I already said it here before that the series is not for everyone except those that really understands the music industry and what's really going on.
Series like this that goes against the tides normally gets bad reviews and are not always renewed for new seasons.

People just want to watch series and start seeing bloods, fights and super heroes.
If it's not Batman or marvel's thor or extraction then it's not a great movie or series!!

How i wish they know that these popular series are never realistic but when they see a movie or series that tends to expose the hidden realities of the world, they say such series and movies are boring.

The idol is an expose into the music industry but only few people can relate because majority of people don't even understand the music industry.

The idol reminds me of realistic stories of Britney spears.
Michael Jackson.
Whitney Houston.
and many more.
Music industry is too deep.
in that scene where the manager told the producer, that they should kill off the Weeknd which is tedros

Now that scene right there is a revelation of what is happening in the America music industry, especially if they consider you or see you as a threat against the order of things.

The idol episode 1 and 2 is a solid 8/10 for me.

Mehn!!! Fork ratings and fork how low you think of this series. Personally this is one of my best series in 2023 so far.

Omw thing about this series is how the casts killed their roles especially Jocelyn and the weeknd.
The first scene where she was changing her facial expressions was GOATED.
she showed pure GOD given talent, she is indeed the daughter of Johny Depp.

This series just kind of highlighted life behind the scenes in the music industry.

The Weeknd totally did well in his roll too.

HBO giving us daring series, they are the best when it comes to series for mature audience.
They give it their all and they don't hold back.

That sex scene between the personal assistance of Jocelyn and that black guy looks so Damm real to me.
I know they will say it's not real, i just feel it's real.
Anyways i can't wait for episode 3 and i hope they won't cancel the series because it has the potential for running for 3 to 5 seasons.

I am pretty sure Disney has so many projects like this to explore but no they rather ruin classic animations and include modern day shenanigans. I heard they are working on a live action Hercules. I am sure Megara will probably be played by a trans woman or Hercules will find it hard taking down 2adult man while megara will have no problem taking down 4/5 at a go.

The funny thing about this matter, the same GOT where she got a little exposure in Hollywood was produced by HBO. She's not had any significant project ever since, so they definitely knows how much she is worth.

Joaquin Phoenix earned $4.5mn for Joker in 2019. A movie that grossed $1bn+ in the global box office. That's a huge disservice in my view regarding how much the studio made. But look at his pay in upcoming sequel. Phoenix and director Todd Phillips are pocketing $20mn each — 4.4x times initial payment.
That's called leverage and growth. A concept which is some ppl weirdly don't still get.

Who the fvvk knows who Bella Ramsey is? The only project she's known for, she didn't even get up to 20 minutes total for 8 seasons of GOT. Just used in a couple scenes and backing orders and people thinks she's that important. Oberyn Martell is far more memorable and a major player for a whole season than Bella could ever dream of.

A 19 year old getting paid $700k for 10 episodes in her FIRST lead role and breakout performance is more than enough.
This ppl dey underrate Pedro Pascal with his lead roles in Narcos, WW84, Mando and other numerous roles in various films and TV shows. 20+ years of experience comparing a kid that's been nonexistent in entertainment since GOT ended.
