The only argument you can make for Obi that will make sense to me is that it is the turn of the east to produce the President. You can't use EndSARS because Akwuzu SARS, Ezu River and James Nwafor hang around his neck like a concrete slab. You can't use savings because Fidelity Bank actually needed that N25 billion to get to N29 billion deposit and keep its license. You can't use ASUU strike because schools in his state were on strike for 6 months and Doctors for 13 months while he was Governor. You can't use IGR because he couldn't grow it. You can't use love for the masses because he increased school fees at ANSU from as low as N13,000 to as high as N230,000 while he was Governor. You can't use his academic prowess, he doesn't have it. You can't use local production over consumption because he remains an importer of things we can source or produce locally. If he could have, he would have. You can't use religion because until he decided to use religion as a strategy he had never visited any church that is not of his own denomination to do anything. His current strategy of emphasizing our fault lines is not showing him to be someone willing to unify. We are not seeking a Christian President but a Nigerian President. At over 60 years of age, he is not Young so don't give me that youth BS. He doesn't have the ability to make friends politically, he has a penchant for picking fights he can't win and running away from his party's platform when faced with unfavorable tides. One of Buhari's weaknesses is his inability to build these sort of bridges. We can't replace him with someone who is even worse. In fact, I put it to you that if Peter Obi was running for the Governorship of any of the southeast states, he would lose gallantly. The only thing that makes Obi a factor is his ethnicity and the fact that Igbos should be given the opportunity to rule for fairness and equity. Unfortunately, that point is not one you make by insulting or threatening people. ..... My opinion: Even the so-called valid ethnicity point in this writeup has actually been forfeited, you can't spend 7 years calling for war and destruction of a country and in the 8th year expect to be trusted to govern it. |
FactBoyz:I agree, very presidential for a Biafra country where effectiveness is judged by looks and not substance. |
Omoslim26:Please don't get your knickers in a twist, Osun state will still vote for Tinubu. They just don't like Oyetola. No herd mentality here....they think and make informed judgements. |
Omotosho1090905:Surely you can't blame this spelling on ASUU strike ![]() |
Reyhzor:Lame argument dude. Invest some time in some research.... not propaganda....research to be able to articulate your point. We need to move away from trivial arguments so we can vote the right person. Buhari appeared to be the the right person at the time.... we all just wanted to get rid of Jonathan without studying the character .... see the disaster we're in now as a country. We can't just go for Obi when he only soundbites to offer. |
NEUDUDE:Not to sound rude but this is herd mentality assessment. Why the focus on Tinubu, it happens in other states as well that are performing quite badly. At least Lagos has something to show. I'm afraid for the day APC loses Lagos. People will really appreciate what has been achieved in the years since Tinubu. I'm a Lagosian and have seen and experienced the changes over the years. Since Tinubu, it has been consistent improvement... Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. No one is perfect |
onuman:I like your argument though, but why is the attack on hime so vociferous. He has Lagos to show for this achievements whilst Obi can't say the same. I always say, I don't see people flocking to Anambra now or when he was Governor. I honestly don't share the enthusiasm for his leadership. He also has incriminating evidence on him as well. |
Kalashnikov49:I only see OBIdient the same as Buhari because he's strictly SouthEast. His cabinet will be full of people from that part of Nigeria and will ignore our Federal character. So wake up and smell the coffee. He'll be just as ineffective as Jonathan. Notherners will not let him do anything to better the lives of Nigerians, so he'll have to protect himself with the people he can trust..... And we're back to square one..... Tinubu is the only one the other leaders fear..... |
agadez007:Dude.. it is an ambition to do things differently and effect the changes required to place our country in it's right place which is to be the real giant of Africa. No one else is in a position and has the desire and capacity to do this but Tinubu. |
IboHausaYoruba:Quite amazing that the topic we've focused is the Muslim-Muslim ticket. We need to move away from all this trivia. They've taken NNPC from y'all, the debt profile of the country is through the roof, the kidnapped victims are still in captivity, we're under siege in the country, ASUU is still on strike. Instead of focusing on these issues you talk about religion. We currently have a Pastor as the VP, how's is that helping us ?The issues are bigger than a small time politician..... |
posty56:There's really no need to be rude because not everyone agrees with Peter Obi's type of politics. He really does not have much to show for his time in Govt. He is actually one of them.... unfortunately we need to chose the best of all three based on their time in govt and Tinubu is the only one with something to show which is obvious to all. |
Re: Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Fayemi Urges CAN To Evolve A Charter Of Demands by Yorubalandlord(m): 3:34pm Thanks sir for saying the truth. We yoruba Christians are solidly behind Peter obi, we reject any form of Muslim Muslim ticket, because Nigeria is not a Muslim country,. Let every Christian in Nigeria join hands together to be obedient and yusful to this our great country. (Quote) (Report) 28 Likes (Like) (Share) Please speak for yourself.... We Yorubas are definitely NOT solidly behind Peter Obi. Peter Obi does not have a solid track record of achievements unlike Tinubu who has a visible one we can all refer to. I keep saying if Peter Obi were that great in Anambra, I didn't see people flocking to Anambra for a better standard of life while he was Governor, instead the reverse is the case... People still move to Lagos. |
