"Roald Dahl in particular may be well known for his words, but the images which accompanied many of his children's books have helped to paint the picture for children for generations. The poll of 2,000 adults saw Roald Dahl take the top spot with a staggering 58 per cent of the vote. Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, JK Rowling and Steven Spielberg completed the top five. donnie:tnx for the correction |
CACAWA:it's a pity I didn't see this thread on time to educate u a little. I don't like comparing pastor chris and tb joshua becoz they are friends with different gifts. Pastor chris is the greatest teacher alive today while tb joshua is the greatest prophet alive. Pastor chris popularity dwindled a little after 2006 when he held d largest crusade ever in nigeria with over 3million people in attendance blocking the lagos - Ibadan expressway. Pastor had a clash with lagos govt becoz of dat programme and has not held any crusade since 2006 becoz there's no venue to contain the crowd. Pastors healing school tv programmes were banned by Nigerian govt becoz of envy of CAN and PFN. |

WARRI—THE Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI, and Niger Delta Scholars, NDS, Warri, Delta State, have expressed concern over the recent claim by the Alpha-May Club, an Itsekiri organization, that the Itsekiri ethnic nationality owns New Warri, also known as Ogbe-Ijoh. National Coordinator of NDS, Chief Monday Keme, said, yesterday: “We are not surprised at this claim because it is the internal desire of Itsekiri to wipe away Ogbe-Ijoh from Warri leading to the famous Warri crises. “We do not want to be reminded of our unpleasant past. The three ethnic groups, Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo, all know their boundaries in Warri South Local Government Area. We, therefore, call on men of conscience to rise and condemn comments capable of causing ethnic crisis in Warri and its environs. “For the records, ‘New Warri or Ogbe-Ijoh’ comprises two leases: B2 Volume one, dated 30/7/1906 (360 acres) and lease B5 Volume one, dated 15/7/1908 (180 acres) making a total of 540 acres and not 350 acres as claimed by the Itsekiri. “It must be added here for the course of subsequent history, that New Warri, known as Ogbe-Ijoh, belongs to the Ogbe-Ijoh people and the past and present leaders of Ogbe-Ijoh have exercised considerable rights over these parcels of land. The Warri Assessment report, 1927, Nigerian Civil Service List and Handbook of 1910 (page 27), land leased all confirmed Ogbe-Ijoh ownership of new Warri or Ogbe-Ijoh, including Chief Dore Numa’s letter to Ogbe-Ijoh people dated 1923,” the group said. Similarly, the Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI, in a statement by its National President, Austin Ozobo, said: “It is pertinent to note that the Itsekeri were visitors to Ijawland. This is a fact you cannot put under the carpet. “They were nursed and were given Adirimo, an Ijaw woman, from Ogulagha to raise the purported Itsekiri Kingdom. It will interest the public to note that Itsekiri did not own any area in Ogbe-Ijoh, Forcados and Escravos. The aforesaid places are ancient Ijaw settlements. No Itsekiri settlement is found in Forcados, Ogbe-Ijoh and Escravos in Delta State. “The era of parading with pirated or falsified document is over. How can a man who visited Ijaw at Amatu and Orueselemo and squatted for several decades turn to own such lands?. ”http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/05/groups-slam-itsekiri-claim-new-warri/ Cc lalasticlala |
DavidEsq:now u sound more like that dude at calvary that told Jesus to come down from the cross so that he will believe. U will still look for fault if he showed u. |
LIZ BENSON! . . . the return of the veteran. |
Yea it's more important to host Pastor Chris at that stadium where people will meet with Jesus than to waste the time watching soccer that won't heal the sick. |
People don't value what they ve until they lose it. The Jews are the wealthiest people in the world becoz they always take advantage of an opportunity. |

Good news. At least 400 potential murderers ve been brought to the light. Dropping their fulani swords for the sword of the spirit. |
The haters won't be happy with this thread. They prefer to see prosperity amongst sinners and muslims. Well done bros donnie for showcasing the colourful beauty and prosperity of God through the Believers LoveWorld Nation. |
Hilarious! I couldn't stop myself from laughing. She was busy speaking the urhobo with a serious face. This is a wake-up call to our urhobo brethren. |
The spiritual darkness hovering around Zimbabwe's economy would be destroyed on that day. God bless Zimbabwe. |
I don't need Aliyu to provide proof before knowing America wanted Jonathan out. Remember the Chibok girls case how Hollywood movie stars were patronise to campaign against Jonathan in a subtle manner. International conspiracy is real. Believe it or not. |
Theres no amount of explanation u tell the haters that will convince them. Their hate filled questions always goes in a merry-go-round. When u succeed in answering one of their questions, they will quickly throw another one at u that u ve answered b4. Once they discover they don't ve more questions to throw they resort to throwing insults at christ embassy members or pastor chris. |
Congrats op where u take see them? Them give u money? |

YonkijiSappo:someone once said (was it UPU? Can't remember) that urhobos are the second ethnic group in nigeria that migrates a lot only second to the igbo. Omo yoruba this ur table seems to make that statement quite true. |
Hi fratermathy, greetings to u. I ve been reading ur articles both on this forum and Facebook concerning the projection, defence, love and unity of the urhobos. For this I say well done. Do not let anyone bully u into accepting less or make the urhobos feel inferior among other ethnic groups. Now concerning urhobos robust population in nigeria, I once read on newspaper when the baale of ajegunle said urhobos where the second ethnic group in nigeria to settle and own properties in ajegunle. I also read somewhere or heard which I can't remember the source that urhobos where the second ethnic group to settle in Jos after the indigenous plateau peeps. There's no part of Northern nigeria u won't find a robust urhobo population but people are not aware becoz urhobos lack unity. They don't form communities like hausa and yoruba and they prefer to speak the language of their host. A bini friend of mine once lamented that he got to a village in benin which was made up of urhobos. He lamented becoz he said urhobos refused to grab and claim lands like ijaw and itsekiri that's why urhobos are relegated to only delta state. I served in ilaje during my nysc. The urhobos form the second ethnic group in ilaje. They are more than igbos there. They even know how to speak urhobo more than deltans yet many of them ve yoruba names(the same applies to okitipupa). Lastly my dad's security guard from adamawa was surprised when I took him round urhobo villages becoz of the large population. He said northern nigeria has landed space but sparse population. I said this becoz of those crazy guys that think kanuris, gbagyis and nupes are more populated than urhobos. How many kanuris can u come across in southern nigeria? But u can come across many urhobos in Northern nigeria. Cheers! |
