The Department of State Services (DSS) on Saturday said it was not recruiting.

A statement by its Spokesman, Peter Afunanya, advised Nigerians to shun advertisement being circulated on social media platforms.


“The Service wishes to state that the information is not correct and should be treated as a scam by fraudsters to swindle unsuspecting members of the public, particularly job applicants”, it noted.

“This statement, therefore, serves as an advice to potential victims to be wary of the misleading advertorial so as not to fall into the hands of unscrupulous persons that may defraud them.

“Those seeking information on recruitment into the Service are advised to verify such from its State Commands and other formations.


“Similarly, scammers are warned to desist from this inglorious act as the Service will not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law to bear on perpetrators.

The state director of Anambra state was in contact yesterday and didn't mention anything like new recruitment, abi a whole state director won't be aware of new recruitment Like I said no harm in trying!

Please dot not give anybody a dime, be very careful, he almost prayed on my inpatience and desperation for this,as this is the final minute, I was very anxious and gave away one or two info about mysef but after a rethink and a quite chat wit my people, we realised its a scam. From my source, the proposed date for camp opening is 16th of June but what I have not heard about is the confirmation by the DG. My source don't pick calls any how I would av asked, he calls when there is info. Am expecting more info on if DG actually approved that date

This 30 percent is what am also doubting if they will pay in camp but at d same time still thinking that is not possible for them to camp us for good 6months without any monthly stipend. we cant be in camp and still be depending on people at home for money.

There are 3 reasons why the recruitment will not be cancelled, as a matter of fact is too late for cancellation of the recruitment. One of the reasons being that large number of the officers retired immediately after the election. secondly, something important which I won't mention here has been sent to camp. Thirdly, some of the Oga at d top are seriously interested in the process because of their own candidates.

The camp to be used is Bauchi. The only delay now is the Oga. Just for him to say go ahead and make the call.
That thing sent to camp is the strongest signal that we are close
