have the ability to thrive where average folks deteriorate. You believe that there ought to be an alignment between who you are and what you do - you love to bring your personality to bear on your endeavours, and may not do well if nearly-mechanical, banal and conventional actions are required of you. It may be hard to accuse you of hoarding information as you have an affinity for sharing knowledge. Your strength is primarily internal as you are self-reflective; may be to the point of being your own worst critic. Asked if he had a new play for the finals of the 2007 XLI Super Bowl (American Football’s version of “World Cup”), Indiana Colts’ Offensive Coach said, “Why? If I had new plays, I would have used them in the regular season!” – Like him, you are action-oriented, and would rather not defer. However, you may find it challenging translating that orientation into real-life results. (PS: The Colts went on to win 29-17!)

Politics › Re: Pilgrims Stone Nigerian Senator In Mecca by jamace(m): 3:32pm On Dec 03, 2009
By the way, I don't envy Nigerian pilgrims because most went on biz trip not pilgrimage. If you take a sample, you will discover that at least 90% of the pilgrims were sponsored by biz mongol for goods shipment. I was told of a man who performs Hajj every year on sponsorship, just to buy goods for the sponsor. So, it is not surprising they are vehemently resisting the rule. It is so sad that we are in a society where people are more religious than godly, May God/Allah have mercy on our deceitful souls. sad sad
