The cost of hiring the whole Woodstock wedding venue, which is the ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, is only on application but hiring just the palace and state rooms costs £33,000 (N15million).

Prices start at £300 per tier and Elizabeth's clients include British, European and Middle Eastern Royalty, celebrities and high net worth individuals.

With eight tiers on their cake, the base price Folarin & Naza would have paid for their magnificent cake would be around £2,400 (N1.1million) - and that's excluding the elaborate iced flowers and doves.

Guests at the wedding were also treated to a surprise performance from Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke, who reportedly costs around £150,000(N68.2million) to hire.

Apart from the magnificent firework display in the hotel grounds later in the evening,  the A-list guestlist included amongst many, Victoria's Secret Angel, Shanina Shaik.
The cake, which was adorned with hundreds of roses and ornate doves, was created by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium.

Father-of-one Folarin Alakija is an entrepreneur, investor and cinematographer who lost his first wife to cancer.

Folarin's new wife studied Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Manchester, has a graduate Diploma in Law and has also worked as a model and marketing consultant.

She stunned in a traditional strapless white gown with lace embellishment as she was walked down the aisle by her father. She accessorised her look with a dazzling diamond necklace and white Manolo Blahniks.

She later changed into a racier, floor length white gown with sheer panelling. She let her hair down as she danced the night away with her new husband and glamorous wedding guests.

It proves that contrary to Ango Abdulahi's claim, in 1914 (before the discovery of crude oil), Palm oil (mainly from Eastern Nigeria) was by far the major export commodity and revenue earner.

I do not have data do other years, if you do, please share.

So you found a report from the colonial era posted and you think your work is done?you have made a point? .FYI we have been posting and debating colonial reports going back to the 19TH CENTURY long before amalgamation. Nigeria existed as one for 46 years before independence. One year tells us NOTHING. In 1914 the British did not have full control of the country and so much changed over 46 years for example Nigeria started exporting coal and cocoa took off. It should be noted that cocoa is not an indigenous plant to Nigeria and in 1914 it was quite new it took off and by 1960 it was a different story.
Whilst I do not agree with AbdullahI you should not deceive yourself that your lazy offering proves or disproves anything. It is just information and you still need to do the work of putting forward a coherent argument to marshal your point whatever it might be. You cannot make any argument without at least 10 years data

You have done nothing either to prove your assertions. Provide verifiable data to back your argument.

If you want to do a serious analysis, compare the revenues that accrued from groundnut, cotton, cocoa, timber, palmoil, rubber and other cash crop in the 50's and 60's and you will get the true position of things before exploration of crude oil started.

Ango Abdulahi said "before the discovery of crude oil" and 1914 belongs to the era "before the discovery of crude oil", No?

Ango Abdullahi talked about revenue after independence and before the discovery of crude oil in commercial quantity and not at amalgamation in 1914.

Oil was discovered in 1956 before independence, so that notion still falls flat on its face. The North was never at anytime in history more buoyant than the South.
