Lol, I haven't had a bad experience but I remember once my brother was so excited about a girl he's been chatting with on hi5 and Myspace(back before facebook stole their subscribers). My mum had travelled, so he took my mum's car to go pick her up, he even took his friend he invited to the house earlier to tag along just so he could brag about it.

Only for him to return with his friend after about an hour, when I asked him where the girl was, he ignored me and just went into his room. His friend waited for him to be out of sight before laughing out loud, he told me the girl had "a face so rough that you could light a match stick with one strike". Lol! I haven't forgotten that phrase though its been almost 10 years now that happened. His friend said they changed plans and took her to an eatery instead of the house. At first, my brother wouldn't have any of the mockery, but later he became cool with it and even laughs about it when reminded.

Most times it's the waiter, they are supposed to keep an eye on the people they serve, although it might not seem right, but restaurants do this to discourage waiters from pocketing pay and claiming it was a dine and dash. I could say I just met him there, they wont force me to pay for what I didn't order.

After 400l, during the session break, i was on IT and met this guy where i was working,he was working at the company too as a permanent staff though. he was so nice to me and made me feel special and loved, we saw virtually every day, sometimes after work he would drop me at home and even became friends with my siblings. he asked me out and i agreed to date him, things was going smoothly bt then i had to go back to school.

Restaurants and bars know the person who orders, pays. That's why in developed societies, the waiter always serves both parties menu booklets, the bills come back enclosed in the booklets used to order. It seems some Nigerian outfits use this lack of awareness to defraud their male customers, some even go as far as encouraging the females who arrive in company of a male to try their new expensive dish just so the male would have to pay for it or risk looking like a douche.

It's unfair to go out with a man and expect him to empty his pocket just because you have an appetite. It's either we both pay for ourselves or if he insists on paying, I tell him what options I fancy on the menu and let him decide what's okay for him to order. Nothing wrong with offering to order for yourself if you need any extras, you might as well even decide to get dessert for you both.

Dear MrLP, this isn't a bashing just incase you decide to read this, but having seen some of your replies to some ladies on this thread, I think you need to change your attitude towards women for real, just like your 'little damsel in distress' told 'old superhero' you.

1. Avoid battering words with ladies, its not manly, and I don't know a lady who likes a man that is not manly. Even if you're right, there are a lot of things silence or fewer words (when used appropriately) can fix.

2. Some guys can easily turn from admirers to die hard pests. Now while I don't support some of her selfish inclinations, still, it doesn't matter if she has 75 messages on her WhatsApp, or if she was travelling to meet her boyfriend, you don't have a right to be jealous at this stage, she has a right to decide who is good enough for her, you aren't even dating not to talk of ringing her finger. For now you are only friends.

3. She can, just as any other of your male or casual friends ask you to help her buy some grocery or if she could hitch a ride with you to somewhere they really need to be. You also have a right to decide not to offer any assistance. But when you talk of how you would not use your ATM just because she was probably going to see some other guy? even though you aren't sure? I'm sorry but that sounds selfishly judgemental and I'll tell you what, If she is what you think she is, and you had game? she probably would be spending money out of some other guy's ATM to come see you. I hate to say this but I think you have a classic case of the 'I wish he dates more women so he knows how to attract me'. But how many women would stick around until you actually grow a pair? Its true that as women, we need someone to love us, but we also need someone to love.

Get dating more often and when you feel more comfortable with hot women around you, you would see clearly enough to decide what you really want, because right now you seem to be persecuting a young lady that you happened to help occasionally and therefore expect her to adore the very ground you step on.
