PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Will Never Progress by janami(f): 10:40pm On Jan 03, 2008
ur question answered: there are more people doing something about it in the usa. let us look at the job situation here, while i am screaming my mouth out that there is no employment opportunities in naija, americans are creating employment for themselves, not waiting for the govt.
while i am screaming that food dey too expensive o! some americans are migrating to farmlands
when tranformer spoil for area, instead of the neighbors to contribute, they begin to shout fashola's name.
need i say more?
TV/MoviesRe: What Kind Of Movie Do You Want Nigerians To Make? by janami(f): 10:32pm On Jan 03, 2008
a simple definition girl (and please liken it to the "crappy" movie we are talking about )

see, total war shows that nigerian script writers are atleast trying now
PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Will Never Progress by janami(f): 10:20pm On Jan 03, 2008
cos american people just dont put themselves down just to be heard, they want something done and most times, something is done. They are a people of action, not words alone. see, i hate current affairs programmes in nigeria, why? because pple just sit back, cross their legs and criticse, talk, bla bla bla. they neva do anything abt it. especially pple in leadership

PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Will Never Progress by janami(f): 10:04pm On Jan 03, 2008
nigeria can never progress becos nigerians like putting themselves down. When someone makes an effort, they call it "crap" but they never stand up to do a better job of it tongue

TV/MoviesRe: What Kind Of Movie Do You Want Nigerians To Make? by janami(f): 9:43pm On Jan 03, 2008
too many epic films with repetitive storylines in the market now tongue
@TOH and niceuzor
Total war sucked? see, u have a right to ur own opinions o.
i pride myself in analysing movies and i give credit where it is due. Total war had a few flaws, so that doesnt stop me from praising the line deliveries and the very unique storyline. Francis duru was speaking like a very crazed military man, a man with no direction at all, (a scatter brain)liberian or not, see u guys have to learn to read between the lines in a movie. The state of his mind was reflected in his speech. That is one other thing i loved about the movie. criticisms of movies goes beyond just speculations. They taught him to speak the liberian english, what did u expect? he was playing a part not claiming the part as real life. we are too quick to put nigerian things down. We shld learn to be more appreciative
TV/MoviesRe: What Kind Of Movie Do You Want Nigerians To Make? by janami(f): 8:19am On Jan 03, 2008
seun, try to watch total war and final war (a nigerian movie) came out 2007. Yhe storyline is unique, but wat helps the storyline along is the script itself. The director was good (didnt chk for his name) and all the actors and actresses did well. We all know that a good storyline can turn to a nightmare with bad directors, bad deliveries of lines etc. (i dey go off track o)
what i want to see in a nigerian movie is good line deliveries, very good actors and actresses (not some fake ones that they put on now a days, an old woman acting as a skool girl?), a good story (i have found in ameriacan films that even bad storyline , meaningless ones, are made meaningful with good scripts, or probably engaging even if it is meaningless), originality in everything and i mean everything (they shld try to mimick everyday life and not make it look so fake). The only thing i did not like about total war is omotola's costume when she was in liberia fleeing from the war. when in the 70's did we have the kind of jeans she was wearing? originality man.

ok. i understand now. T fare shouldnt be too expensive especially if the person stays npt too far from iyana ipaja. Lag bus just takes N100 from iyana ipaja to sango. But goodluck sha. sango is really not a bad idea

RomanceRe: Romantic Marriage Proposals by janami(f): 8:33pm On Jan 02, 2008
a romantic proposal right? hmmm, how about a nice candle light dinner, in a romantic setting o. where soft music is playing in the background. Maybe a slow song, let us say "Endless Love" with a nice glass of red wine. A rose on the side of my plate and my guy looking into my eyes and singing along with the song. then when the song is true, he adds his own words in a sing - song manner saying "will u marry me?" then with a flourish, reaches in the helm of his coat and brings out a ring. (mushy rite?) romantic enuff na grin

RomanceRe: If Your Boyfriend Keeps Many Female Friends by janami(f): 6:53am On Jan 02, 2008
hmm,  i have read through the replies and i agree with some of it. i am in that position as well, i mean my boyfriend keeps too many female friends and i am not finding it in the least bit easy. Let us forget about depth of relationship, because me and him have really gone far. i feel uneasy most times and i talked to him about it. He thinks i am only being jealous. well, maybe  i am or maybe i am not. i have only got blood running down my veins. how wont i feel bad when these girls sometimes come visiting. some of them even go as far as eyeing me sometimes (u know girls now) but it is quite clear that he loves me and he has nuttin goin wit these girls but girls can be very dangerous. i like what zignor said. keep more male friends. i put a kind of distance with my male friends (i ve more male friends than female friends) when things started getting serious with us, i mean, how would he feel coming to my house and meeting a guy?  i guess this new year, i will just make it a point to reacquaint myself with my male friends Maybe after a few cold hand shakes with them, he will realise  that he has passed adolescent stage. As i know it, as a man matures the level of his friendship with girls depreciates compared to when he was single abi? am i wrong?
