Kudos to Igbos for doing everything possible to sustain the Peoples Democratic Party so that democracy will be entrenched properly. when the All Progressives Congress came together, Pdp felt the heat and everybody was saying that was good for Nigeria’s democracy because it put the PDP and Jonathan on their toes, and also made Jonathan did what he was unable to do 5 years within 6 weeks . Igbos are to sustain PDP so that there would be a credible opposition at the centre.Though its 90 percent sure they are doing so because they see APC as the party of Amala eaters and Cattle rearers and they don't want to associate with them. . APC was rejected by Igbos in the last polls for less than objective reasons.Their hatred for APC was one of the reasons they adopted Jimi Agbaje, but Yorubas voted Ambode just to show they own Lagos. Lagos has an Igbo commissioner but Rivers cannot even contemplate that despite the population of Igbos in Port Harcourt. The Lagoon Issue came up in Oba Akiolu's statement because the Igbos adopted Jimi as their candidate. His statement was tribalistic and comfirmed his hatred for ndigbos, though the hatred might be because they claim Lagos is a no man's land.He supported GEJ definitely he was expected to support Jimi, but reverse was the case. Will the Igbo ever rule Nigeria? To me the answer is YES if only they form alliance with either Amala eaters or Cattle reares. 2019- there is no hope except If APC choose an Igbo as their flag bearer come 2019.Am 100% sure 70% of Igbos would not vote All Progressive Congress (APC) come 2019 except if their Presidential candidate is an Igbo man. 90% of hausas would not vote PDP come 2019 because they have adopted APC as their party and 70% would not PDP come 2019 except if their Presidential candidate is a yoruba man. . ARE YORUBAS TRIBALISTIC===> CAPITAL YES . ARE HAUSAS TRIBALISTIC ====> SOPHISTICATED YES . ARE IGBOS TRIBALISTIC =====> GIGANTIC YES . BASH ME AND THUNDER WEY GO FIRE YOU DEY GYM DEY DO PRESS UP..... |

LAFIA – Not less than 55 Corps members and staff of INEC deployed to serve as presiding officers were held hostage for 24 hours in Assakio, Ashige and Adogi in Lafia local government area on Saturday. The corps members who were rescued by security men and brought to the INEC Headquarter in Lafia at about 4.00pm where collation of election result was ongoing, said they were held hostage by the host communities because the INEC’s returning officers were not found to collate and returned election results from the communities. The spokes person Mr Adamu Anzalu said that the voters in the areas refused to let them go because the returning and collation officers refused to show up after the election was peacefully concluded. Anzalu stated further that they tried severally to put call across to the returning officers but they refused to pick their calls. The host communities, who alleged foul play, insisted that if the returning officer do not show up they would not released the presiding officers. Not until security officers intervened and pleaded with them before they were released but those from Adogi and Ashige left their electoral materials including the election result with the communities. The REC Alh. Abdullahi Danyaya while addressing the rescued Corps members said he will ensure that the materials in the custody of the communities are returned to the commission. He also assured that he will not council elections in the areas. It must he noted that Assokio and Ashige ward had their election counselled in the last election over what the INEC boss termed election irregularities. . http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/55-corps-members-released-after-being-held-hostage-for-24hours-in-nasarawa/ |

BENIN CITY – GOVENROR Adams Oshiomhole led All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state floored the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Assembly elections held Saturday, winning 21 out of the 24 House of Assembly seats in the state. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih picked three seats for his party in his Edo Central senatorial district of the state. Meanwhile unofficial results in the rescheduled Edo South senartorial election in Oriomnwon Local Government Area of Edo state, indicated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Pharm.Matthew Urhoghide defeated the Minority whip of the House of Representatives and APC candidate, Mr Samson Osagie. Results from polling units indicated that though Osagie defeated Urhoghide in Oriomwon but the poor voters turn out affected his chances in upturning the about 27,000 votes which Urhoghide was leading with after the March 28, National Assembly elections in six Local Government Areas in Edo South. Meantime, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo state, Mr Mike Igini, who declared that elections have been concluded in the state, commended the people of the state for their support throughout the elections. Some of the House of Assembly results in Edo South indicated that the immediate past Edo state Commissioner in the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and APC House of Assembly candidate in Ikpoba Okhai, Mr Henry Okwuarobo polled 23,571 as against 14,459 polled by the PDP candidate. The former chairman of Egor Local Government Area and APC House of Assembly candidate for Egor, Mr Crosby Eribo polled 19,554 t defeat the PDP candidate, Nosa Adams who polled 12,233 votes. Results from the collations centers indicated that the APC won the entire House of Assembly seats in Edo South and Edo North senatorial districts of the state while they picked three out of the six in Edo Central district. Igini who spoke to Vanguard Sunday said, “ First Edo state people I must commend them for the kind of corporation they gave to the commission. I must commend them the way and manner they appreciated that we stand for electoral justice, that all that is required from us is to provide a level playing field. Haven looked at the reports from other parts of the country you will see that the outcome of the election is as contested by the candidates, it is a reflection of what the people wanted. “Baring a few complaints here and there, any human activity of this complex nature you will not expect that there will be no isolated case of deviation by one ad-hoc staff or the other. Of course on account of politicians who are very very desperate to want to have unfair advantage of the system? Over all I am very satisfied, particularly with the performance of Saturday election unlike the first election, our logistic arrangement was perfect. “ We got to all the polling unit as at 6am and materials were on ground. They were areas we had issues with card readers in the morning but the problem was quickly dealt with. The card readers worked in a very fantastic manner. Personally, my level of satisfaction in this Saturday election was very exceptional and I am very happy. I have kept faith that under my watch it will be free, fair, credible election, providing a level playing field for all candidates” he stated. . http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/oshiomhole-floors-pdp-wins-21-out-of-24-house-of-assembly-seats-as-pdp-wins-edo-south-senatorial-seat/ |
