Former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, on Friday challenged his critics to prove allegations of corruption levelled against him during his eight years rule, according to a News Agency of Nigeria report.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, on arrival from Minna, Babangida said that people accusing him of corruption ``should know what to do‘‘.
He declared: ``The way we look at things is that if you call me a thief, you have to prove it.
``You know what to do; go ahead and prove it and not just make noise about it.‘‘
Commenting on his strategy for the 2011 presidential election, Babangida said he planned to use two political structures to actualise his ambition.
``I will utilise two political structures; one is the people, and the second is a political party,’’ he added.
He promised that if elected, he would use his wealth of experience as a statesman to make life meaningful for the populace.
``Nigeria is a cohesive entity. I have the requisite experience to sustain the unity,’’ he said.
Babaginda, who ruled Nigeria from 1985 to 1993, had on April 11 in Benin City, Edo State,declared his intention to run for the 2011 presidential election.

it is no longer rumour that IBB wants to lead the country again.This proclaimation has been greeted with alot controversy mainly from those who oppose him.many claim that IBB is corupt and evil.He even challenged his enemy to prove all this allegations against him.the question is would you vote for him if he publicly appologizes for all the ill he had done to nigeria.
