God has done it for me o, so happy!

Okay, so I booked flight for saturday, then decided to pray, count on faith and pay Etiebet's place a visit yesterday, and yeah visa was neatly embossed on my passport, sealed and collected.

For those who wanna know how long? I applied 8th Sept, Submitted biometrics 17th Sept @Vfs ikeja, Approval mail came on 25th Sept, Picked passport up 3rd Oct. My visa says issued 23rd though. I didn't get an SMS even though I paid for it. And I didn't register with TPcontact.

For my team-tier4 still waiting, best wishes, pls pray, I believe yours would all be out soon. I'll be heading off to the airport pretty soon, still packing up
So if ya see a plane fly by, it might just be me in there, say hi and wave a lil to the sky and thank God for me, it would mean a lot to me.

henry0: The transcript I used wasn't addressed to the school rather to my Dad's hotel..so I used that same copy so many times.

I got an approval mail on monday and also 2 mails from TP abuja this afternoon stating that decision has been made and my documents have been sent to me by the courier service, so I guess its accepted.

Your sister should just get another copy addressed to any employer rather than a school.

I thought so as well. That would have been the ideal thing to do, but her school is notorious for taking extended long periods of time in preparing transcripts and she needs to get her offer, ATAS and CAS then apply for visa all before Jan '15. And that's why we want to know if she can just use her student copy instead of waiting months for the new main transcript.

U're supposed to have received approval mail(have u checked spam?). Maybe you should check with them at vfs abuja since that was where u applied. And pls pray.

spikesC: Nope, but it's at the discretion of the school to accept the document not the ECO.
The school tells the ECO which document you're to submit

Hi, pls where did you get that info, was it via email or from the vfs tracking website? Mine still says forwarded to BHC. Same as it was on date of application on vfs tracking page. But I got an email that visa has been approved last week. Did u receive this email?

spikesC: It solely depends on the school accepting it.
Universities are not supposed to give that main copy to students.

If the copy she has is not directed to a particular school, then you can try that. They will only reject and ask you to get the main copy

Do you know of anyone who applied for a visa with student copy transcript and was issued visa?

Hello, my sister is applying from Nigeria to abt 3 schools in Uk for Msc and has been asked to forward her transcript. Now her Nigerian school wouldn't give her the main copy, they can only send it to her intended school, but she has a student copy of the one she had her school send to another Nigerian university earlier this year. Can she scan the student copy to the uk schools? Can she apply for ukba visa with the student copy?
Pls help.

Yea I tried to. Was there friday @ about 4, the guys at the gate apologized that they closed an hour earlier due to the transition and won't let anyone in. Somehow I got in anyway, and one of the collection officers helped me check and said mine has not been placed on transit. But should be there definitely before Thursday. So do the maths.

The address my approval mail came from was abuja.visaenquries. i applied at vfs abuja just that i was asked to go to lagos for the second intervie. Didnt register at tpcontact.

Applied at Vfs abuja on thr 12th, was called to come to lagos for a second face to face interview on 17th, interview took place on the 19th and i got an approval mail on sunday 20th, my passport arrived my office via Ups at 16:45 yesterday.

The visa was stamped on 19th, same day i had the 2nd interview

Congrats, we are still waiting for our email from vfs ikeja. Submitted 17th. Did your approval mail come from vfs or the high commision? And did u have to register on tpcontact? Dunno if its for vfs applicants too.

17th september, I have not received any mail yet and was wondering if processing times have changed because the msg I got that evening was 'forwarded to deputy high commision' and I understand that is located in lagos not abuja (High commision).

Has anyone who applied at Ikeja last week received email? Is the tpcontact registration for vfs applicants too or just for those who booked appointments with tele performance?

you can always use a courier company, make sure you take out extra insurance, you cant trust those rugrats at our airport with such specialised equipment, all you get is 'Mr Akan is not on seat come tomorrow'

have you considered getting the uni to provide you with something similar if you feel its really important, they are usually very accommodating

Ok, so its not ideal to tag along with it and pay for extra luggage? Do you know any Nigerian owned trustworthy courier service? The last time I used one from the States it was hell getting it done.

Could anyone pls inform me on the best way to transport my tv to the uk? Is it best to use a courier or just tag along with it to the airport and book extra luggage? If I use the second option, do I have to worry abt duty fees at the airport and I hope tv license ppl would not try tracking me to my house as I'm yet to get accomodation and don't want to be asked to provide one at POE.

I already fixed an appointment @ Vfs Ikeja for 23rd September. Is there a way I can attend My interview before this date? I'll love to have it on Friday. Secondly, the expected departure date on My application form is 18th September. Hope that won't affect My application. My school will resume on 22nd September and I really hope I can leave by 30th Max.

Personally, I dunno if that would be possible as you have to present your appointment confirmation print-out at the gate which they would cross check with their own list to let you in. As for the other question, the dons in d house could help out.

The date you signed the form is what you'll use.

Photocopy passport date page and visa form.

Just go with your passport photo, the staff at vfs will affix it for you.

Okay so I'm going to ikeja tomorrow, what kinda questions have they been asking there lately? What date do I need to sign the declaration form? Is it Date of submission online or Date of Appointment? Do u staple the passport photo or use gum? Do u also photocopy visa pages or just Biodata page? So help me God. #teamikeja

#Team Ikeja appointments next week. Pls what's the best airline to book a day to departure at reasonable rates?
