These are definitions of landlocked and urhobos don't fall under these definitions. The last definition shows Ijaw and Itsekiri cannot be a separate country without urhobo communities intertwine with them.

Hi Pazienza , nonaira and fratermathy I think u guys should sreenshot the meaning of the word 'landlocked' from various sources. It would put an end to this long argument.

Riverine urhobos exist in warri south, ughelli - south (river forcados), sapele (benin river), and Bomadi(ijawland)

As a believer in Christ I was tempted to ignore Marchman but I had to write this reply to encourage Christ Embassy members especially the 'children' in particular and true Christians of different denominations in general.

Now concerning Marchman, going through his previous threads on Nairaland and the titled thread on why he left Christ Embassy i concluded he was never a true member of Christ Embassy or a christian but a Wolf among the Sheep. No true Christian goes to the media to write lies against his biological family, local church or other churches no matter how offended he is. This is why Muslims are more United than Christians.

Warri is a very volatile place but let me attempt to present you with some facts:

1. The traditional "Warri" is an Itsekiri enclave and the name seems to be derived from Itsekiri as well.
2. The modern Warri is largely made up of Urhoboland, with some parts of Itsekiriland.
3. The cosmopolitan Warri is 80% Urhoboland (extending to Delta Central LGAs such as Uvwie, Udu and Okpe).
4. The Olu of Warri title has attracted criticisms, litigations, etc between Ijaws (who also occupy riverine Warri areas), Itsekiri and Urhobos.
5. It was finally resolved that the Olu of Warri is JUST a title and he has no hold over Urhobo land or Ijaw land in Warri.
6. Traditional Urhobo homesteads in Warri include: Otovwodo, Ejeba, parts of Okere, Ugberikoko, Ogunu, Iyara, etc.
7. Itsekiri areas in Warri include Upper and Lower Erejuwa, parts of Okere, Ugbuwanugue, parts of Alder's town, NPA area, etc
8. Itsekiris use the term "Warri" to refer to their entire land, including those areas NOT in the city of Warri.
9. Urhobos use Warri to refer ONLY to the Warri City where their land is situated and its adjoining areas. Urhobos have never claimed to own all of Warri but ONLY where their land is located.
10. Both the Urhobos and Itsekiris are MIGRANTS to the Warri area. Itsekiris migrated from Yorubaland while the Urhobos there migrated from Olomu and Agbarha. The time of the migration and who arrived first is a subject of controversy and lost to history.

I ve no intention of prolonging warri issue on this thread but I need to quickly correct ur write-up about lower / upper erejuwa. Lower erejuwa is part of agbarha-warri, upper erejuwa is part of okumagba layout ( central warri). Itsekiri has no stake there.

Nigeria minorities are recalcitrant in nature. They hate oppression. For example Chief Oshue of Urhobo ethnic minority was the first Nigerian to protest against the British tax govt and declared a separate Republic nation inside Colonial Nigeria.
In July 1927 he converged a meeting of urhobo, isoko, ukwuani, Ijaw and itsekiri and passed some resolutions that includes:
1) Trade embargo on export to Britain.
2) Abolition of colonial judicial and administrative institutions.
3) Declaration of warri province as an independent republic of free nations.
Oshue was appointed head of government and was addressed as excellency. He was arrested by the Britain's and sentenced to hard labour but his revolution spread across the Niger to igbo land which led to the famous Aba women riot of 1929.
Another recalcitrant man that declared a Republic inside independent Nigeria was Isaac Adaka Boro of Ijaw ethnic minority in 1966 when he battled the Nigeria govt for 12 days. This was before the igbos declared their Biafra Republic in 1967.

Many years ago, when TB Joshua was the most criticised he was actually regarded as a magician but when he mastered the use of english and started preaching people started listening.
