Charly Boy, popular musician and leader of the #OurMumuDonDo protest, would have been lynched on Tuesday when he visited Wuse market, Abuja, but for the intervention of Igbo traders.

Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, has been protesting against President Muhammadu Buhari’s continued stay in London on medical vacation for the past 100 days.

It is exactly unclear why he went to the market but his small group of protesters had been outnumbered by the much larger pro-Buhari group that also gathered at the Unity Fountain.

A witness who spoke with the ICIR said Charly Boy was already a known face at the market by both Hausa and Igbo traders.

“He often visited and would give us money from time to time,” the trader, who asked not to be named, said.

“But because he had been leading a protest against Buhari, many of the Hausa suddenly started to dislike him. They attacked him today.”

He said were it not for Igbo traders who trooped to the scene of the attack in defence of one of their own, ‘Area Father’, as he is fondly called, might have been lynched.

“The Igbo traders saved him,” he said. “Without them, something terrible would have happened to him, because even the traffic wardens around here all ran away when the trouble started, saying they didn’t have guns”.

The police subsequently intervened in restoring peace to the area and the market was shut down.

This is the 2017 budget estimate of the SE states:

Abia 102.5 bn
Anambra 115.5 bn
Ebonyi 127.2 bn
Enugu 105 bn
Imo 131 bn

SE total 581.2 billion.

I did this before but let us do it again.Remove the governors and deputy governors in the 5 states and create one governor for the entire SE with capital in Enugu.Merge the 5 House of Assembly into one house and let each LGA send one representative to the SE House of Assembly.We have 95 LGAs in the SE so we will have 95 legislative members.

Merge the civil service into one.We would save a minimum of 450 billion naira(more than $1bn) in this year recurrent budget of the SE.This will be ploughed into infrastructure.We can identify 5 priority projects for this year in each state and put 85 billion each on them.

We do so again next year and the year after.In ten years we will be competing with Dubai.
Get all other geopolitical zones to repeat this process for ten years.Nigeria becomes a new country and an economic power.

If this is successful in the first two years,we write a new constitution with the 1963 constitution as a template and subject it to a constitutional referendum.Nigeria becomes a country of 6 states as federating units.Each state with it's own constitution and keeps 50% of it's revenues,send 30% to a distributable account and 20% to the FG.Each state can have it's own police if they want and fix it's own roads,schools, universities etc.

The National Assembly become a unicameral legislature with 109 members drawn from the existing senatorial districts.SE state can rename itself Biafra state.SW can become Odua ,SS Niger Delta,NW Arewa,NC Middle Belt,NE Kanem-Bornu state.

Nigeria returns to parliamentary democracy and become one of the world's top 10 economic power house in just over a decade.

I have been through this many years ago. if you want a solution to ur problem pls stop using sponge to bath. use only soap. Any type of soap without sponge is ok.

The last time I used sponge was in 1998 and there was no itching of any sort. In 2005, I tot over the years it would have stopped and I tried to use a new sponge I bought to my amazement the itching was much. I quickly ran to the bathroom for another round of bath. till today I don't use sponge.

Dirty towel or soap or water is not the problem but stop using sponge of any kind. just rub soap on ur body and use hand to wash it down. You can bath as many times as u like and there will be no negative reaction. just try it now after reading this piece and thank me later.

Same experience here Bro but I found out dirty or wet towels also make me itch.

I haven't used sponge since 2009.

Doctors and all concerned nairalanders, I really need to know if there is any treatment for itching especially after morning bath. I have used up all means known to me including, bathing hot water, applying aboniki after bath, etc. I brought this to nairaland believing to get a lasting solution. Thank you my good people.

I used to experience this for years.

Do you use dirty or wet towel?

The solution to your problem may lie in the answers to those 2 questions.
