Honestly, i can never giv up on this recruitment. My source once told me that it might delay but they will call. He was called after 3 years after all hope was lost.

About the call made to some people last month, those who were called are successful while all successful candidates were not called. some were called because their vetting wasnt done properly while some got the call for confirmation of interest. i heard a story of someone who was called and told the caller he doesnt know the person who bears the name the caller asked him. This is the person who is suppose to be a prospective cadet. This made them to call more people randomly. However, the ongoing promotional exams is in batches, cadet are going to train with the last batch who will be promoted from their current position lower to cadet to cadet. we soon get there

its called the calm before the storm theres no news to share here, nothing new, they called a few people or states few weeks back, dey wouldn't do that if noting was happening or dey ddnt get go ahead from HQ, I repeat. So de only news left is camp date or cancellation news. Final

I chose not to reply the bro coz I hate blind argument but i love constructive criticism I explained the current situation @ headquarters in Abuja to d house & d latest from d source himself & I didn't say d recruitment wont be concluded as he presumed{ Compound sentence should not be too difficult for graduates to comprehend} I didn't say that DSS job is not one of the best among others But d fact still remains that..

There are other good & lucrative jobs like FAAN, NPA, NNPC, FIRS,CBN, NIA to mention but few..And some of them pay more than DSS even stress free, u av enough time for ur family, merriment, enjoyment & job like FAAN pay her staffs 13th month salary & other incentives... But some of us love DSS job wit passion { like myself} coz of some reasons not really d money..While coz want a stable stream of income meaning unemployment push some to it...

It may interest u that the guy that got NCRS job & refused DSS call will also be happy wit his current job coz it's also one of d best job opportunity where a specialist can utilise his practical knowledge & he can never be stranded for d rest of his life. {£xcept he lacks proper logistics of money management meaning if d guy is extravagant in spending} The National Centre for Remote sensing,(NCRS) is a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Science & Technology.. They pay very well..

yes,, promotion course is always between june,july to august but it won't stop u guys from going to camp...e get some officers wey go upgrade to SIO(probably)wey una go follow camp together...that's aw it's bn done

I saw you on Nairaland but I just registered so I can’t comment. DSS recruitment is still on! Keep the hope alive. I got a call from HQ 2days ago specifically on Wednesday at 3pm and they asked me the following questions

1. Is this (my name)
Ans: yes sir, speaking!

2. I am calling from DSS HQ
Reply: Ok sir

3. Are you still interested in the job?
Ans: No, sir i’m Not

4. Do you have something else doing?
Ans: yes sir I have.

5. Where are you at the moment?
Ans: Lagos sir

6. Ok that’s fine, we are calling to compile a list for those to report to camp soon hopefully next week
Ans: ok sir, I got another job so I can’t go. Thanks sir.

7. Ok that’s fine, wish you best of luck in your career path
Ans: thanks sir and God bless.

Good evening bro, I remember you once said the number of people going to camp is much in this present recruitment. You said that with the hope that the list is already approved. Then, why you coming up with them holding a meeting for this week? Does it mean the propose meeting will determine the number of people going for camp or the date for camp to resume. Please expatiate further. Thank you sir.

The number is much and the list has been approved but there are forces among the newly promoted ranks that wanted new recruitment so that they can add their candidates.Even if there is new recruitment the list is there already just to add new names to the number on ground but the DG has the final say on it cos both the retired, some of those in service now and the DG all have their candidates in the list. if new recruitment is done, it will cause more delay but the same list on ground will still be used. DG has the final say this week but let let pray to God
