monfizzy: There are jobs opportunity everywhere in the U.K. for sure but more in London. It’s like comparing jobs opportunity in Lagos to other parts of Nigeria.
Tier 2 visa sponsorship are usually sponsored by big companies such as the NHS and you’ll find more NHS Trust or jobs in London than anywhere else in Britain due to the population size of the capital. I work with the NHS and I’ll say in the past year, I’ve come across several Nigerians working with the NHS who recently switched from tier 4 to tier 2 visas.
Definitely one can get a tier 2 sponsorship anywhere in the U.K. but population factor can increase one’s chances. Is it better to live in a big city, get a job with a considerable high pay and spend more on living expenses and accommodation or live in a smaller city, with not so good pay but with cheaper accommodation and living expenses? I feel at the end of the day, they're same and for someone who wants to really establish in UK, get affordable mortgage and stuff, the latter is a better option but I may be wrong as I'm currently in Lagos lol |

Hello guys, please I need your opinion on this, especially someone who has been in same situation or know of someone... Please my names on my international passport is not properly arranged. My middle name was replaced with my first name and vice versa.
The passport expired this month and I'm about going for renewal. Now, where it got complicated is that my names on NIN are properly placed and immigration won't accept it for renewal unless I correct it to the way it's placed on my passport.
So, I'm currently left with the choice to either change the name on my passport or that on my NIN.
My question is if I change the name of my NIN and renew my passport, will it call for concern during the visa processing since all my other documents have different arrangement from my passport?
I'm considering going for the change of name on my NIN because currently changing name on passport isn't fast as usual. I have someone who initiated the process since March but yet to receive it.
I'm for January intake |

And another thing, will the German consulate observe the public hols on Monday? Don't think they do, but I just want to be sure. If your place is far from the embassy, please don't bother wasting your transport fare and time. The embassy observes public holidays in Nigeria and Germany. So since tomorrow is public holiday here, they won't be open. The reason you got a date for certifications of documents is because appointment booking for that category is automated and it's usually on Mondays. |

naijacentric: Hi guys my paddy was just rejected, please how should he go about it? Should he appeal or start a fresh application? The rejection letter is below...
Schr gechrter Mr mudiaga, the German embassy in Cotonou regrets to inform you that your application for a visa cannot be granted after the examination has been completed on the basis of the applicable immigration law provisions. The main reasons for the rejection of your application will be communicated to you below: You have applied for a visa to start a bachelor's degree at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in accordance with Section 16b (1) of the Residence Act. A prerequisite for this is that a current notification of admission is presented. The notification of admission presented relates to the winter semester 2020/21. There is no notification of admission for the current summer semester 2021. You also submitted a certificate from the University of Applied Sciences confirming that the winter semester 20/21 will only take place online. Entry to Germany is not required to participate online. The submitted proof of financing is not sufficient. The blocked account has a monthly blocked amount of € 853.00. However, according to the current regulations, this must be € 861.00 Furthermore, you have already completed a bachelor's degree in Nigeria. The application does not explain why you would like to start a Bachelor's degree in Germany again. Incidentally, the inner-German immigration authority in Hamm has refused to give its required approval. For the reasons mentioned above, the application for a national visa is rejected. Sincerely, On behalf of your visa section at the German Embassy in Cotonou You can file an action against this decision at the Berlin Administrative Court within one month of its notification. You also have the option of having this notification checked by the Cotonou diplomatic mission within one month of its notification (remonstration). During the remonstration, you can continue to file a lawsuit against this decision within the above-mentioned period, but this will end the remonstration procedure and the decision will only be checked in the legal proceedings. If the visa application is rejected after it has been checked by the diplomatic mission abroad. if another decision is issued again (remonstration decision), an action can then be brought against the administrative court in Berlin. Please give reasons for your remonstration and enclose suitable evidence, if this was not done with the visa application. Here's how I would appeal if I'm in your friend's shoe: 1. For reason one, a letter of presence in your school will suffice. 2. For reason two, updating your blocked account with the correct amount and providing proof for that. 3. For reason three, a good motivation letter (well crafted) giving at least three well-thought reasons for a second BSC will do a good job. This is really helpful if you have some experience in the field you're going for the second BSc. You will also need to give reasons why you can't go for master's instead in the same field. I strongly believe he can be considered if his reasons are sufficient enough. |

I am currently in Germany still learning and planning to come to UK eventually, the job market in UK is big for Data analytics and Machine learning. Hi Solarpower, why do you want to leave Germany for UK? Is it that the job market in Germany is not large enough compared to UK or is it about the language? daambassador: Many thanks bro...but what if I'm applying to about five or six different schools, do I still have to print all and does that implies that I'll make multiple photocopies of my documents which will be set aside for each of the schools in mind. Yes, each set of documents for each school with their application form. But if you're applying directly to the school via online where you have to upload documents yourself, that wouldn't be necessary as one set of documents will be used for all. But in a situation where you've to mail your documents to each school, then separate certifications suffice. |

Nonsoanthony: TESTIMONY Although it's coming late but I know it will be a good source of information for those that are already in Ukraine and want to move to Germany on a Student visa.
My Journey to Deutschland is a case of Determination and Gratitude to God.
I started my Deutschland journey January 2019, I got 5 admission from different schools by May 2019...exactly the month the German Embassy in lagos started this Category A and B of a thing...with thier conditions I fall into Category B. I booked an appointment with category B in May 2019..I prayed and fasted for a month for an appointment and that's to no avail...middle of June I booked category A with a leap of Faith and got an appointment immediately for 6 days later being 24th of June 2019.
I went for my appointment that day after check with Mr Paulinus I was allowed in...when it's my turn to be interviewed..the visa officer was so nice to me but had to turn me back as she said I can't be interviewed cos I didn't belong to category A...I was devastated but it didn't kill my spirit...I had to come back home and rebooked category B with my fasting and prayers. The winter semester 2019 passed no AD, I got an admission for summer 2020 booked and appointment again for Category B the summer semester passed no AD.
By May 2020 I told myself the truth that if I must achieved my dream of studying in Germany I must do it the hard way...I checked up for Ukraine as it will be a good route for me...I applied for Ukraine study visa and got my visa by August 2020. I moved to Ukraine in October after thier lockdown lifting on september 28.
Getting to Ukraine I registered with a school, Got an accommodation and also got my residence permit by end of November 2020. I also got my admission for Germany summer semester 2021 but I was confused whether I will stay in Ukraine for six months before applying from there...I called thier visa center..( Visametric).that was in December of 2020. I told them that I came into Ukraine in October that was 2 months back as of then...if it's possible to apply immediately or stay for 6months...They gave me a wonderful news I wanted to hear that I can apply immediately....they gave me date of on the phone immediately for December 11 which I later cancelled cos my block account wasn't ready..and rebooked for end of January 2021.
On the day of my appointment I went to the visa center ( visametric) at kryshatric street in Kiev.. as they told me on the phone..that there won't be any interview for the visa....It was only me that came for the submission that day..They just checked my documents and confirmed it was ok..I paid my vfs fee, visa fee and thumprinted.
Exactly a month after I received a call from the visametric that my documents has been returned from German Embassy and will be delivered the next day...my BP was on the high side as I wasn't aware of the content but I was very hopeful...when the parcel was returned the visa was stamped to the Glory of God. I was given a 6 months visa as against thier normal 3 months because of corona.
I arrived Germany two weeks ago... Germany is beautiful... Germany is powerful...I have been to Ukraine but seriously u can't compare the two..I just moved into my apartment in Nuremberg city and in the process of my residence permit at the moment.
THE GERMAN DREAM WORTH IT..... PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP.. Wow!!! Congrats man... Hope to join you soon in Nuremberg. |

henrycare53: Good evening guys, TESTIMONY TIME
I applied for interview date on 4/02/2021 and got a date for 10/02/2021 but I had to cancel the appointment date as I was yet to fund my BA. Then I reapplied on the 18/02/2021 and got a new date for interview which was 23/02/2021.
Questions asked during interview;
1. How will I be funding myself after my BA is exhausted 2. Why do I want to study masters 3. What was I doing after my graduation till now 4. My accommodation plans in Germany.
Got AM on the 22/03/2021 then got visum on 29/03/2021(Today)
P.S; I applied in UAE with a valid residence permit.(There is nothing like category over here)
Thanks to all that shared their success story here to make me motivated and information I got from this thread is invaluable. @MrAAA2, thanks for your guidance, I really appreciate. I wish the rest to get AD the very best. Congrats man. MrAAA2 is one of the most helpful persons I have come across on this forum. God bless him. |
Travel › Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by jamesy212(m): 4:31pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt: Very good question. You are 100% correct. As a student in Germany, you have 120 full day to work in a year and 240 half days to work in a year. Full day is 5-8hrs a day Half day is 4 hrs or less So because I took a full time job since last year, I can work until June this year, plus my one month and few days paid vacation which I plan taking next semester. Everything will last around August. So after my 120 days finishes in that company I will be told that I can't work with them again this year because of the 120 days clause, then I can stick with the other mini job company and expand my mini contract to part-time job and continue. The minijob is 240 days a year which means I can't overspend it even after converting to part-time around September. They have the option of expanding your contract if you want.
In Germany companies protect your data from other companies which means company A does not know how many hours you have worked in company B, that's why they ask you to tell them how many days you have worked for the year before employing you because they don't have that data until you tell them and whatever you tell them is what they work with. I have many instances to give but I am busy now maybe later. Thanks for your response bro. This makes a whole lot of sense already. Even though I can imagine the stress even though I know you're reaping the benefits. Please I sent you a DM. Will be glad to get a response. |

Travel › Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by jamesy212(m): 6:29am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt: It depends on the number of courses you register for. German educational system is very flexible. Everything totally depends on you. You can decide to do 7 courses if you don't want to work much, you can also decide to be taking it slowly like I do while making money and improving your language. I registered for only one-course last semester and took a full-time job together with another side job sef because I needed to raise millions for a project in Nigeria which I have done by 60%, this coming semester, I plan to register for 2 courses to finalize the project. If you register for many courses, then you have to reduce your work to pass the courses very well because education here is tough.
One lecture usually lasts 40-60mins a day, and you might be having it like two times a week depending on the nature of the course, then multiply it by number of courses you register for. I'm confused at the bolded. I thought as a student, you're allowed to work 120 days full time in a year and 240 days half. Since you took a full time job, how are you able to balance that? Does that mean you will have to stop working at a certain time during the year so as to not go overboard your work limit. Please do explain when you can. |

Bergoglio: Please can anyone help me with the eligibility for permanent resident permit in cotonou. If you're considering applying from Benin republic for German student visa, kindly note that you've to be a resident in Benin Republic for at least 6months before you can apply. I don't really know the resident permit application but I don't think it will be difficult to achieve. Based on my research, you can apply from Togo if you've a resident permit less than 6 months but I doubt that's achievable in other African countries. |

Please I need to be cleared on how the admission process for German universities work.
For instance, most of the Schools I intend applying to opens application by April and set deadline to July.
Now, my question is this...
Will the admission be issued before or after the application deadline if I apply by April?
I'm considering the fact that school resumes by October and international student need sufficient time to apply for Visa and all.
So I don't think it's wise to wait till application is over before one can be given admission.
Please if you've undergone this process or have good knowledge how it works, please let me know.
Thanks in anticipation |

Tourist and employment visa Freelance employment visa is always term as personal residence visa. You can get it done with a company but they are not responsible to give you a job. You can use your visa anywhere you like.
If you do not get any job within one month you will be on over stay and this is not what I wish.
Jobs are still the way it use to be but security opportunities are picking up speedily. Chief, please I just PMed you. Would need some advice regards a decision I'm about taking. Anticipating your response. Thanks |
